Systems: PC, PS3, Xbox 360
Expected Release Date : Q4 2011

The Tomb Raider series has been rebooted once again in this prequel by Crystal Dynamics. The game hopes to update Lara Croft into a more modern video game hero by presenting the story of her transformation from a naive young archaeologist into the confident adventurer we know today.

As Lara begins the game marooned on an island with nothing but the clothes on her back, the game has a strong theme of survival as well as of tomb-raiding adventure. Tomb Raider will feature an updated version of the engine used in Tomb Raider Legend and Underworld, a more realistic damage system for Lara, and a new combat system allowing for free aim instead of lock-on combat. Max Payne 3

Systems: PC, PS3, Xbox 360
Expected Release Date : TBA 2011

Max Payne 3 puts the series in the hands of Rockstar Vancouver instead of former developer Remedy Entertainment, so series' fans can expect some changes for Max. He will be twelve years older and even more cynical and world-weary in this game. Max is out of New York and now living in São Paulo, Brazil. While working as private security for a wealthy family, Max is double-crossed and sets out looking for answers.

Max Payne 3 will be leaving the film noir look behind, replacing it with the colourful yet harsh tropical setting. Most of the basic gameplay systems remain, like "bullet time" slow-motion manoeuvres, and Max's trademark dual-wielding gunplay style. Its release has been delayed several times, however, so gamers may be waiting a while longer before getting their hands on this game. Look here to read our full preview.
