5. Are you satisfied with the control options offered or would you have liked the option of using motion controls?
In a fighting-style type game I am a fan of simplicity, and I feel that motion control would have made the controlling the game a little too complicated. Not to mention that with the frequency that I play this game, I would have gotten one wicked case of Wii Elbow!
- Amanda L. Kondolojy
This has been the spark of many a debate, but to be honest, motion sensing doesn't really work for this type of frantic gameplay. Leave those motion controls for games like Wii Sports or Excitetruck.
- Branden Barrett
I don't feel that this game is entirely fit for motion controls.
- Devin Finley
I think they did a great job incorporating the various control schemes, but more extensive motion sensitive controls should have been an option.
- Jonathan Marx
We've seen far too many games messed up by tacked-on motion controls. A series as venerable as Super Smash Bros. doesn't need any gimmicks to be fun, so I'm perfectly happy with the control offerings.
- Joseph Catalanotto
It's the Wii, so motion controls should definitely be one of the options. Like I said in the review, I would like to sword-fight a bit or grab an enemy and punch it in the face a bunch of times.
- Maria Montoro
Motion controls could have made the game significantly better if implemented properly. The capability to turn them on-and-off as an extra control option would have been a nice touch, but the existing control variations to choose from are certainly sufficient.
- Nathan Meunier
I think that they did a great job offering as many possibilities as possible. As for motion controls, Smash Bros. is just too insane for such an ambitious thought.
- Tom Kelly

6. Have you played or do you plan to play online?
Playing online is one of the features that I was most excited about, and I definitely play online, though not as much as with my family.
- Amanda L. Kondolojy
There is only one way to play online and that is to go out there and wipe out the competition. I'm more of a fan of the "no item" style gameplay, so I definitely would classify myself as a meta-game player rather than a casual one.
- Branden Barrett
I have!
- Devin Finley
Of course; I'll have to see where I stand in the world of SSB - pretty low on the totem pole I reckon.
- Jonathan Marx
Of course, though I've only played a few matches. Still, it's so much more fun to play against a real human being or three, even though you can't see them -- after all, the predictability of a real person is around zero when compared with predicting how a computer-controller Brawler will react.
- Joseph Catalanotto
I've played online against other people but not against a friend yet. The lack of headset makes this game less appealing than playing something through Xbox Live. My friends may be far away, but I want the whole experience!
- Maria Montoro
I currently don't have the capacity for online play, but I'd certainly play online if possible. The ability to play online is a good feature to include.
- Nathan Meunier
I play online a good amount, and I am more than pleased with how the game runs thus far.
