Tetris, in my opinion, is the uber-game. No matter what systems you have ever owned, at some point, Tetris has been available for that system. And now this classic puzzle game comes to WiiWare with online multiplayer and Mii support. There is also supposed to be special motion controls associated with this title, but it is still unknown exactly how this will work.
Developer: Two Tribes
Release Date: May 12, 2008
Toki Tori was originally a game for the Game Boy Color that a lot of people (including myself) may have missed out. The gameplay features a chicken/chocobo main character who goes on a big adventure. It is definitely a platform-style game and the early trailer shows levels that are a lot like the original Game Boy game with 3D upgrades, but I'm sure there will be some extra content for the WiiWare version.
Plättchen Twist 'n' Paint
Release Date: Q2 2008
This title was one of the first third party titles announced for WiiWare, and has been described as a puzzle-shooter. The idea is basically to line up a Plättchen with different colors to make patterns of four in a row. But this title's most interesting facet is not its gameplay, but its control. While it's becoming more of a normal occurrence to have multiple control options, Plättchen Twist 'n' Paint lets you use not only your Wii-Mote, classic controller, and GameCube Controller, but it also lets you use the DK Bongos peripheral. It's not quite known how this control option will be used, but for all those who still have the peripheral, chances are good that it will be pretty awesome!
Title: Alien Crush
Release Date: TBA
You may not remember it, but Alien Crush is a sci-fi pinball title that was originally available on the TurboGrafx-16. Thanks to WiiWare it is now getting an update almost 20 years later! The new Alien Crush will still feature the same pinball-based gameplay, but will now include online leader boards as well as other new unspecified features!
