Best Sound Winner 2014

I, like many of you, am a huge Game of Thrones fan. So when I heard Peter Dinklage would be doing voice over work for Destiny, I was pretty stoked. Then I, like many of you, had my balloon quickly burst by the god-awful line readings he delivered. Thankfully the rest of the audio in Destiny is amazing! Everything from the sound design to the score screams immersion from the moment you slip your headphones on and tune out the rest of the world.

Far Cry 4

I’ve never ventured to the mountains Nepal or spent time in an indigenous village. But I imagine if I did, it would sound a hell of a lot like what you’d find in Far Cry 4. The world has been crafted in a way that is beautiful not just technically, but from an auditory standpoint as well. If you’ve ever wondered what a jungle cat’s roar sounds like when mixed with the blast of an exploding car while you're riding atop an elephant…wonder no longer! Games can answer life’s little mysteries sometimes.
