Grand Theft Auto IV is the latest in Rockstar's most popular series and undeniably a frontrunner for most anticipated game of the year. In typical Rockstar fashion, most of the game is still shrouded in mystery, but that isn't stopping gamers everywhere from placing this game at the top of their most wanted lists.
This time around, Rockstar apparently listened to its fans and addressed one of the biggest issues gamers had with the crime based game…the graphics. With a new and extremely impressive graphics engine, not to mention the new realistic gameplay, and the promise of one of the most immersive gameplay experiences available, Grand Theft Auto is one of the most highly desired games being released this holiday season and there's little question why the game placed first in the best Microsoft game category.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is Solid Snake's finale, the tying up of a lot of loose ends, and some of the best graphics I have seen on nearly any game out there.
The only reason that I would see not being excited about this game is if you are not a fan of the series to begin with. Even then, I would dare say that if you saw even a fraction of the game's many trailers that are out there, you would find yourself compelled to want this game no matter what system it will be available on.
Could MGS4 be the saving grace of the PS3? Definitely, and judging by the gameplay that was recently shown for MGS4 I feel even more confident that this is more than just a fan-boy's dream. With Snake's new moves, glorious new graphics, great new gameplay mechanics, and even the possibility of online gameplay to match some of the other competitors, I have no doubt that MGS4 is on many fans' must own lists. I just wish it was Spring 2008 already!

What could be more anticipated for Nintendo fans than a Mario game?
Super Mario Galaxy will have Mario fly up into the space to rescue his adored Princess Peach: "Let's-a-go!" Here is his new chance to prove to Princess Peach that he's the man! Nintendo is trying to bring a refreshing new type of gameplay that will break the mold, compared to previous Super Mario games; and no, he won't be wearing a water cannon in his back, like he did in Super Mario Sunshine. This time he won't use any fancy tools, but instead he'll try to be on style with a new wardrobe of suits that have different powers, just like it used to be in the good, old NES times. Now, I don't know if a bee suit will make him attractive enough, but it sure seems like an interesting garment that will keep him productive.
Mario will go from planetoid to planetoid looking for Peach and overcoming numerous handicaps. While this Mario game still remains a platformer, it will definitely bring a lot of innovation, starting with the Wii controls, used in several different ways in order to help Mario advance through the story. They even talked about cooperative play between two players, where one moves Mario around and takes care of the platforming obstacles and the other player helps by researching the environments and grabbing power-ups.
Will this game be as revolutionary as it sounds? We'll have the answer when it comes out, on November 12th of 2007!
