Frequently Asked Questions -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Introduction Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, which I'll now refer to as CSGO, is the fourth iteration of the Counter-Strike "series", coming after 1.6, Condition Zero, and Source. All of these games are essentially the same, with progressively updated graphics and physics, and a few minor changes here and there. The basic premise of Counter-Strike is this: Two teams, the terrorists and counter-terrorists (also called "T" and "CT"), must either complete an objective or defend an objective, depending on the map, while the other team does the opposite. Rounds are around two minutes long, and if you die, you will respawn at the start of the next round. That's all there is to it. So how is CSGO different from the other Counter-Strikes? Here are some of its new features: -Official Gun Game mode (dubbed Arms Race) with maps -Demolition mode (similar to Arms Race) with maps -Tutorial/Obstacle course -Matchmaking, stat tracking, and Elo ranking (5v5 matchmaking!) -New weapons and tweaked weapon balance -New hitboxes and hit registry There are other changes, but to a Source player contemplating switching to CSGO, these are some of the things that might interest you. It was the 5v5 matchmaking that won me over, since it's so hard to get a good 5v5 game on Source. As for the graphics, I still prefer 1.6 and Source. CSGO has a lot of unremovable post-processing filters, as well as gritty style reminiscent of the Call of Duty series. It's still built on the Source engine of course, so it runs great, even on older machines. BOTTOM LINE: If you're an old player just scroll down to the weapons section to see what's OP now, since that's probably what you came here for. Newcomers to Counter-Strike: congratulations on your purchase, nd go on the next section for useful tips to help you get started. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Tips for beginners First of all, I recommend playing CLASSIC COMPETITIVE above everything else because this is the way the game was meant to be played - the maps were designed for 5v5 - and it will teach you the most about strategies and economy. However, if you just want to focus on shooting with all the guns, go ahead and play Arms Race or Demolition. With that said, here are some things I wish I knew when I first started playing CS. I've listed the tips in the order of importance (in my opinion). 1. YOUR BULLETS WILL NOT ALWAYS GO WHERE YOUR CROSSHAIRS ARE POINTING -I think this is the number one reason for Counter-Strike's learning curve: the recoil system. When you hold down your trigger to shoot an automatic weapon continuously (henceforth referred to as spraying), only the first few bullets (amount depending on weapon) will hit their mark. This is why it can seem like you empty your entire magazine into someone and he doesn't die, but turns around and kills you in one shot. Spraying only works at close range in CSGO, and even then, you have to control it. Each weapon has different recoil and spread (horizontal recoil) so the best way to practice is to make an empty game and shoot a wall with different weapons. Notice where the bullet holes end up, and adjust your spray accordingly. At medium to long range, you'll find that burst fire or single shots are much more effective. Some SMGs can get away with spraying at medium range, but you'll generally want to burst 2-4 shots, depending on the gun. 2. YOU CAN'T SHOOT WHILE MOVING -That's right, when you run, or even walk, your aim will be thrown off considerably. Unless you are charging someone point-blank, always stop before shooting. In fact, there is even a small delay as you slow down before stopping, so you can move in the opposite direction for a fraction of a second to cancel that. For example, you want to strafe right to shoot a baddie around a corner, so you should press D, and when you want to stop, tap A slightly before letting go of D. However, you SHOULD ALMOST ALWAYS BE MOVING! Only stop to shoot. 3. HAVE MAP AWARENESS -In CSGO, your reflexes and aiming won't mean squat if you are always caught off-guard or flanked from behind. Constantly glance at your radar to know where your teammates and spotted enemies are. Never rush a bombsite or chokepoint unless you are 100% positive there are no enemies present, or you or a teammate has used a flash or smoke. Always be cautious and try to anticipate enemies coming around the corner, and never let your guard down. Remember, if you die, you're done for the round, so don't throw your life away! 4. USE GRENADES WISELY -This isn't a Star Fox reference, I'm serious. It's a good idea to buy grenades each round if you have the money, but know what they do and put them to good use. Flashes and smokes are the most valuable, so buy one of them if you're low on cash. Flash around corners and rush for easy kills, flash over a wall and go the other way to confuse opponents, or toss a flash in the air to blind everyone in the area. Make use of them though, don't throw a flash and sit around waiting for the effects to wear off. Smoke grenades let you control the map. Smoke a viewpoint to hide your team's movement, smoke your bomb to disorient defusers, or smoke a corridor to flush out enemies. Incindiaries are great for blocking off chokepoints, and frag grenades are good for finishing low enemies off or softening them up before a firefight. I have not found the decoys to be very useful, so stay away from them. 5. GO FOR HEADSHOTS -That's right, this is the FIFTH most important tip for new players; all of the above matters more. Once you've mastered the basics of shooting and moving, then start practicing consistent headshots. Try to make your FIRST shot on opponents a headshot every time, and you will win fire fights. If the enemy is not wearing a helmet, one headshot will kill with most weapons. But remember how much HP the enemy has. If you've already landed one headshot, there's no need for another, go for easier body shots (unless you're usinga weaker pistol). Important weapons to headshot with are the AK47, Deagle, and Scout, since these will always kill with one headshot. As for the AWP, don't bother - a body shot kills! 6. STICK WITH YOUR TEAM -Until you've mastered all the maps and strategies, I would highly recommend listening to your team's calls (if there are any) and staying in a group of at least 2. If someone wants to rush, don't let him die alone, use grenades as needed and follow him! Working as a team will highly improve your chance of winning. However, when a plan begins to go sour, it's time to abandon it. If your team seems unsure what to do, go ahead and command them with your mic - as you learn from experience, you'll find yourself being the leader more and more often - most people would rather follow than lead. 7. GO FOR THE OBJECTIVE -Again, this may be surprisingly low on the list, but you don't have to go plant the bomb or rescue the hostages 100% of the time. In fact, most of the games in Counter-Strike are won through kills, not objectives. It might even be downright dangerous and stupid to go for objectives at the wrong time. There are, however, several good times to go for the objective: -Your team cleared the enemies guarding it -Rushing at the beginning of the round -You're sure the enemies are somewhere else -You think you can sneak it (smokes work well) -Time is running out The last one is particularly important: if you're on Terrorists on a defusal map or Counter-Terrorist on a hostage map, you will lose if time runs out and the objecive hasn't been completed. 8. OBSERVE GOOD PLAYERS WHEN DEAD -Watching is the best way to learn mechanics in CSGO, not reading. But you don't need to go watch videos on Youtube, just use your dead time wisely! If there's a particular player in your game that's tearing stuff up, watch him and see what he's doing differently from you. That's all I have for now. Keep these tips in mind and you'll find yourself getting better at this game very quickly. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Weapons I'm not going to list the prices or statistics of the guns, you can figure that out yourself in-game. I'm just going to explain the strengths and weaknesses of each weapon, tips on how to use it, and when, if ever, the gun is worth buying. I will also give each gun a rating out of 5 based on all of these factors. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.1 Pistols: Pistols are more important in CS than in other games because of the pistol round - the first round in a game, where players can't afford anything bigger. Learning to use pistols well will help you gain advantages, but also recover from losses because of their low price. If you're trying to play safe, grab your favorite pistol, a grenade, and armor. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -Glock-18: The terrorists' starting pistol. Has a burst-fire on right-click, but I prefer the default single shot. Go for headshots: the Glock has very low damage output, but is accurate even when you shoot repeatedly, unlike some other pistols. Don't underestimate it - you can win pistol rounds as a terrorist with a good flash and a Glock. As a CT: never buy. RATING: 2/5 -P2000 [CT only]: The new starting pistol for counter-terrorists. It has a balance of accuracy, damage, and clip size, and it is easily the superior starting weapon. As a CT, you can probably get away without buying any other pistol. There is no situation where you would buy this gun, for obvious reasons. RATING: 3/5 -P250: A beefed up P2000. It has a fantastic fire rate if you can click fast, and slightly more damage and magazine capacity. This is one of the best all-around standard pistols. RATING: 4/5 -Five-Seven: This gun combines the accuracy and clip size of the Glock with the damage of the P2000. However, you can buy the dualies for only $50 more, so the Five-Seven is never really worth a purchase. RATING: 2/5 -Tec-9 [T only]: A newcomer in CSGO. The $400 price, the huge clip size, and the decent damage make this a great purchase. Purchase with grenades in the pistol round for a big advantage. Poor accuracy and fire rate, however. RATING: 4/5 -Dual Berettas: Now $100 cheaper, they seem to be a favorite among many players. They shoot fast, look cool, and have a naturally large clip size. I tend not to use these because of the great alternatives, but they are great for any situation. Again, the faster you click, the faster you shoot. RATING: 4/5 -Deagle: This bad boy has the highest damage of all the pistols, but the smallest clip size, the worst "accuracy", and a terrible fire rate. You need to wait after each shot for the accuracy to stabilize. However, the damage makes up for all its glaring weaknesses. I do not recommend this gun to new players because it costs a lot and is hard to use, but make sure you learn how to Deagle at some point in time. It is not as overpowered as it was in previous games, but is still arguably the best pistol. RATING: 5/5 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.2 SMGs: SMGs are niche weapons in CSGO. They don't have the power of rifles, and the advantage they posess is purely economical. They cost around half the price of rifles, and they give you a much higher cash kill reward than other guns. The best times to buy SMGs are when you are trying to catch up, when you won the pistol round and want to pull your advantage further, or when you want to rush. SMGs are also easier to spray with, but don't buy them for that reason. When you're ahead in cash, buy rifles, and learn how to use them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -MAC-10 [T only]: This little popcorn-popper is only good for one thing: spraying at point-blank range. It is a decent weapon for a super rush, since it costs next to nothing and your enemies aren't going to pick it up. Control its spread, since it goes all over the place, and go for headshots. RATING: 2/5 -MP9 [CT only]: See above. The MP9 is basically the CT equivalent of the MAC-10. RATING: 2/5 -MP7: The new go-to SMG. It basically replaced the popular MP5 from previous CS games. It has decent damage and sprays well even at medium range. If you're unsure about what to buy, you can't go wrong with the MP7. There's nothing more to say: this is probably the only SMG I will ever buy. RATING: 4/5 -UMP: The UMP is pretty weird, and has generally been considered garbage in the CS games. It has a very slow rate of fire for an SMG, and a smaller magazine as well. It does, however, have the best long-range burst accuracy of the SMGs, but that doesn't make up for its weaknesses. No point in buying this gun, ever. RATING: 1/5 -PP-Bizon: Don't let its cool looks and huge clip size fool you. This gun is crap. It does less damage than even the MAC-10 and MP9, and is pretty much equivalent to them in other aspects (besides the capacity). Never buy. RATING: 1/5 -P90: Generally considered a "noob" weapon, and very expensive for an SMG, but don't let that stop you from buying it. It has good damage, good spread, and a large magazine capacity. I see new playres buying this a lot since they don't know how to use rifles: don't fall in to that trap. However, it does have the cash reward advantage of an SMG, so feel free to buy it when appropriate. RATING: 3/5 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.3 Rifles: The real meat and bones of CS. Your ability to use these guns, to a large extent, determine your skill at the game. Buy them, pick them up, and master them. If you can get a rifle in the second round, you have a huge advantage - play safe and don't let your opponents snatch it away. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -Galil [T only]: A very underrated weapon. It has the price of an SMG and the power of a rifle. Its 3-4 burst is fantastic at mid-long range, and it packs quite a punch as well. The biggest disadvantage is its weight: you will run slowly with this equipped. As a T with $2000, I would get this gun. RATING: 4/5 -FAMAS [CT only]: Again, a very heavy weapon. It has a burst fire mode on right-click which is fantastic for long range. Use automatic at close range, though. I would only buy this if a long range weapon is required and I'm short on cash/don't feeling like Scouting. In most cases I would grab the MP7 over this. RATING: 3/5 -AK-47 [T only]: Hands-down, the best assault rifle, and overall best automatic weapon in the game. It has the highest damage of them and a headshot with the AK will always kill. Its first two shots are deadly accurate, so always fire 2-burst. At medium range I recommend either bursting or controlled spraying depending on the distance. The AK probably has the worst spray of any gun, so don't be surprised if you lose fights to other rifles at close range despite your damage advantage. Buy it when you can afford it, and always go for headshots. RATING: 5/5 -M4 [CT only]: Although not as versatile as it was in previous games, the M4 is still a solid purchase for CTs. I have tried all of the other assault rifles and the M4 still wins. It has has the tightest and most easily controlled spray, and is very lightweight. At long range, a 2-3 fire burst works great. Shoot for the neck/upper chest and try to land all your shots. Feel free to spray at close-mid range, but control it- it still has much more recoil than an SMG. Buy it when you need an assault rifle as a Ct, because there aren't many other choices. RATING: 4/5 -SSG 08: Previously known as the Scout, this lightweight sniper seems to have been nerfed a little. It's no longer lighter than the knife, but it's still the lightest rifle there is. Use this to your advantage: pop out around a corner, get a shot in, and go back behind cover before they have time to react. One headshot will kill, but it's fine to go for bodyshots when using this method because you will be able to get more shots off, even if the opponent is using an assault rifle. It does take a little practice to get the hang of, so only buy it if you feel comfortable with it. RATING: 3/5 -SG 553 [T only]: Another noob trap. It costs more than the AK but has less damage and comparable spray and weight. The thing you are basically paying for here is the zoom-in function. Sure, it makes it easier to shoot at long range, but you give up reaction time and quick burst capability when zoomed in. Don't buy. RATING: 2/5 -AUG [CT only]: See above. RATING: 2/5 -GSG SG [T only]: This sniper is basically a semiautomatic Scout - you don't need to cock the rifle between each shot. However, it is also much heavier and much more expensive. For the price, the AWP is a much better purchase. RATING: 2/5 -SCAR-20 [CT only]: See above. RATING: 2/5 -AWP: This is a very important gun, and it's necessary to have at least one on your team as the game goes on. No other weapon has as much stopping power or game control. Any shot above the waist with the AWP is a guaranteed kill. Because of its weight and price, it's best used defensively, and you definitely don't want to die with an AWP on you. That's a game throw. some tips on using it: the second level of zoom is usually not worth it, and it's faster to switch weapons and back quickly than wait for the cocking animation (press Q twice). You can't no-scope farther than point- blank unless you're lucky, but you can press right-click and left-click nearly simultaneously for a "quicksnipe". When to buy it: that's a tricky question, and the answer comes with experience, so practice with the AWP as much as you can. RATING: 4/5 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.4 Heavy: This category is a combination of shotguns and machine guns. These weapons aren't as versatile as SMGs or assault rifles, but are very fun to use. In a serious game, however, you won't see much of these. That said, they do have their uses and can be compeltely game changing in the right situations. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -Nova: The basic pump-action shotgun. Like SMGs, all shotguns have a higher cash kill reward. Shotguns do variable damage depending on how far your target is, but I find that the Nova performs the best in accuracy (it's also less affected by movement). If you have fast twitch aiming, you can win a lot of corridor fights with the Nova and other shotguns. RATING: 3/5 -XM1014: Besides its automatic fire, this auto-shotty is very similar to the Nova. It doesn't take much skill to get kills with it, but watch out, you might run out of ammo very quickly. I don't think the automatic fire is worth the $1000 over the Nova, since one or two shots kill anyway. RATING: 2/5 -Sawed-Off [T only]: Another new introduction in CSGO, the sawed-off is lighter and reloads a bit quicker than the Nova, but is much less accurate. At very close ranges, however, its damage is even higher than the Nova's. RATING: 3/5 -MAG-7 [CT only]: This gun is pretty much a beefed up version of the Sawed-off, but it has a distinct disadvantage: it cannot fire while reloading like other shotguns can. RATING: 3/5 -M249: A huge gun with a 100-round magazine. Considering its steep price, you will probably only buy this for two reasons: you want to do some continuously firing cheese tactic, or you are so far ahead that you just want to fool around. A great troll weapon. RATING: 2/5 -Negev: A bigger and badder version of the above. RATING: 2/5 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Equipment ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.1 Grenades: A well-placed grenade can be the difference between a failed assault and a great one, so always have grenades handy if possible. Unless you're saving up for something, buy some grenades with any leftover cash at the start of the round. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -HE Grenade: These frag grenades don't do quite the same amount of damage that they do in other games - an armored target will take about 30 damage even if they are sitting on top of a grenade going off. Keep that in mind and don't expect to get kills by spamming grenades. Save them for guaranteed kills, like when an enemy who took some hits is going behind cover to reload. Likewise, if you know a fight is about to happen, toss one along with a flash to do some initial damage. There is one more cool trick that HE grenades are capable of: they provide sight for a brief second in a cloud of smoke. In some situations, that can be very important, so don't hesitate to waste it. Remember, you will only have a brief moment to see through the smoke. -Flashbang: An essential tool to make plays in Counter-Strike. You should always carry at least one (that's right, you can buy two!). Remember, the flashbang has to be in your field of vision when it goes off in order to affect you, so it's possible to quickly do a 180 when you know a flashbang is about to pop and avoid the blind. The deafening effect is only based on your distance from the flashbang. When you throw one, make sure it won't blind you or your teammates, so corners are obviously the best place to flash. Use the bounce to your advantage, and you can get a flash to go off in tricky places you wouldn't have thought possible. You should always know what you want your flash to do, and follow through with your motives. If you want your opponents blinded so they can't shoot back, go kill them quickly when you know the effect is active. If you want to fake them out, toss the flash and run a different way. Don't just use the flash and stay still - unless you're stalling for time, which is a great tactic. -Smoke Grenade: Creates a large cloud of smoke that lasts for about 10-15 seconds. Hides everything except muzzle flash and grenade explosions. Smokes are best used for prolonged assaults/defenses or for covering your tracks. I find that most players don't know how to use smokes correctly, and often hinder themselves as much as their opponents. The one thing to remember is that the players close to the smoke cloud can't see enemies coming, but also are not easy targets because the smoke covers them. If you know an enemy is coming, as well as how many and from which direction, it's not a bad idea to throw down a smoke on yourselves. Likewise, if some enemies are bunched up and defending a point, you can smoke them and easily flank them because of their restricted vision. -Incindiary Grenade/Molotov Cocktail: Another new toy in CSGO, these guys create an area of flames over the ground which damage enemies standing on it over time. Because they have a delay and do little damage each tick, they are poor for attacking, but fantastic for simply closing off a route. They can still be used for attack, but only when your opponents have to expose themselves in order to leave the flames. Remember, people can still quickly run over them, so don't assume a certain path is completely blocked off when you use an incindiary. -Decoy Grenade: Imitates gunfire noises to confuse enemies. They sound pretty convincing, but most players know by know when they're hearing one; their pattern is pretty noticable. That said, there a few cool tricks you can do with these. They are best when coupled with a different grenade, like a flash or smoke, to completely confuse enemies. You can also randomly chuck them into paths you aren't going in, to keep enemies wary. Overall, though, I don't really consider decoys worth a purchase in most cases. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.2 Gear: Along with guns and grenades players can purchase some gear to help them. Not much more to say. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -Kevlar/helmet: Often the difference between life or death, the helmet will prevent you from dying in one headshot from many weapons. It also stops the 'shake' effect that occurs when you are shot in the head, which can be very disorienting, so the helmet is very useful in winning fights. The kevlar blocks some damage as well, making you a bit tankier. You can choose to buy the kevlar alone for $650 or with the helmet for $1000. If you could buy the helmet by itself, I would, but unfortunately you have to pay full price for it. You often have to make a choice between armor or weaponry, but a good gun is usually more important. The helmet is more useful for terrorists because it stops the M4 from killing in one headshot, but it won't stop the AK when a CT buys it. -Defusal kit: Halves the time it takes to defuse a bomb. I think at least three people on CT should buy it, keeping in mind that it can be picked up off of dead bodies. Kits are insanely useful to win games, because so many bomb fights come down to the last second. The defuser should always be holding one. Not only does it allow for a wider margin on standard defuses, the kit also lets you pull off ninja defuses without your enemies knowing, often with smoke. -Zeus x27: A weird item that isn't actually available in Classic Competitive. It's basically the Golden Gun from the 007 games: it has one shot that instantly kills. It's pretty cool - you can switch to it in firefights and get free kills. The price is a bit steep, but it's a fun cheese weapon. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5. Maps In this section I will briefly describe the map, then list the locations and their names (you need to know these in order to communicate). I will also list some of the popular strategies for each side. Keep in mind: T-spawn is the area where terrorists spawn, and likewise for CT-spawn. I will abbreviate the bombsites as A and B. -------------------------------------------------------------------- 5.1 de_dust: The classic map which was phased out long ago with the release of dust2, dust has been changed a bit in CSGO. Previously the CT had a huge advantage due to the limited exits for T and the fact that CT could get there first. Now, an added pathway/stairwell from underpass allows terrorists to cover more spots. Locations: -Hallway: The big indoor room that connects T-spawn to A. It has four exits, one into T-spawn, one into A, one into mid, and one into the walkway. -Underpass: The large path under the walkway that connects T-spawn to the walkway and mid. -Middle: The stretch of area that connects A, B, Underpass, and the walkway. -Double doors: the doors that connect mid to A. Terrorist strategies: -Bombsite A can be easily rushed through the hallway. Use flashes and SMGs to quickly bypass the opening to middle and plant the bomb. -Do not get trapped in hallway wasting time. If you don't think you can win a firefight there, leave and go through underpass. -Use the new stairwell to your advantage. You are hidden from view, so you can easily cover the entrance into the walkway, and stop any CTs going into the hallway with that path. -B is an unpopular site. CTs will almost always check A first, so use this to your advantage. Counter-Terrorist strategies: -You can reach A around the same time as terrorists. Use the small entrance near double doors to intercept any rushers. Use tons of grenades in the hallway. If you can get there first and pin terrorists to the boxes, you can stall indefinitely and win. -You can use the balcony to cover the underpass, stairwell, and the hallway exit. Use the rocks as cover. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 5.2 de_dust2: The most popular map in the game. It is well-balanced and has a variety of areas. Locations: -Long (or Long A): The terrorists' path to A that goes through the corridors on the right of T-spawn and along the long stretch of dust path. -Pit: The downward slope near Long. -Short (or Short A, or Cat): The terrorists' path to A that goes on the catwalk near middle. -Double doors: The large set of doors next to the catwalk. connects CT-spawn to middle. Allows T and CT see and shoot at each other at the very start of the round. -Middle: The stretch of area connecting T-spawn, double doors, and catwalk. -B-tunnels (or B-tun): The indoor area that connects T-spawn to B and middle. Terrorist strategies: -Use double doors to scout and count how many enemies are going to B. If you don't see anyone through double doors, it means B is left unprotected! -Short A is fast but a bit more risky because of double doors. Long A may either be guarded from pit or A itself. Both routes require a flash. -B is easily rushable - CT will arrive there faster if they rush, however. Never walk in to B without a flash because there are many places for cover. Counter-Terrorist strategies: -Smoke double doors regardless if you are going to B to not let Ts know. -If there is a stall at long, go through short to easily flank the corridor. -Both long and short can be protected by staying at A. -The many boxes and stones in both bombsites can be used for cover. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- REST COMING SOON -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6. Tweaks and Commands: COMING SOON -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7. Frequently Asked Questions (MORE TO COME) Q: How much does this game cost? A: 15 USD. Q: Can I buy a physical copy? A: No, only digital copies are available. Q: Is there single-player? A: No, unless you count playing multiplayer maps with bots. Q: Will there be DLC? A: No, just patches. Q: Is there LAN? A: Yes. Q: Are there dedicated servers? A: Yes, but they are not the only option. Q: Is there cross-platform play? A: Not for PC. Q: I keep crashing! A: Post specs and any error codes on Steam forums. Q: Can I run this game? A: The requirements are not very steep for a modern game. It runs on an improved Source engine, so if you can run TF2 and L4D2, this game will play fine. However, there are a few performance issues with specific hardware, so ask the Steam forums just in case. Q: Why aren't there iron sights? A: This is by choice - CS games never had iron sights and they would not work well with the flow of the game. The emphasis is on fast twitch shooting and recoil control, which would be completely thrown off by iron sights. Also, the maps are small enough so that you can see enemies clearly without zooming in. Q: Why do I keep missing? A: Read the Tips section. Q: Silencers? A: Nope. Q: How do I get more ELO? A: Win lots of Classic Competitive. ELO goes up slowly.
