Introduction ============================================================================== This is the complete FAQ/Walkthrough of the game. I will be explaining all aspects of the game from Controls to Boss Fights. The whole game itself is pretty straight forward, but some people may have troubles when it comes to saving Health Potions and finding the perfect weapons. I will try and make my guide as easy to follow as possible, so there wont be any hassle trying to find what location you are currently in. Untold Legends: The Warriors Code feature various campaign to choose from, each campaign featuring it's own missions and areas to complete. If you have played Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance before, you will definitely find this game to be extremely similar. During your battles you will collect armours and weapons, which you can either sell or put on for better protection bonuses. This game may not be the most popular, but you will find yourself playing for hours once you understand how the game works. ============================================================================== B. Contents ============================================================================== I've separated the walkthrough into two sections. The sections which have a letter beside them are to do with the Controls, the Basics, and how to use the interfaces of the game. The sections with numbers listed beside them are to do with the actual walkthrough of the game. o------------o | The Basics | o------------o A. Introduction B. Contents C. The Story D. Controls E. The Story ============================================================================== The following has been taken from the game manual. Eighteen years have passed since a powerful and bloodthirsty warlord invaded the peaceful city of Koryn Thal. Today, the realm is one of chaos and oppression as the warlord-turned-emperor's strange and horrific minions continue to slaughter and enslave its people. When members of a secret shapeshifter race, known as chagelings, suddenly begin to disappear from the city streets, suspicions of an insidious plot to exterminate this ancient people lead many of its members to flee the city walls for survival. While struggling to evade capture and death in the war-ravaged kingdom, a small band of changeling refugees stumble upon a carefully guarded secret that rekindles the hope that freedom and peace can be restored to the realm. Can these refugees-turned-heroes safeguard the only key to their survival of will it fall into the emperor's hand, dooming their race to extinction and their human cousins to endless oppression and strife? ============================================================================== D. But just for future reference, I'll add it. If you do not know how to control the main menu, read section D of this guide, or go to page 5 in your game manual. NEW GAME - Begin playing a new game. After selecting this, you will be taken to the character creation screen. For more information on this, see section F of this guide, or page 6 of your manual. LOAD GAME - Load a previously saved game. DLETE GAME - Delete a saved game. You cannot bring back a saved game after it has been deleted. EXTRAS - View cut scenes that you have unlocked during your adventures. CREDITS - Takes you to the list of Credits. ============================================================================== F. Creating your Character ============================================================================== If you are just creating your first character, this is the place to be. After selecting New Game on the main menu, you will be taken to a menu with a list of 5 different characters. Each character is a different type of class. Each class has unique bonuses and attributes which help you during battle. After you have selected your desired character, you must now enter it's name. You can use a total of 8 characters. TIP: During menu screens, such as this one, there is a small navigation bar at the bottom of the screen, which tells you what are the controls. Once you have entered a name. You must now create the skin colour of your character. There are 48 different skin tones to choose from. And if your not sure which one to choose, there is an option to randomize the colour. After you have chosen your desired skin tone, press accept. Now you must decide what Hair Style you want, and what colour you wish for it to be. There are over 4-6 different hair styles to choose from, depending on if you are a male or a female. Once again, you can alternatively select randomize to select a random hair colour. Once you are done with your character's style, you can now continue on to choosing his or her attributes. Press the Up and Down directional buttons to select an attribute. Press and hold the [] button to toggle the information for each attribute. Press the Left and Right directional buttons to raise the chosen attribute. At this moment, you have 10 attribute points to spend on whatever attribute category you wish to. It is a good thing to understand how attributes work very well, as they play a huge roll later in the game. After you have selected your attributes, you will be asked to choose which type of game you would like to play. Choosing Single Player will allow you to continue on a single player quest. Choosing Multiplayer Adhoc will result in connecting with other Sony PSP systems around you to play multiplayer with your friends right beside each other with no cables required. Multiplayer Infrastructure will connect with players from far distances. Multiplayer LAN will connect to other players in your area. This guide will be given to you in Single Player mode, and I will not be telling you to heal any other players and such as you would in Multiplayer modes. Note: You can change modes every time you load your game. After you have chosen which mode to play on, you are ready to begin playing! ============================================================================== G. In-Game Menus ============================================================================== The In-Game Menu is an interface where you can get information about your Mission Objectives, what you are wearing, your perks, your special abilities, and your attributes. Simply press Select to enter the In-Game Menu and press L and R to view the different menus. o----------------o | CHARACTER | o----------------o STATS - Here are all of your characters current attributes. The red bar at the top shows your current health, and the blue bar represents your current power. The scales indicate how much weight you are holding, and the coins represent your current amount of money you have. For more specific explanations, press and hold the [] button on the selected attribute. SPECIALS - View your character's special abilities. As your progress in the game you will slowly unlock more and more powerful specials. To assign a special ability, simply select the ability and press triangle. Now press the Up, Down, Left, or Right directional buttons. For example, if you assign the first special to the Up direction button, during the game, if you press the Up button, the special ability will be activated. Special abilities drain your power meter. (Blue Bar) PERKS - There are two parts to your perks. One, Transformation - As you kill enemies throughout the game, a small circular meter will begin to fill up. (located under the Power and Health bar) When this meter is full, you have the ability to transform into a deadly beast, which you can control to wreak havoc onto your enemies. Number Two, Runes. During your adventures, you can pick up rare runes which can enhance your attributes. o----------------o | JOURNAL | o----------------o QUEST - View your current quest objectives. Scroll throught your quest objectives with the directional buttons and press and hold [] to toggle the details. MAP - Check out the map(s) of your current Chapter. After you have explored an area in the Chapter, it will be unlocked. After it has been unlocked, you can warp to another location and warp back to the same place at any times. This comes in handy during the other chapters when you must warp to the Shops to refil your potions and weapons. BESTIARY - Here you can see all of your monster discoveries. Each monster will have a short Bio and an image. After you have killed a monster, that specific monster will appear in your Bestiary. The Bio can even sometimes give very helpful information on the weaknesses of certain monsters and sometimes it can tell you how they will to attack. o----------------o | INVENTORY | o----------------o WEAPONS - Here you can see all of your current weapons and projectiles you are carrying. The top row contains all of your melee weapons. The second row has all of your ranged weapons, and the thrid row holds all of your Ammo for your ranged weapons. Weapons with an 'E' beside them indicate that they area currently equipped. You can equip and unequip gear whenever you want, and you can even find out more info about them by holding the [] button. These details often include the weight of the item, the attack power, and how much it's worth. Different Classes approve with different weapons. So you may pick up a weapon from a dead body and you may or may not have the ability to use it. ARMOUR - This pretty much follows the basic guidelines of the weapons section. There are five different types of body armour. Head, Body, Arms, Legs, and Sheilds. As before, you can hold the [] button to toggle the information and you can press X to put your armour on or off whenever you want. Once again, Classes can only support different types of armour. For example, a mercanary cannot weild sheilds because they use two-handed weapons. TRINKETS - Here are all of your Items that you have collected during your questing. Some of these items include your potions, earrings, necklaces, rings, and rare gems. Every time you manage to find or buy yourself a ring, be sure to press and hold [] to toggle the details. Rings, Earrings, and Necklaces can sometimes hold amazing bonuses to help your character. ============================================================================== ============================================================================== |||| THE WALKTHROUGH |||| ============================================================================== ============================================================================== Before I go on let me explain a few things. I will not be telling you when you should use Health potions and power potions, that is your own responsibility. Secondly, I have marked each Chapter with a title that goes along the side of the page, in addition, I have marked all sub-missions in a small box. And finaly, I will not reccomend any ideas on which attribute to raise if you managed to gain a level. If you wish to use this walkthrough at it's full potential, follow the instructions very carefully, as each area is a massive maze just waiting to be explored. And one final thing, paragraphs with a box around them indicate that there is a boos fight. ============================================================================== 0. But it isn't as easy as it sounds. Strange creatures known as the Emperors forces await you... o================o |SEWER SAFEHOUSE | o================o You begin on a small Yellow Platform with a Question Mark icon to West. If she is low on health, you can use a health potion on her by standing beside her and pressing R. Head East to find another Brute on a yellow platform. Enjoy the cutscene. ============================================================================== 1. Chapter One ============================================================================== The Emperor's soldiers have followed you up the mountain, you must stop at nothing to escape to high ground... o================o | FRIGID TRAIL | o================o From now on, I will not be explaining what types of enemies you will encounter in each section, nor will I tell you when or where to find chests and boxes. I will simply state what types of enemies you will ecounter throughtout the whole level, and which way you must go. By now I'm sure you can figure most things out yourself. As you begin, you will be attack by Frost Troopers, Hammaraks, and Hounds. Tip: There are usually Chests and boxes located on the sides of the maps. Note that you can also break barrels and boxes, which may contain gold or items. Head East and you will be attacked by a pack of Villians guarding a Save Point. Continue onwards and you will encounter a new enemy - a red beast called the Gore Driller. Kill it and continue East. You will find yet another save point just before a two way path. If you go South, a message will appear saying that the passage is blocked... For now. Alternatively, continue along the East path. You will discover another save point just before a canyon of Lava. Head throught a stone Archway and cross a bridge leading across the canyon. More Brutes, Hounds, and Frost Troopers await you. After crossing the bridge you will find a huge wall of snow to the East. Press and hold [] to inspect the frozen entrance. After inspecting you will be attacked by the Emperor's villians and frozen. o================o |HIDDEN MONASTERY| o================o You will appear in a room with tiled floors and a huge blue gem beside you. Walk forward and you will be greeted by a woman named Lady Inaya. After a short conversation she will ask you to speak to her Son, Azran. Head South and you will find a man in red clothes. Speak to him, and he will tell you a bit about the Emperor. Since were here, we can do a bit of exploring in the Monastery. First off, like in most Action-RPG games, there is a shop to spend all your money in. Go up the ramp beside Lady Inaya and you will see a guy lying on the floor. Talk to this guy to activate the shop menu. Here you can buy and sell items by pressing the Triangle button on a selected item either in the shop or your inventory. You can also press and hold [] to see how much money it costs or how much it will sell for. As you increase in levels and money, better and better items will be sold in the shop. After you are done with the shopping, go east and talk to the guy in Green Pants with a halberd in his hand. He will tell you to eliminate all of the Eperor's forces that followed you to the Monastery. Now head outside via the Southern entrance and you will arrive back at the Frigid Trail. o============================o | FRIGID TRAIL (REVISITED) | o============================o As you begin you will be attacked by Frost Troopers, elminate them, then head West back across the bridge, where you will encounter more Brutes and Frost Troops. After you have crossed the bridge you will be attacked by numerous enemies. Continue East until you can head South. Remember when the pass was blocked? It looks like the feinds have broken through it, so head South. Keep going South until you reach a two-way path. You can go either way - you will still end up in the same place. Once again you will find a second two-way path, take the Eastern one because it contains a Checkpoint. Continue following the main road, killing any fiends that try to stop you. After taking your second South turn, you will end up in a very large snowy area which is crawling with fiends. If you want experience by killing enemies do so, and try to defeat all the enemies in this area. Head directly South-East until you reach a two way path. Take the South path. Yet again you will find a two-way path, it doesn't matter which path you take. As you go South a short cut-scene will play showing a guy running into a cave with the snow collapsing behined him. Stand in front of the blcokage to find that the cave is blocked. Now check out the map section in your Journal and select the Hidden Monastery. Press X and you will teleport there. o============================o |HIDDEN MONASTERY (REVISITED)| o============================o Speak to the Trainer again and tell him about the blockage. He will tell you some secrets of the Monastery and you will learn how to break the blockage on your own. Now that you have the power to break the blockage, you can teleport back to the same place you were before using the map menu in your Journal. Before leaving, stock up on potions and items and buy better armour at the shop. o===============================o | FRIGID TRAIL (RE-REVISITED) | o===============================o Once you have teleported back to the Frigid Trail, all you have to do is simply hack at the snowy boulder with your sword 2-4 times. The boulder should break and you will have access to the cave. o================o | GLACIAL TOMB | o================o Head North and you will be taken into a boss fight right away. o--------------------------o |BOSS FIGHT - CORPAL ODLAW | o--------------------------o-------------------------------------------------o |Corpal Odlaw will begin to fire his machine gun at you. This guy fires his | |gun rapidly at you and can take a bite from your health. Keep a steady | |attack at him and always watch your health and use health potions when | |needed. You can also use your sepcials all you want because this guy has | |pretty low defence. If your monster form is ready, now is the time to use it| |too. There are also two little Fiend Bud's running aroudn the room that can | |give you a slight amount of damage, so take them out first. | o----------------------------------------------------------------------------o After the Corpal is dead, head North through the door and use the Checkpoint. Continue North to find more Fiend Bud's and Firespitters. Go dwon the staircase and open the door at the bottom. Open the chest at the end of the hallway. These are how chests look like throughout all of Chapter 1. Continue through the hallway until you reach a three way path. Take the West path and open the door. Kill the Fiends and open the chest. Now take the North path and use the Checkpoint. Head up North into a large room filled with more enemies. There will be three other paths to take now. Go through the Eastern door and into a room with a giant hole in the middle. Kill the enemies and open the chest. Now go through the Western door and then go South. Keep following the path until you can go South again. Open the door then continue south until you reach another room with a hole in the middle. Kill all the enemies and open the chests. Now go back up the hall and go West and keep going until you can take another West. Open the door and go down the hall. You will end up in an area leading off into 3 different directions. Continue West and once again you will end up in a room with a hole. Kill the fiends and open the chests. Now take the South path and open the door. Kill more fiends in the next room and open 2 more chests. Finaly take the Northern path and you will find a similar room like the Southern one. Kill everyone and open the chests. Now go back outside and take the North path. Once again, keep following the path until you can go North into an open hallway. In the next room you will find a Checkpoint. Take the East path and open the door. Kill the enemies and open the 2 chests in the next room. Now go back and take the northern path this time. In the next room take the East path. You will end up in a circular room. Kill all the enemies in here and take the South path in this room. You will end of in a little room with a Checkpoint. If you keep going South you will end up back in the room where you first begin earlier. So instead go back up into the circular room. Take the East path now. For the 100th time you will end up in a room circular room with a hole in the middle. Kill everyone, opens the chests, you know the drill. Now go back into the circular room and take the Northern path. Horay! Another room with a hole in the middle. Do your stuff and go back to the circular room, but this time go back by taking the West door. In the next room, go North and fight your way down the long hallway. Just after the Checkpoint, be prepared for a tough battle. o-----------------------------o |BOSS FIGHT - MAJOR DETHGRALL | o-----------------------------o----------------------------------------------o |Go North and open the door to prepare the Boos Battle. A few Fiends will | |jump out at you and you will probably take major damage, so quickly heal and| |put your atention on Major Dethgrall. He may have little health, but he can | |pack a punch with his missle launcher device. If you get near the major he | |can knock you back easily and do some serious damage. Also, watch when he | |charges up his weapon, that is when the Opportunity of Attack is. He will | |fall very quickly if you constantly watch your health, as it can be drained | |pretty fast by this guy. | o----------------------------------------------------------------------------o After Major Dethgrall has been defeated, head North up a long set of stairs. You will end up in a small room with no enemies. There is nothing else to do here, so just go North and through the big door. o================o | ICEN SANCTUARY | o================o Head North down the hallway, and as usual, killing anything that gets in your way. Open the door and make your way down a long set of stair where more enemies await. When you enter the next large room the will be numerous amounts of enemies scattered all over the place. Go West and then go as far South as you can, killing any fiends in your way. When the whole area is clear, head to the Northern part of this room where you will find a doorway leading to a Checkpoint. Up ahead you will find 3 doors, each filled with enemies but locked. Slowly head backwards into the big room you were just in. Just as you take your first step out, the three doors will magically open. All of the fiends will rush out the doors to attack you so kill them all. Head back to the doors and go through the East door. Fight your way through the long halls and you will reach a library-like room. This place is crawling with baddies so watch out. Slowly make a clean sweep of the entire library. After everyone is dead, walk along the Southern wall of this large room and you will find a hallway to go into. Do so. Kill everyone in this next room, then take the West path, killing the Flame Thrower inside. Then take the East path into a room with a... Yup, you guessed it, a room with a hole in the middle. Wipe out all the Fiend Bud's then go through the South door back in the other room. After everyones is dead in the South path. We are finaly done with this door. Head back to the room with the three doors that were closed. Take the West door and fight your way down another long hallway. At the end, you will arrive on a balcony-type of room. Make you way around the balcony killing everyone. You will soon find out that there are 4 different pathways to choose from. Take the West door and eliminate all the fiends in the room at the end of the hallway. Now go back to the balcony room and take the Eastern way. Open the door and continue down the hallway. Once you reach a hallway bending off to the South, ignore it, because we have already travelled there. Continue to the East and you will appear in a big room filled with fiends. Instead of rushing across the room to the East and into the hallway, start working you way into this large room, killing all the fiends. Once you are sure everyone is dead, take the only other hallway out of this large room. You will be greeted by more of the Emperor's Forces. Dispatch of them, then return to the balcony room by heading directly East. Finaly, we can now take the Northern path. Use the Checkpoint and keep going North. You will arrive in a large room, greeted by the next Boss. o------------------------------o | BOSS FIGHT - GENERAL BELZRUK | o------------------------------o---------------------------------------------o |As you take a few steps North a massive blue force field will surround you. | |General Belzruk will now fire missiles at you. He uses some kind of Ice | |spell on the missiles which can slow you down big time. For now, ignore the | |General and instead attack the creature that is regenerating the force | |field. Once it is dead, random amounts of fiends will come running at you. | |Dispatch them all and then focus on the General. Like the other bosses, this| |is pretty much a straight forward battle. When General Belzruk begins to | |charge his gun, that is when the Attack of Opportunity sets in. If you let | |him charge his gun all the way, you will be frozen into an icicle and take | |severe damage. The only tough part about this battle is keeping the | |constant flow of fiends away from you. Keep note the the General can also | |throw you back if you get too close, putting an ice spell on you to slow | |your speed down. | o----------------------------------------------------------------------------o After the boss is dead, head directly North and into a hallway. Make your way up the staircase and continue North to a big door. Open it to end the level. o================o | SUPPLY DEPOT | o================o Ahh... Back to the winter wonderland. Right when you begin, hack at the two red boxes and destroy them. After they have been destroyed the pass will be blocked for good. Head South down the pass to be attacked by a seemingly endless amount of fiends. Continue South until you find an Archway that has been boarded up. The boards are frozen solid so you can't break them with your sword. It's time to report this to Trainer Vishal, so use your Journal to teleport back to the Hidden Monastery. o===============================o |HIDDEN MONASTERY (RE-REVISITED)| o===============================o As you enter go and speak with the Trainer that you spoke to earlier. He will tell you that a strike could come at any moment, and the Monastery is not prepared. But our lucky task is to go into the Supply Depot and elimite all fiends and stop their weapon production. You can now head back to the supply depot whenever you would like to. But before you go, don't forget to restock on supplies at the shop. You will need much more potions, weapons, and aremour to tackle the fiends later on. o===========================o | SUPPLY DEPOT (REVISITED) | o===========================o When you return the boards should now be cleared for full access into the valley ahead. Make your way South, where you will find a Checkpoint guarded by more fiends. After you have activated the Checkpoint, take the Western path. When you reach a two way valley, take the North or South path. Both paths lead to the same area. Continue along the valley, dispatching of all the varieties of Fiends that get near you. After crossing the two-way path take your first West. Keep at a steady pace to the West, never going a single step North or South. When you reach a snowy wall, head South as far as you can until you hit another wall. Follow this Southern wall, killing anything that lingers and continuing to stick to the wall. A long ways away you will start finding boxes stacked on top of each other. Take a few whacks at it with your weapon and they will crumble. Continue down this valley, destroying all of these crates as you go. Soon you will come across a Checkpoint. A couple steps away you will find something that looks like a destroyed watch tower. Head past it, killing more fiends. Continue South along the valley, where more Crates can be destroyed. When the valley breaks off to the West, take out the last few Crates until you get a message saying "that should hurt them." Kill off any of the last remaining fiends and examine the South wall of the valley. You will eventually find an Archway that leads to the end of the level. o================o | SIEGE FACTORY | o================o As you begin take the road to the South. Kill all the fiends here and then head North. Once again eleiminate all the fiends in this small area, then take the Western path through the valley. Cross any of the 2 tunnels and continue West. You will soon come to a huge device guarded by fiends. Kill the fiends, then destroy the device. After the device is down you will reccive a Siege Ingnitor. We need all of the Siege Ignitors to destroy the Siege Factory. After crossing a Checkpoint, the valley will begin to break out into a huge snowy area. Make your way to the South-Western part of this area to find another Siege Weapon. Now make your way West between 2 ruined towers and then make your way North-West to the 3rd Siege Weapon. After is has been destroyed take a few steps North to find a Checkpoint. Continue North to find another area filled with more fiends. Keep pressing North until you can make a turn to the East. Follow this path to find a checkpoint and another Siege Weapon just after it. Countinue onwards and cross any of the two caves here. When you appear in an opening turn West and continue West until you reach a Checkpoint. Now make your way North, ignoring the Western path you come across. Keep going North to find yet another Siege Weapon. After is has been crushed to rubble continue along the Northern path, letting no fiends kill you. The valley will soon once again break off into an abyss full of fiends. Immideately turn East and stick to the wall. You will soon come across another Siege Wepaon to destroy. After the weapon has been destroyed go back to where you first entered this area and then head directly North. After a short ways away you will find a Siege Weapon to turn into rubble. Now head directly North East to find the final Siege Weapon. Give it a few whacks with your weapon to destroy it. Now that all of the Siege Weapons are down, we can shut down the Siege Factory once and for all. Start making your way East and the North into a new valley when you have the chance. Continue North and then take the Eastern path when the road splits up. Cross through the Archway and use the Checkpoint. Press on North as far as you can in this very small canyon. Watch out for multiple groups of enemies, and always watch your health as the the canyon gets narrower. You will soon come to a rock road, where one of the creatures of the Siege Factory has been released. o---------------------------o | BOSS FIGHT - THE OVERSEER | o---------------------------o------------------------------------------------o |As you step onto the rocky road, The Overseer will begin to trample you. | |First, take out all of the fiends in the area so you can have a clean fight.| |Once everyone is dead, The Overseer will begin to flick his whip at you and | |deal mass amount of damage. Start attacking him and blocking to avoid the | |tough hits. One of the main reasons that many players died here is because | |of the small laser beam that is poiting to the ground. DO NOT stand over | |this, and you will deal rapid damage, which adds to The Overseer's damage. | |The Overseer uses only one type of Fire Attack, so it's best to have some | |Fire Protection armour. And if things get too hot, you can always run away, | |The Overseer is much slower then you so you can have time to heal while | |your running. You might win pretty fast because the creature has really low | |health. Good Luck! | o----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Once The Overseer has been slain, stand in front of the machines that it was guarding and press and hold the square button to ignite the forge using all the ignitors you collected while destroying the Siege Weapons. Now you may think the fiends are screwed, but you might be too, so it's not over yet. A timer will appear in the corner of your screen. You have to escape the radius of the explosion before the Siege Factory blows in less than 5 minutes. All you have to do is start backtracking the way you came. But now there will be more fiends scattered throughout the map. Start heading backwards through the small canyon you came in through. When you reach a large open area, run to the South-West corner. You should have about 4 minutes left on the clock once you exit the large area. Continue South and then make your first East turn into another valley. You should have about 3 minutes left on the clock after passing any of the two tunnels up ahead. When you reach another open area, make an East turn and keep going East to find another Checkpoint. Keep going East, you will cross another two tunnels. Continue East, killing all the fiends that try to stop you. You will eventually escape and automatically return to the Hidden Monastary. o==================================o |HIDDEN MONASTERY (RE-RE-REVISITED)| o==================================o Speak to Trainer Vishal. He will tell you that there is no doubt that the Emperor knows the Monastery's location, and that the leader of the Monastery wishes to speak to you at once. Head to the South-East corner of the temple and speak to Master Syria, who looks just like Trainer Vishal but in different clothing. He will grant you safe passage to a temple called the Hibernal Shrine. He will say that the Shrine has be destroyed, and you must collect the three peices that were scattered throughout the temple. Since your here again, re-stock on all potions, weapons and armour before heading to the Hibernal Shrine. When you are ready, head North of the Temple to a big door. Open it to enter the next level. o================o |HIBERNAL SHRINE | o================o Head South down a short hallway and open the door. Make your way down the stairs, killing all the fiends. When you reach and intersection, take the West hallway all the way until you hit another intersection. Go North and follow the hallway. Open the door and kill all the fiends in the next room. Now go back to the last intersection and go South this time. You will arrive in a large room filled with more fiends. Slowly make your way through the room killing all the fiends. There is a very small room in the North-East corner of this large room. Inside is a chest that contains lots of goodies. Now head to the Southern part of this room where you will find a Checkpoint in a hallway. Open the door to find another 4 way intersection. Take the Western hallway and prepare for a tough battle. In this room fiends of all kind will charge at you. Use health packs when needed. Continue through the room killing all the packs of fiends that come at you. When you get to the end of the room you will find a hallway that leads back to the 4 way intersection. The only area we haven't explored yet is the Eastern hallway, so lets go that way. You will arrive in another one of those balcony type of rooms. Start working your way around the room killing all the fiends that inhabate the balcony. Take the Northern path and prepare for a fight. o-----------------------o | BOSS FIGHT - HAMMARAK | o-----------------------o----------------------------------------------------o |As you take your first steps up the Northern path you will find Hammarak. | |Quickly take out the fiends around him and then start giving him all you've | |got. He packs a punch because of his frost shield that surrounds him. If | |you want a better advantaged attack, try finding a fire-based weapon to do | |more damage. This guy rarely hits you but when he hits, he takes a bite | |from your health. After countless numbers of hits he should finaly die. He | |will drop one of the fragments for the Hibernal Shrine. 1 down, 2 to go. | o----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Now take the Eastern path from this balcony. You will soon arrive at a new 4-way intersection. Take the North path and open the door. Use the checkpoint and continue North to a new library-type of room. Like any new room, start working your way throughout the room and kill all the fiends. Go through the Noth-Eastern hallway here and continue North. Ignore the Western turn as it just leads back to where you first began the level. Instead just keep going North. At the end of the hallway open the door and kill the fiends in the next room. Now work your way back into the library room and enter the Southern hallway. Take the Eastern path at the 4-way intersection. The next area is filled with more fiends. Make your way through the room killing everyone as you go. At the end of the room enter the hallway and you will return to the 4-way intersection. Go West to return to the balcony room. Take the Southern path in this room. Halfway down the long hall you will find a Checkpoint. Just after the Checkpoint, go West and and turn South. At the next 4-way intersection, go East and prepare to fight for the second shard. o-------------------------o | BOSS FIGHT - RUMBLEROCK | o-------------------------o--------------------------------------------------o |Rumblerock is pretty much a giant version of a Smasher. So take precautions | |as you would fight a normal Smasher. This guy is absoloutely no biggie at | |all. Don't forget to always watch when he drops his hammer to the floor. | |That indicates the Attack of Opportunity, where you can get some easy hits. | |This guy will be dead before you know it. | o----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Back at this 4-way intersection, take the West path and open the door. You will arrive in a new room filled with more fiends. Start making your way South, killing all the fiends in this room. Once you reach the end of this long room you will find a hallway with a Checkpoint inside. Continue down the hall until you reach another intersection. The Northern path just takes you back to where you fought Rumblerock to instead lets go East. Open the door and enter the Shrine Room at the end. Start making a clean sweep of this room by taking out all of the fiends inside. For now, use your 2 fragments on the Idol. A cutscene will play showing gems rising up from the Idol. We still need one more fragment to fix the Idol. So head out of this room and take your first North. Use the Checkpoint and enter the next room. Work your way through the room, killing all the Smashers, Hammaraks, and Troopers along the way. Once you manage to get to the end of the fiend infested room, go into the hallway to the West. You will appear back in the room where you first fought Rumblerock. Go South and then turn West, then turn South into a new hallway. Now that all the fiends in the enitre Hibernal Shrine have been vanquished, a door back in the Shrine Room will now have opened. So return to the Shrine Room and go to the South-East corner down the hallway. Be prepared for the toughest boss fight yet. o------------------------------o | BOSS FIGHT - THE BOKNI MAGUS | o------------------------------o---------------------------------------------o |The key to this fight is speed and knowing your attacks. As you enter head | |to the back of the room to activate the boss. He will begin to fire red | |circular beams at you that can paralyze you and deal good damage. Try to | |dodge them by getting out of the line of fire. If you get hit with these red| |beams, The Bokni Magus will heal himself equal to the damage he hits on you.| |He will also fire blue beams at you. DODGE THESE AT ALL COSTS! If they | |manage to hit you, the ice spell in them will dramatically lower your speed,| |making yourself a better target for the Bokni, resulting in him healing | |faster. As you make your way closer and closer to the Bokni (and constantly | |dodging his attacks) you will have an Oppurtunity of Attack once you stand | |beside him. Instead of charging your meter all the way up, just hold it for | |one second and let go to release a strong hit on him. Repeat this process | |until he dies. When it comes to beating this boss the only tough part is | |dodging his attacks. If you are still lacking. Just keep practicing by | |dodging his attacks over and over again until you get the hang of it. | o----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Once he is finaly dead. Take the Idol fragment back to the Shrine and fix the Idol. The Idol will release a bright yellow glow when it has been fixed. Report back to the leader of the Monastery by teleporting via the map in your journal. o=====================================o |HIDDEN MONASTERY (RE-RE-RE-REVISITED)| o=====================================o Speak to Master Syuria and tell him the good news. He will congratulate you and tell you that Prince Azran is no longer safe here. After the conversation go and speak to Prince Azran in the South-West corner of the Temple. He will tell you that when Trainer Vishal tells everyone to leave, the escort service will begin. Now speak to Prince Azran's mother, who is just North of you. She will ask you to keep her son safe at all times. Now is a good time to buy some new armour and weapons and restock on all potions because you wont have to ability to teleport back here after you leave. When you are sure that you are ready, speak to Trainer Vishal to set off. ============================================================================== 2. Chapter Two ============================================================================== As the escort to protect Prince Azran begins, all hope goes down in history when everything goes wrong. The Eperor's Forces are out to kill Prince Azran, and your job is to protect him at all costs... o=================o | ASHEN FOOTHILLS | o=================o UNDER CONSTRUCTION.
