2009's Need for Speed was definitely the sleeper hit of the year, and is credited with putting the Need for Speed franchise back on track with simulation-style racing that was surprisingly deep. This year's follow-up sees the franchise returning to the sim series after a year off with 130 cars, 100 tracks, and plenty of new modes including an "elite handling" mode that will push the envelope when it comes to realistic driving.

MLB 11: The Show is going to feature more of the same action-arcade baseball gameplay that the franchise is known for, but this entry will have some new tweaks that fans will be sure to lap up. Chief among these is a revamped control scheme that utilizes either the analog stick or the PlayStation Move peripheral for a more casual and arcade-feeling experience. The game's pitching engine has also been re-worked to include a "guess pitch" option players can use in either single or multiplayer modes.

The game will also feature new multiplayer modes that include a more robust local offering and new online co-op and competitive modes. Re-vamped visuals and persistent 3D visuals throughout all of the game's different modes are several other new features.
