We haven't seen a tie for best game for a couple of years (We used to hold the Annual Hoagy Awards on Platinum). Both winners did the Xbox system proud and proved that when skilled developers work their magic, this aging system still has a lot of juice left in it. Gamers who didn't have the PC horsepower to experience Half-Life 2 were able to walk a few miles in Mr. Freeman's shoes thanks to the Xbox and platform action fans were able to go the distance with Team Ninja's incredible (and incredibly difficult) 2005 remix of their earlier blockbuster hit.
