Pictochat is not a game exactly, but rather a messaging tool that shows off the wireless Bluetooth technology within the system itself. Players can use the stylus to type messages, draw pictures and transmit either to friends. If the Pictochat software has other uses, I'm not aware of them. Nor am I aware if it will actually be available in color. I'm guessing negatory on that one.

If Pictochat doesn't come packaged already inside the DS hardware, then I'm nominating this piece of software to not only be the lamest thing I've ever heard of, but quite possibly the biggest rip off I've witnessed in my 37 years of living on this planet. If it comes standard with the DS, all is forgiven.

Drawing and writing with a stylus usually results in something that resembles the way contestants on Jeopardy write their name. Considering many of those people are near genius level and can't do it very well, what chance do we have? That's a rhetorical question. No need to answer it especially when I wouldn't hear you anyway.

If drawing crappy pictures and sending them to your friends is somehow even better than the internet, then Pictochat just might be the next best thing in your life. Personally I'm guessing all of the pictures will be of badly drawn boobs and all of the typed messages will be of the F sharp variety. I am referring to what the game journalist crowd will use it for. Not sure what normal people do with these types of things....
