The Ghost Recon franchise was barely recognizable when we
compared G.R.A.W. against the original Ghost Recon, a solid
and well-respected game in its day. Intense shooting action
set within the confines of Mexico City made for many tense
and exciting moments. With GR.A.W. 2 on the way in 2007, this
franchise is getting much better with age.

Oblivion is the Burger King of RPG's thanks to it's "have
it your way" style of gameplay. Unlike Fable, Oblivion
lived up to its enormous amount of hype and was an instant
success story when it was released in the spring of 2006.
If you've played it, you'll most likely agree that Oblivion
is definitely one of those games that comes around once in
a blue moon. If you haven't played it, what's the hold up?

Why do the dead always want to hang out at shopping malls? I
mean, what's the attraction? Perhaps they're just wanting to
apply at EB or GameStop and if you've ever shopped there you'd
know that hiring a few zombies could only improve their customer
service. Capcom's Dead Rising was a George Romero movie come
to life and although the 72 hour time-limit was a tad annoying,
the gameplay was all that and a body bag of zombie chips. |

Unless you just happen to be developer CliffyB, it's got to
suck knowing that the game you developed just ain't that great
when compared to Gears of War. None of us could believe the
jaw-dropping visuals when we saw it for the first time and when
we got our sweaty, Doritos-stained chubby digits on the final
copy, we were in action/shooter heaven cuz it plays as great
as it looks. |

We all recognize that Saints Row wouldn't exist without the
GTA series, that's a given. But after countless "me too"
free-roam sandbox copycats, it was sure nice to play a game
that actually evolved the genre rather than just suckled at
its creative tea - er, nevermind. Saints Row gives you some
real freedom and you can bust a cap in someone online. Oh and
it's in high res with a smooth silky framerate. No turning "trails
off" in this game. |
