If Injustice: Gods Among Us was a strong showing for NetherRealm, Injustice 2 is an unstoppable powerhouse of a fighting game. The diverse cast will please all but the most obsessive of DC fans, the story mode actually feels like an important part of the game, and then there’s the fighting. Oh boy, does the fighting ever feel good. Whether you’re playing on console or PC, using a fightstick or controller, or even if you’re a complete fighting game neophyte, Injustice 2 is definitely worth a look.

In a genre dominated by familiar names and faces, ARMS was a huge risk from Nintendo that seemed to pay off in spades. Despite not being the most critically-acclaimed title of the year by any stretch, ARMS showed that sometimes, it’s not about being the most polished experience on the market; it’s about being creative and having fun. Here’s hoping that Nintendo makes ARMS one of their regular series, because it seems like one that has only shown a fraction of what it’s capable of.
