In an era of interplanetary colonization, 30 years after the events of Killzone 3, Killzone: Shadow Fall follows Lucas Kellan, a Shadow Marshal who must try to protect the delicate peace between two rival colonist factions: the Vektans and the Helghast. The Vektans and the Helghast have existed side by side for three decades, separated by an enormous security wall, but now as the tension mounts, Kellan must adapt with missions ranging from quiet infiltrations to all-out combat in order to keep everyone alive.
When a goblin army threatens to invade the Earth, mankind’s only hope is Knack; a three-foot-tall hero with a huge responsibility. Using mysterious ancient relics, Knack can transform his tiny figure into that of a powerful brute, or even a gigantic wrecking ball, but he must exercise caution: trying to harness the power of the relics could put the entire world at risk. With drop-in/drop-out cooperative play and stunning graphics, this game really is fun for everyone. It even has a cross-compatible mobile app, which allows you to unlock crystal relics and gadget parts, then transfer them to your PS4 system for use in the game.
In Contrast, you play as Dawn, a detective who can move in 3D or become a 2D silhouette, jumping between shadows. You can also control different light sources in the 3D world and create shadow paths to reach areas in the 2D world while following and protecting Didi. You meet Didi in a train station, and discover the secrets of her dysfunctional family. This unique and intriguing game grows increasingly complex, and will leave you marveling at its wonder and mystery.
Resogun, an action-packed shoot ‘em up game, is as challenging as it is fast paced. Your arsenal contains a laser gun, launch bombs, and an overdrive beam that slows and annihilates nearby enemies, but your firing is limited to only horizontal shots. You must skillfully destroy as many enemies as possible, as quickly as possible, all while trying to save the last remaining humans. Then, at the end of each of the five levels, you must defeat a boss. If racking up the highest score is your thing, you can keep replaying the missions to beat your own scores, or try to dethrone your friends. Or if competitive play isn’t your style, you can take advantage of the online only co-op mode, allowing you to coordinate and cover more ground while simultaneously saving more humans and gaining more rewards.
