Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "config.ini" file in the game folder. Locate the "variables" section in the file and add the following new lines:
- g_default_language english
- g_force_language english
- g_developer 1
- sv_cheats 1
- g_startupplaylist ()
- g_force_language english
Locate the "key bindings" section in the file and add the following new line:
- bindc+DIK_GRAVE(console_showhide)
While playing the game, press ~ to display the console window. Type "sv_cheats 1" to activate cheat mode. Then, enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function:

| Set total panel energy in Developer mode | emotion_ctrl s e 100 |
| Save game | save [filename] |
| Load game | load [filename] |
| Commit suicide | suicide |
| Quit game | exit |
Note: Flight mode must be enabled for this code to work.
