What game has a bunch of furious fun driving, great graphics, pretty good control, and Voltzwagon cars?!?!?!? San Francisco Rush!!! This game is a dream racing game. With no memory card needed only passwords and secret cars and tracks (check the codes section) this game has it all. Even a beginner has it's special car and extreme has it's low acceleration but fast and sleek car. There's even a Voltzwagon bug and van!!! And with different coloring schemes this game is great.
First the cars. For the speedy the extreme car is sleek, fast, looks good, but has bad acceleration. The beginner car has great acceleration but slow speed and look cool but clunky. The middle is half and half. However, the secret cars looks good, races good, and helps the "secret" track. Some secret cars are earned by racing other's by collecting.........
Collecting what you might say? Well, in this game in every level are keys. And if you find all the keys you can get your secret car. However, that is not always easy. Some keys are hard to get or easy to miss and others are in concealed shortcuts. The no time limit code helps a lot in finding the keys.
Is there multiplayer? You bet!!! Unlike most racing games there's no battle mode. However, there is a fun and challenging tag mode. There you can play tag with cars. Player two is "it". When you ram or touch the other car it is tagged people. And the tagged is floated up and dropped slowly giving other person a lead.Is this game fun? You bet even though it isn't all star quality for now it's one of the best racers on the N64. Until Cruis'n'world is out in the good ol' USA this will do. It's a must rent and a maybe buy. But you gotta try to know!
