Basically every mainline Persona game has been a huge event, and Persona 5 is no different. Perhaps the greatest testament to its quality is the fact that, even after hundreds of hours and multiple playthroughs, it’s still beloved by fans and critics alike. Simply put, the game oozes style, be it in its music, characters, or even UI design, turning what was already a phenomenal JRPG into an absolute standout for 2017.

NieR: Automata is one of those rare games that arguably gets better the more times you play it. Featuring a multi-layered storyline that gradually unfolds into an unsettling tragedy, NieR: Automata’s narrative is able to get you invested in a way that few games can.
