Successfully complete the game to unlock the basement area of the building.
Get 40 Silver Stars to unlock Hidden Boss 1 in the basement.
Get 40 Gold Stars to unlock Hidden Boss 2 in the basement.
At the main menu, select "Construction Zone", then select "WiFi Connection", followed by "Receive". Select an open spot, "Receive", then the Nintendo logo. You can now access the WiFi levels without a Friend code.
Collect all cards in a world (one in each level) to unlock the mini-game for that world. All mini-games are Shy Guy Smash, with varying degrees of difficulty and different pipe layouts.
Successfully complete the indicate number of mini-games to unlock the corresponding Special Construction Kit:
- Special Kit 1 (Mini-Toad): Successfully complete three mini-games
- Special Kit 2 (Mini-Peach): Successfully complete six mini-games
- Special Kit 3 (Mini-DK): Successfully complete nine mini-games
- Special Kit 2 (Mini-Peach): Successfully complete six mini-games
Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding Construction Kit for creating custom levels:
- Jungle Hijinks: Defeat Donkey Kong at Jungle Hijinks
- Lava Dome: Defeat Donkey Kong at Lava Dome
- Magnet Mania: Defeat Donkey Kong at Magnet Mania
- Mushroom Mayhem: Defeat Donkey Kong at Mushroom Mayhem
- Pipe Works: Defeat Donkey Kong at Pipe Works
- Spooky Attic: Defeat Donkey Kong at Spooky Attic
- Toadstool Castle: Defeat Donkey Kong at Toadstool Castle
- Tropical Island: Defeat Donkey Kong at Tropical Island
- Lava Dome: Defeat Donkey Kong at Lava Dome
Get the indicated number of medals for the corresponding minis to appear on the title screen with different music:
- Toad: Get Bronze medals on all 80 levels
- Princess: Get Silver medals on all 80 levels
- Donkey Kong: Get Gold medals on all 80 levels
- Princess: Get Silver medals on all 80 levels
Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding movie:
- Ending: Defeat the final Boss on the roof.
- Musical: Defeat Hidden Boss 2 (B2) in the basement.
Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding picture(s):
- Pictures 1 and 2: Defeat DK on Floor 1.
- Pictures 3 and 4: Defeat DK on Floor 2.
- Pictures 5 and 6: Defeat DK on Floor 3.
- Pictures 7 and 8: Defeat DK on Floor 4.
- Pictures 9 and 10: Defeat DK on Floor 5.
