GAMECUBE PREVIEW: TMNT MUTANT MELEE

IPreviously it hasn't made a lot of sense that the console TMNT games have only supported two players. If you're going to make a game based on the teamwork of 4 characters, you should spend the time and do it right. Mutant Melee from Konami looks to be a big step in the right direction for fans of Eastman/Laird's most famous creations. Cube and Xbox owners will be able to battle it out either alone or with their 3 best turtle loving pals by their side this Spring.

The last Turtles game was positively abysmal and we're hoping for your sake - the steadfast Turtle fan - that Konami addresses the issues that plagued the Battle Nexus sequel, namely the annoyingly difficult platforming prerequisites. From what we've seen so far, the game appears to be focusing more on the 4 player dynamic which should mean that any insane jumping mechanics are O-U-T but we've been totally wrong before.
