Call of Duty: Black Ops
Call of Duty: Black Ops

Though the Modern Warfare sub-series seems to have had its swan song with Modern Warfare 2, the Call of Duty franchise looks to keep the modern- day setting with Black Ops. The story's campaign mode features several playable characters, and the multiplayer component features the same experience-driven progression we've seen in other Call of Duty games but with a few new rewards and a currency system known as "COD points."

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood sees the return of everyone's favorite assassin Ezio to his home city...only to find it being destroyed! The action then shifts to Rome where Ezio will try to take down the most powerful family in the city--and thereby avenge both his family's death and set the templars back once again. In addition to a powerful single-player campaign, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood features a fun multiplayer mode that challenges users to use stealth instead of big guns to take down the enemy.

Red Dead Redemption
Red Dead Redemption

Although the modern western may still be a work in progress as far as cinema is concerned, the western format seems to be nearly perfected in Red Dead Redemption. This title allows you to take up your saddle and ride through an open world full of story elements, side-quests, and of course, the occasional tumbleweed. The Undead Nightmare expansion adds even more fun to this expansive title with the inclusion of zombies into the mix.
