Expected Release Date : TBA 2011

Age of Empires Online takes the formula of the wildly popular Age of Empire series and adds a bit of new material to keep it fresh. While the standard RTS elements remain intact, expect some crossovers from the MMO genre. You will get a capitol city that you will grow and expand, and things are constantly happening in this city, even while you are logged out. There will even be quests to help you gain additional skills and resources.

Those who expect the traditional Age of Empires look will be surprised to find that this iteration has a more cartoony visual style. This toned-down style may be a little hard to get used to, but it actually works pretty well once you see it in action. Age of Empires Online requires an internet connection as there will be no offline mode.

Minecraft, the open-world game of building and survival, has already sold over a million copies in its alpha and beta forms. The concept is simple: start out in a randomly generated world with absolutely nothing, gather some resources, and try to hide from the monsters that come out at night.

Its incredibly addictive gameplay and quaint, blocky graphics will suck you deep into the world it generates. Expect to lose track of time for five-or-six-hour stretches while you scavenge and build in a world that sprawls endlessly before you. Game creator Notch expects the game to officially release in late 2011.
