Goldeneye is a classic SNES FPS that is beloved by many old-school gamers.  The title was one of the first to have a robust multiplayer, years before console online play was implemented.  Gamers that have fond memories of Rare's classic shooter may get a chance to experience it again, as current rumors have the title going to Xbox Live Arcade.

According to website Xbox Evolved,  a graphically updated version of the game will be available on Xbox Live before the release of the next Activision's next James Bond game.  This version of the game will add in the online play that the game predated, allowing current gamers to experience some multiplayer roots. 

More details should be forthcoming in the future, including official confirmation (or denial) by Microsoft and/or Rare and an official release date.  We'll keep you posted as news becomes available.
