Yeah, we get it. It's cool not to be "into" Mario
these days, but you know what's even cooler than that? Playing
the New Super Mario Bros! Take that you emo-listening, teenage-angst-suffering
acne-factories! We don't care what you say, playing a new-fangled
Super Mario side-scroller that's a lot like the one from 20
years ago is way more fun than having your mom knit you an "A
for Anarchy" winter hat so your precious ears don't get
frostbitten. |

After training my brain for minutes a day for the last few
months I have come to the conclusion that since playing video
games decreases brain activity on the whole, using said device
to increase brain activity is clearly illogical, and the desired
effect can only negate itself due to the medium utilized.
But it's hella fun trying to teached yerself ta get un-dumbified!

After such happy, heart-warming titles like Harmony of Dissonence
and Aria of Sorrow, the Castlevania series takes a plunge into
despair with Portait of Ruin...which put a big 'ol smile on
our faces, just because it was so dang good! Not sure where
the "hillbilly" writing voice is coming from, but
I'm hoping it stops before I get to the Metroid Prime: Hunters
write up, cuz we know Samus ain't got a shotgun in the back
of her spaceship window. No siree. It's a dad-gummed plasma
rifle. |

We originally thought making Metroid a FPS was a bad idea,
but we loved it on the Cube. Then we thought making Metroid
Prime: Hunters a FPS on the DS and making people play with
the stylus, was a bad idea, but once again, our instincts
were sadly incorrect. All of the action and exploration has
been retained in Hunters and DS owners are well-advised to
lock and load.
