Marvel Giving Thor and Captain America their own Video Games

Marvel Entertainment revealed its third quarter financial report today to investors. While net sales suffered greatly year on year, two bits of news certainly help its financial outlook going forward. According to the report, as picked up by G4, superheroes Thor and Captain America are set for their own video games in 2011. Specifically, Thor’s game will launch in May of 2011, while Captain America fans will have to wait till July of 2011. Both games are being developed and published by SEGA, and they are timed to coincide with their scheduled theatrical releases. While both games will be movie tie-ins, we can only hope that the lessons learned from DC’s Batman: Arkham Asylum will be implemented in these titles – there’s no need for another slapped-together offering like that of Iron Man.
