The Incredible Hulk Muscles Its Way into Stores

SEGA of America, Inc. today announced that THE INCREDIBLE HULK video game has shipped to stores across North America. Based on both the Marvel Studios feature film being released in theaters on June 13, 2008 and the popular Marvel Comics series created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK is available for Xbox 360, PS3, PlayStation 2, Wii, and Nintendo DS, with the PC version to follow shortly. SEGA will further enhance the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions with free downloadable content that allows for competitive multiplayer online gameplay and other online features which will become available in late-June.  The game is rated E10+ and will cost anywhere from $30 to $60 depending on which version you pick up.  Here’s what SEGA had to say:

THE INCREDIBLE HULK is a fast-paced, action-packed video game that enables players to take on the role of one or more of Marvel’s most powerful Super Heroes. As the Hulk, players can demolish anything in their path, including lamp posts, passing cars and even entire buildings. Featuring the voice talent of several of the movie’s stars including Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, Tim Blake Nelson, and William Hurt, the fury-fueled game also features key moments from the film as well as additional plotlines and characters from THE INCREDIBLE HULK universe. Players crash through New York City, battling gigantic enemies amidst soaring skyscrapers in a massive open world where anything and everything can be used as a weapon.

In addition to the epic single-player experience, THE INCREDIBLE HULK’s upcoming downloadable bonus content includes six competitive two-player mission types that test the speed, strength and skill of Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers everywhere. Each mission takes place in one of five arenas, presenting dynamic and fully destructible environments packed with nonstop action and ruthless enemies. This update will also allow players to access the online leaderboards and online matchmaking features.
