NO-
this is not an early April's fools joke. EA is taking
their popular street series and adding FIFA to the
line up. While I really don't see how soccer will
fit into the street-style that made Basketball Street
a hit, I guess if anyone can do it, it's EA. I am
sort of wondering myself just how EA will take a sport
such as soccer and use this formula? It sounds from
the press and the early PR that EA is planning on
using the same format for this one just like basketball
and football. While those 2 sports worked, I just
think soccer may be taking the series down the wrong
path. Then again maybe that is why I write about the
games and do not actually create them? In any case
FIFA Street is coming.
I
know EA has made FIFA better known in the North America
market and that is a good thing. The real question
is will it be able to fit the street theme? Take a
look at the screen shots and you will notice that
EA has decided to go again with the wide range camera.
A step backwards but maybe for this game they had
no choice. While the game is about to hit shelves,
there really is not a whole lot of info to tell you
on this one. No online mode of course but they will
have hidden players and jerseys etc. Let's hope they
decide to change the music a bit to fit the sport.
It may wind up being a fun game. In any case check
out the screen shots and the press on this one it
hits stores any day now!

represent the true culture of street soccer. As the
first game to support dynamic 1-on-1 encounters, beating
your opponent will require skill, technique, and the
careful selection of specific moves. As a gamer you'll
take on the best and be required to earn their respect,
