Final Fantasy XIII Coming to North America Early?

Today, Square Enix announced at an investor briefing that Final Fantasy XIII could be ready for North international consumption earlier than initially expected. The news was reported on by Impress Watch in Japanese, and then picked up and translated by IGN’s Anoop Gantayat. While the initial promise of spring delivery seemed reasonable, Square Enix may be able to launch the game within fiscal 2009 (ending March 31, 2009). While this seems to support the original timeframe, expect the game to come out earlier in order to help bolster the company’s Q4 earnings. After all, the comments were made at an investors’ meeting.
