Walkthrough ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you want to do all the Optional Quests then look at section 3.1 for the requirements of each. 2.1 Surdana When you are finally able to move, press select to go to the menu. Look at your first quest. Your PRIMARY quest is to "Find Lady Myschala at the palace in Surdana." Run to the tent and talk to the guard. You will then be shown a stuffed dummy. Get the controls mastered and then go under the tent to the chest. Take the gold and continue down the path. You will then be jumped by some Olak's. Kill them. Take the road to the left to get to there hideout. Take their treasure and return to the main path. Go to the bridge. Run at it and jump the hole while holding forward. Then push triangle to climb up. Wrap around the mountain and watch the Olak get crushed. Roll under the tree and kill the next Olak. Go to the tent and grab the bow. Practice on the target and go into town. Go down the path to see a cut scene. Go to the lift and enter the castle. Watch the cut scene and get a new quest. Arokh returns and gives you a quest, then he will take you to the blacksmith to get some weapons. Buy what you think is necessary and the blacksmith will tell you he wants the helmet of the Toadfist King. Now go to the stone bridge to continue with the Primary Quest. Jump to the left and talk to the gate guard to open the gate. Jump in the water and follow it into the Shadowmire. It will ask you to save say yes. 2.2 Shadowmire Continue through the water until you can get on land. Walk to the man standing by the bridge. Talk to him he will give you an Optional Quest to find his missing daughter. Now cross the bridge and kill the enemy on the other side. Go left down the hillside. Go in the water and follow it to the right. There is a swamp hut with treasure in it. Go back to the swamp and walk past the trees with stands on them. There is another hut to the right. Loot it and continue. Then there is a hut on the left, loot it and continue again. Now continue through the swamp. There is another house on the left raid it and leave. Go through the swinging log timing it right and kill the enemy. Now there are Tiki masks shooting arrows at you. At the end is a ramp like, leading up out of the swamp. Follow the path to the man standing alone. Talk to him and remember him for you will see him again. Continue up the path where you will see a path leading down. Go down it and across the bridge to a hut. Raid it and head back to the main path. Enter the cave at the top. When entering the stone structure be careful not to fall in the holes in the floor. Exit the cave and go down the hill. When you reach the bridge jump across and kill the enemy. Go off the path to the right to get an item. Jump to the platforms, then to the ground. Continue forward to see a cut scene, kill the three enemies to free the girl. This takes care of your Optional Quest to find her. Now climb the ladder. Enter the hut and raid the place. Then jump down the hole. Then go through the cave killing the spiders and what not as you go. At the end there will be a lift. Take it up. Exit the cave to see the Tree of Mourning. Walk into the entrance to watch a short cut scene. Go to the cave on the left far wall when facing the door into the tree. Cross the fallen tree as a bridge. When you come to a hole in the ground drop into the swamp. Follow the path south to find a sign saying Keep Out. Go off to the left and up a ramp to the Hermit's House. Watch the cut scene. You will then get a new Primary Quest to get four satchels of powder to make an explosive. Find the key on the wall and leave the hut. Go behind the hut to the locked gate and unlock it. Wrap around the mine going left avoiding the elevator and grab the green bag. Then take the elevator up to the next level. Straight ahead of the entry point is another bag. Go up the next elevator and right behind you is the bag sitting on a table. Now go outside the cave and wrap around left to get the last satchel. Take the elevator back down and return to the hermit. Watch the cut scene and go into the cave almost right in front of the hut. Continue down the cave to a blocked doorway. Use the blasting pot and blow it open. Go left at the intersection and take the lift down. Run through the cave to the doorway leading down. Then wrap around to the door leading down and free the man we saw earlier from his imprisonment. Go through the door behind the red pillar. Go up the multiple sets of stairs into the Library. Go up the next set of stairs. Go through the open tunnel and kill all the enemies. Go into the tree and grab the Rune. Now head back up the same path. Go through the newly opened door. Turn right inside the ruins. Make your way around to the lift and take it down to the path to your next Optional Quest, to get the helmet. Walk along the side of the cliff and enter the throne room. Watch the cut scene. Kill the king and take the helmet. Go back up the lift and head straight to exit the cave. Go across the bridge, it will break sending you to the bottom in some water. Go towards the enemy and kill them. You will then free the same man from earlier again. He will give you an Optional Quest. To get it continue on to through the swamp. When you reach the stone pedestal stand on the symbol for a cut scene. Go into the door and take the sword. Then the door will close and skeletons will come alive. When you kill them the door will open and you can leave. Go up the hill you past by earlier. Go through the cave and pull the lever at the top to gain access to the first part of the mire. Go across the bridge and talk to the man since you so kindly saved his daughter. Exit the mire and head back to Surdana. 2.3 Back to Surdana Right when you exit the mire you will see a cut scene. Go back to the castle to get another quest. It is to "Search for a guide to Ravenshold in the Andrellian Isles." Before you go drop the helmet off at the blacksmith's for your reward. Buy some new equipment and walk into the dragon. Then push triangle to go up into the air. Fly over to the east towards the Andrellian Isles. 2.4 Andrellian Isles You start with a cut scene. Then you will get an Optional Quest to destroy the catapults that are attacking the Outpost. You will also receive a Primary Quest to kill Bonegrinder to clear the stormy weather. Now fly straight across the river and destroy the catapults. After you destroy them return to the man you first talked to. He will give you reward money and a new quest. Find Master Sevoth. Enter the cave which is next to some tents. Follow the path inside the cave until you reach a fork. Going straight will bring you to a blacksmith. Do some shopping and then take the next tunnel. In the tunnel you will find Sevoth. You will also get a new quest to find a stolen medicine pouch. Leave the cave and climb on Arokh. Now fly back over to where the catapults were across the river. Then go over the mountain and land on the other side after you kill the enemy. Enter the cave from this side. Get on the lift on the other side of the cave. Go down the next lift when you find it. Take the treasure from the barrels and go back up the lift. Then continue to the left. Watch the cut scene. Then kill the big monster for the pouch. Now exit the cave by going through the once blocked gate and return to the Outpost. Go see Sevoth. You will get a new quest to collect twenty crystals from the crystal mines. Before you go to the caves get on the ship at the end of the Outpost. Talk to the captain to get an Optional Quest to find his charts. Now get on Arokh and look at your map. See the large indention at the north. Then right below it is a small indention, go to this one and you will find a cave. Enter it, Make your way to the end. You must run and jump to the other edge to continue. Then climb on the crates and jump to the other side. Then at the end grab the charts and go through the exit on the right. Return to the captain and get your reward. Now get on Arokh and fly to the blue dot on your map. Destroy the catapults and spike launchers. Then find the entrance to the mines on the lower part of the island and enter. 2.5 Crystal Mines When you enter the mines you must save your game. You will then reach a choice in the path, go to the right. There will be a crystal in a hay wagon, take it. Then take the lift down and enter a crystal covered cave. Smash the crystal spikes with your sword to get some more pieces. At the next intersection go straight to take another crystal from within another hay cart. Then go to the left. Take the crystal out of the spikes and continue into the mine. Then take the next lift down again. Walk into the large room to be ambushed. Kill all the monsters. DON'T LET THE LARGE MONSTER THROW YOU, IT IS AUTOMATIC DEATH!!! Then collect all the crystals in the area and leave through the cave in which the enemy came from. Jump the chasm and climb the ladder. Be careful up here because there is another large beast like the one before. Just stay on the wooden platform and he shouldn't come after you. Shoot him with arrows till he dies. Then collect the crystals. Leave the room going right. Collect some more crystals and climb the ladder. Then jump to each platform and enter the cave at the end. First take the lift up and take the treasure then ride it back down. Then go right. Take the crystals and go back up the last lift. This takes you to the path that goes left at the very start of the cave. Exit the mines. Now go back to the Outpost and give the crystals to Master Sevoth. 2.6 Bonegrinder's Lair Master Sevoth will give you a Lightning spell and map out the hideout to Bonegrinder. Now climb on Arokh's back and fly to the newly marked area on your map. You will then see a cut scene. Then you must fight a two-headed beast that is in the water. Just keep blasting it with the fireballs until it dies. Grab the floating blue orb to obtain a new firing power for your dragon. It is above the dead water beast. Now land on the ground by the tornado. Enter the cave. Then you will see a monster warp inside the cave. Go off to the left and jump from platform to platform. Then weave around the pit and cross the little board as a bridge. Then jump from platform to platform again to go down. Drop down to the next floor to see the spinning tornado. Then jump to the ring surrounding the tornado, and drop to the next. Then find some stacked boxes off to one of the sides so you can drop down. Now enter the cave, and drop from each platform to get down lower. Then walk around and use the platforms to go even lower. Enter the large rolling doorway for a cut scene. Now you must fight Bonegrinder. To kill him you must first destroy the crystals, this is because they are making him invulnerable to your attacks. After that is done kill him with everything you've got. After you kill him take his staff. Then go to the south across a land bridge and pull the lever. Teleport out of the cave and climb on the dragon. Then fly forward to watch a cut scene. When it asks save your game. 2.7 Ravenshold Right when you enter you will gain two new quests, Restore the Gateway to Surdana and to Locate Ravenshold. Land by the ship and talk to the captain to get some free items. Now fly along the river, you can enter the cave by the spike shooters to get a really good bow. Now continue down the river. To get another weapon cross the bridge and figure out the statue puzzle. Then enter the cave. After you are done continue down the river. Continue until a cut scene starts. Fly over the city to reach the Gateway and have the dragon open it. You can now teleport back and forth to Surdana and Ravenshold. Now is a good time to complete some of the Optional Quests. See section 3.1 for details on them. Now talk to Ranwulf again. He is in the lodge at the north of town. You will get two new quests. Take the plans to the wizard and talk to Tashvek in the town. First fly to the wizards tower. Walk up to the front door for a cut scene. You will get five new quests to do. Now return to Ravenshold, you can now access all the buildings. Enter the blacksmith shop, it is in front of Ranwulf's house. Talk to the man to get another quest to find his brothers journal. Then talk to Ranwulf. Now run to the house in between the wine house and the blacksmith shop. Talk to Tashvek. He will give you two new quests to do. Now fly over to the Grull's Camp. 2.8 Grull Camp Fly to the wizards tower and take a sharp left. There will be spike launchers and about five dragons. After you dispose of them search for the cave entrance. Go through the cave until you find a bunch of bottles on some crates. There is a vile of Pagan blood on it. Take it and leave the cave. Now look at your map and go to the Hunting Grounds in the southeast corner of the map. Two black wings will appear out of no where and attack you when you leave. 2.9 Daemog's Hunting Grounds After the second waterfall there is a river running under then mountain. Jump off of Arokh and wade through the river. Save after killing each scavenger. If you have it cast the magic spell of Time Slow. Then kill the BABY yeti. Then SAVE and move forward. Watch the cut scene and then kill Daemog the GIANT yeti. Cast Time Slow again so you don't have to dodge a lot and go and kill him. After it is dead, (This took me three tries, died both times by being picked up and smashed in the palm of his hand.) go into his cave. Be careful of the scavengers inside the cave that used to live with the yeti. Grab the journal and continue through for treasures and more scavengers. Continue on for a shortcut to the exit. Jump on your dragon and fly to Ravenshold. As you go back two more black wing dragons will attack you. Give the journal to the blacksmith and he will give you a key to the tomb and a torch. Now fly to the wizards tower and then go north and then east. 2.10 The Forgotten Tomb Look on the left side for some ruins and two iron knight statues. There will be a grull campsite and a locked door. Walk up to the door, equip the key and press L1. Now put the torch on the hot slot feature and enter. Equip it to see in the dark. KNOW THAT THE TORCH IS NOT A GOOD WEAPON, YOU MUST EQUIP THE SWORD TO KILL THE SKELETONS. Going left or right doesn't matter. Large spikes will be stabbing out of the walls. Then you will make a turn going inward to form a square with the other passage. When you reach the intersection turn in so you enter the middle of the square. Kill the skeletons in the room and take the goblet. Then go across the hall and down some stairs at the end of the hallway. Go into the abandoned room and take the item on the stand. Then roll under the door on the right side. The lever does not work, continue down the stairs. Pass the passage on the right and continue forward. The first left is to another tunnel like the one you are in. On the second right there is an item called the Fangs Amulet. When you take it the coffin in front of you will open. Go through the hole in the wall and take the Horn Amulet. Then go back to the hallway. Then go to the right and pass by the stairs. Turn the corner and take the first right. Kill the skeletons and grab the Talons amulet. Leave into the hallway and turn right, and go right. Take the wing amulet. Now go back into the hallway and go down the stairs you ignored. Kill the skeletons and push L1 on all four of the holders. Drop down the newly created hole. Kill the skeletons and take the ashes. Then go up the stairs to come through a hidden passage. Take a right then a left and go up the stairs. Then go to the other way you didn't come from on the decision of your first right to left. This will allow you to walk through with the spikes not activated. Exit the cave and climb on Arokh. You can sell the torch back to the blacksmith because you won't need it. After you buy what you want it is time to go to the North lands. Fly to the Green dot on your map. Enter the cave WITH THE DRAGON!!!! IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO OR YOU WILL LOSE HIM FOREVER!!!!! 2.11 Northern Tundra Right when you exit two black wing dragons will attack you. Fly to the Northmen's camp, it in the middle of the map of the part that is still on the left side. You will see a smoke stack. Land by the camp and enter the cave. Talk to the man standing by the wine keg. He will give you a quest. Then talk to the man sitting at the table. He wants you to kill the invisible wartock and bring back the magic gauntlets. Now go up the ramp and talk to the shopkeeper to repair your gear. SAVE and go outside. Climb on Arokh and fly to the Bartok caves. You can see a bartok vanish when you go after him. 2.12 Bartok Cave Enter either cave. When you reach the first big open room run to the far right to stay out of the way of the explosion the two wartoks' on top of the cave cause. Continue through the cave. Go around the wall and up the ramp, kill all the bartok that come at you. One of them will be the invisible bartok. He will attack and then vanish. You will reach a room with a large hole in it. You could find a side with sort of a steep ramp and slide down it, this will hurt you a little, which might still kill you if you screw up. Or you could walk around it and go down the path. You will then have a visit from the vanishing bartok again. Continue onward. You will then enter a room lit by lava. Go around the wall. You must then jump across from pedestal to pedestal while avoiding the lava balls. Continue going down through the tunnel. The invisible bartok is standing at the ruins pass-through. Go and beat on him. After he disappears kill the other two bartok and then some scavengers start to attack. Kill them as well. You will then see the a scavenger and a bartok fighting either kill them or just run by. If you stay a bunch of scavengers will come running out of the cave. Continue down the cave. When you reach some ruins the invisible bartok is standing behind them. Enter the doorway to look at there prison. Kill the wartoks in here and take the treasure. Continue onward to where there is one Bartok at the end of a long room. This one is the invisible bartok, kill him and take the gauntlets. Then raid the treasure bins and leave. Go back to the camp and give the gauntlets to the man sitting at the table. He will regrettably give you his golden blade. Now you should explore the map some and kill as many enemies as possible. Then fly over to the ice caves. 2.13 Ice Caves They are on the map if you talked to the man standing next to the wine kegs in the camp cave. Now enter the cave and collect the treasure before you enter. SAVE your game and step on the teleporter. Straight ahead of you to the left is the dead body of that man's friend. Take his gold since he won't want it anymore. In this area there are things known as Ice Golems. They fire deadly lasers at you from great distances. Kill them as you move forward. Go to the right and through the forest. after you go through the large open cave tunnel you will go into another forest filled with more golems. Kill them using the trees as cover. Continue forward. When you go in between the two mountains and come out at another forest there are more golems along with the scavengers. Take the treasure from inside the ruins and climb the side of the mountain. Go over to the right killing three more golems and reach some ruins by going right and then left. Take the treasure inside it and go back around going right and right again to get down the other side safely. Then kill the six golems that are down here. Continue on by running up the hill to find more golems. Kill all nine of them and continue to the eye statue. Walk up the ramp and take the pupil part. This is the final piece. Now head back a ways and to the right to go down further. Inside the ruins is a teleporter and treasure. Step on the transporter and mount your dragon. Now return to the camp so you can repair your equipment. Now return to Ravenshold to give the wizard your four items. Fly over to his tower to see a cut scene. You must fight the Half men so Arokh can bring the wizard. You will then be put in the middle of a fight, kill them all. Watch the cut scene and mount Arokh. Go into the cave. SAVE when it prompts you and go into a larger snow covered area. 2.14 Shiverbane This is home to the Half men. Exit the cave and kill the two new dragons and the Half men. There is a tent a few seconds north of the entrance. Inside is some treasure. As you fly through there are giant laser canons shooting spiraling ice. Destroy these along with the Half men and dragons flying about.Keep going north. When you reach the gate a giant yeti comes out. Kill it using Arokhs powers. Walk through the gate with your dragon and kill the Half men as you go. At the end the door is closed with a hole just big enough for Rynn to fit in. Go through it and continue into the Half men base. Run forward and kill the two Half men while dodging arrows coming from all sides. Go along the path to find a hanging skeleton with two doors, one on either side. Go left and up the ramp. This will take you outside, go to the right and into the next cave. Go around the bends and see a cut scene. Then fight Indja and Yedeen. Kill them and then take the lift down a floor. Go through the cave down here after taking the treasure. Then take the treasure in this room along with the skull crusher. Go back up the lift and through the caves to the hanging skeleton. Go straight across to the next cave. At the fork take a left. Kill the Half men inside the torture room and take all the treasures. Then go back to the intersection and turn left. Go along the right edge of the cliff and cross the bridge. Kill the scavengers and take the gold in the cave. Then continue along the left side of the cliff to reach the bottom. The wooden lookout is just a waste of time so go past it unless there is an enemy on it. Walk through the ruins taking the treasure and continuing along the path. After that there is a watch tower with a blue light coming from it. Circle around the hill next to you when you first saw this tower and go up the ramp and find another ramp leading down into a cave with ruins. Take the treasures and leave. Enter the cave up on the higher level closer to the ruins that you made it to before seeing the watch tower. Take the weapons and treasures in here. Now go across the two bridges and enter the cave to the right. Kill the two Half men and go right. Collect the treasure and go back the other way. After going down and around the bend walk across the ruins. You will then fall into a trap and watch a cut scene. You will then appear in a prison cell. To escape kill the guard with a magic spell like Lightning Bolt. When you kill him the key will slide through the door. Take it and open the exit. On the left side of the wall straight ahead of you is another key. It is hanging on the wall. Take it then turn 180 degrees and walk to the opposite wall to take two more keys. Open the doors, I found that only one cell has a useful item in it. Go up the stairs and run straight across avoiding the Half men. The gates will close everywhere. Then the gates on the sides will open releasing two scavengers. Run into each room they came out of and pull the lever to raise the gates. Then continue onward through the cave passing by all the enemies. Run up the ramp and turn left. Run through the big room and up another ramp. After the room with a bunch of crates you will find your weapons set in a circle in the next room. Take them and start killing the Half men. Take the lift up to the upper levels and continue down the path. Go up the stairs and go outside. Watch the cut scene and fight Maulgak. Walk to the next dragon gate and watch the cut scene. Now run down the path to the right. Continue until you find a guard tower with a bridge going to a lever. Pull it to allow your dragon to come inside. Get to a place the dragon can land and call him. Now fly over the arena that you fought Maulgak to gain a new dragon power. Then go to the gate. After you open it fly in. 2.15 Surdana Once Again Repair and buy new items at the blacksmith shop. Now do some more Optional Quests if you want to. Then go to the lift in town and take it up to the castle. When you enter the second set of doors there will be a cut scene. You must now figure out how the assassins got into the castle. Go into the right door if you are facing Myschala. Then turn left and enter the little library. The bookcase in the back will open revealing a hidden passage. At this point you should have flipped the three switches in town under the optional quest for FLIP THOSE SWITCHES!!!! and when you the first cellar room with barrels attack the indented wall in the corner. Flip the switch that is deep inside. This opens a door in the opposite wing of the castle for a lot of gold. Continue through the tunnels until you find a teleporter. Now go back to the general to report your findings. Watch the cut scene. Now you will have to fight the traitor. I won't say who it is, yet it was very obvious. Kill the person just like you did with the desert lords. Now go to the other wing of the building to get at the treasure. That is if you flipped all the switches. Now complete all the Optional quests in town and buy all the items and spells you will need. Then fly to the new dot at the lower left of your map to the Valley of the Fallen. 2.16 Valley of the Fallen You will have to kill two red dragons and continue on to the gate. It will be over run by the enemy. Kill them all and destroy there catapults. Walk into the gate with your dragon. SAVE the game and watch the cut scene. Fly through the mountains and reach the small farm houses. Watch the cut scene and kill the bone dragons that attack. The townspeople will give you two locations and two quests. Now let's go to the third gate. Go southeast of the farm and wrap around the mountain going west. Kill all the dragons and catapults that stand in your way and open the gate. Now go back to the farm and re-equip. Then go to the Bartok Base. The cave is behind the dragon gate on the ground. 2.17 Bartok Base Go inside and kill the bartok. Take the key that is lying on the table near the lift. This allows you into the Bartok Base. You can either go up the floors and take the remaining treasure and experience or just leave the cave. Now go through the Dragon Gate to see a cut scene. At the Blacksmith he is now selling the games best armor, shield, and bow. Buy up and go back through the portal. Now fly to the river just to the left. You will find an alcove with a cave that goes through with water leading up it. Go in by foot and kill the bartok. Then go to the locked door and enter it. Take the path that leads down to the left. Kill all wartoks in sight. In the big room wrap around to the left to continue after you kill the three wartoks just standing there. When you reach some crates that are off to the right jump on them to get down safely. Kill the Grull that are under the cliff and continue. Climb the hill and enter the tunnel to continue forward. Take the lift to the up to the next floor. When you go near the tunnel run backwards away from the gunpowder barrels to avoid the bartok trap. Then kill the attacking wartoks. Go to through the tunnel on the right and climb the boxes. Then jump across and pull yourself onto the ledge. The door on the side is locked so continue to the two standing wartoks. Go into the next room where Rynn says that it looks like someone is up there. Look up to see a cage suspended in the air. You will also see a stack of boxes as you go up the ramp. Climb these by doing back flips, then get onto the ledge. If you have been reading the side quests and got the three stones then this is the place to place one of the three. Then climb back down and kill the bartok guarding the lever. Go behind here and to the table. Take the prison key and pull the lever. DO NOT STAND UNDER THE CAGE, IT WILL KILL YOU. It's Perry. He will give you a key. Now you must take him home. Walk to the locked door. Open the gate at the end to go outside. You can't have both of you ride the dragon so you must make it on foot. Cross the bridge to the right. Go to the red flag and turn right. Enter the cave. Run through the cave killing the wartoks, Grulls, and scavengers. Then exit the other side. Then kill the three scavengers and enter the cave to your left. Make sure the kid is still following you. Now exit the cave cross the bridge and run on to his home. Talk to his father for a reward. 2.18 Lower Ruins Fly back to the third Dragon Gate. Above the cave that you got the first key to open the base is a lower mountain. Fly over this to reach the desert area. After disposing of the bone dragons fly forward. The ruins you first come to is the place where you will pick up your Fire blade, after you place the last stone. Now continue onward. When you reach the big ruins it will go into a cut scene and the traitor will wake up two dragons. Kill them both to continue. Fly above the ruins to get Arokh's final breath spell. Now go to the small door on the left of the main doors since you can't just walk inside. Use the key and step on the teleporter. Kill the skeletons and check the barrels. Then go down the stairs. Kill some more skeletons. The music will then stop and you can here the sound of scraping metal. The door up the next set of stairs has moved. Go up them. The doors will then close and some dead assassins will attack you. You can kill them by grabbing the bow by the boxes and jumping up on the highest one. Then start sniping. Then step on the teleporter. Walk around the path killing the skeletons. Do not fall off. Enter the tunnels. A wall will open on straight ahead of you. Go in and kill the skeletons. Pull the lever inside and return to the hallway. A new passage opens. Go inside, Kill more skeletons. Walk into the big room and kill the skeletons. Then part of the floor will fall and three doors will open. The doors on the sides give you a sword and a bow. Continue forward. Go down the stairs and around the tunnels. A door will close behind you trapping you inside with a bunch of coffins. Kill the skeletons and a gate will raise on the left wall. Pull the lever. This opens the gate straight ahead. Go in and you will come out at a graveyard. The door will close behind you, kill the skeletons. Go to the right side of the graveyard to place one of the three stones in the right place. This should be the last one. Now continue through this "dungeon". A large structure should have risen by now allowing you to walk up the stairs. Watch the cut scene. Then fight Gothraul. Kill him and take the key next to his chair. Now start heading back to the entrance. In the large coffin room a door will open to your left. Go in and take the treasure, teleport out of there. Now go to the door on the right and place the key in the circle. Go up the stairs. 2.19 Upper Ruins Go to the left and take the treasures, also from going straight. Then go into the large room to the right. There are assassins in here. Kill them. Head up the stairs for some items and then back to the middle to continue. Jump down the hole and walk towards the block. Push the block to the pillar in the center left position. Use it to climb up. Go across the bridge and turn right, there are some blocks that act as stairs. Use them. Then back flip up onto the next floor. Go up the ramp and into the doorway. In the second alcove on the left there is a statue of Gothraul take the key from it and QUICKLY turn around. Some assassins come to kill you again. Then go up the two stair cases and jump the cracks in the floor. Quickly run up the hall and kill the archer. You will then be on the other side of the lasers in the main entrance. You must now deactivate them. Head past the door on your right and turn down the next right. Take the lift down. Kill the assassins. Take the key from the statue on the left. Now ride the lift back up to the previous floor. Push the available block into the path of the laser so you can roll under it. There are doors on both sides, use your keys to open bothe of them and pull the levers. Some more assassins will run through the back door, so kill them. Then go out the door towards the desert. Now is the final time to do any Side Quest. Do them now. If you got the three stones in the pillars then go get the Fire Blade. Take it with you to Sardana and pick up the other three blades. Go to the blacksmith and you will enable the ability to purchase the ULTIMATE WEAPON. After you do all that you want to in this part of the game, walk Arokh through the tunnel in the desert. YOU WILL NEVER COME BACK. After you have completed all of your business go back to this tunnel. TAKE YOUR DRAGON YOU WILL LOSE HIM OTHERWISE. Now Go through the newly opened way. 2.20 The Tunnel Enter the large area and kill the griffins in the room. Go down to the ledge on the left side of where you came in. You must get off of Arokh to go in. Kill the assassins and go through the hallways. At the end is a lever. Pull it to open a door. Go through the now open door on the left and go down the lift. Take the key off the pedestal and kill the assassins. Take the lift back up and unlock the door straight ahead. Run through these halls to get to a huge pit. JUMP across to the sparkling part. Be careful not to fall. Keep your eye on the sparkles so you don't fall into a hole. Now go up the stairs. Go down the hall on the left, turn right and watch the cut scene. Kill the traitor and continue through the cave. Pull the lever by the iron door to allow your dragon inside. Watch the cut scene. SAVE when prompted. 2.21 Stratos Kill the enemy that comes to kill you. Go to the place called Ferry, its on your map. Land by the building and go in the front foyer. Talk to the man. Then fly to the place called Grotus' Lair. Land and enter the iron door. Run down the ramp and turn around to see the iron door open to release two assassins. Kill them then continue down the ramp. When you reach the closed door kill the four armed man that appears. Enter the door and turn right. Go down the stairs and turn left. Every time you kill a Floating Demon one door will open. Eventually you will open the one to proceed. Go through it. On the left path there is the POTION that you need and some items. On the other side there are some more items. You will hear laughter every time you go into the sides for items. Then head back to the door. Kill the boss and head to the teleporter. Go into the building to watch a cut scene. Step on the lift and descend a floor. Step on the next lift to go even further. There is a lady on the lounge chair, go down the hall away from her. Enter the room full of ladies and talk to the one with the mask on, then go back to the door and it will open. Kill the enemy on the other side and Go through the door that has just opened straight across from the women's quarters. Go to the left at the fork to see the ferry pull into the chasm. Now go to the other side of the fork and continue on. Go down the stairs to the left, and turn right. Kill the assassins to reach a door. It will open as you approach just in time to see the ship leave. Run around the cliff and enter the door on this side. Run down the stairs and watch the cut scene. Then walk forward and watch another cut scene. Then run back to where you last saw the ship and get on it by walking across the path lined only by the falling petals. Watch the cut scene and step off the ship. Then kill the two floating enemies. Step on the teleporter in the back of the room. Then run to the center of the platform. Watch the cut scene then the Flesh Mage will attack you. You can't hurt him so run around to the open door on the right side. The door will close and you must kill the golem walking towards you. Turn right and enter the next room. Kill the golems inside here. Then step on the sort of switch like floors to open the red shield like doors. Then either fire an arrow or your magic at the red orb floating in each door to keep it open. Flip the levers, there is a total of four. The exit will then be opened. Go through and run down the halls fighting your way to the door. This will bring you to the altar again. Now run to the door on the left side. Kill the enemies as you go through. Then when you reach the large open room run forward and to the right to find the door. A golem will break it open and you can either kill him or run to the urn and break it to activate the lift. Go through the scavenger infested tunnel and grab the sword near the end. Then turn left to exit the tunnel and enter a large room. Run straight across to go up a dirt ramp. Then you will enter a room full of vases and skeletons. Wreck the whole room and go up the stairs. Out off to the left is the best armor and shield in the game, placed on a dead warrior. Take it if you never bought it. Now flip the switch and shoot the chandelier. Watch the cut scene and then shoot the flying urn. After you destroy it watch the cut scene. Take the Golem Staff and go back down the stairs. Then step on the teleporter. Walk forward and watch the cut scene. Then fight the boss. After you defeat him, there is another cut scene. Then use your dragon to target the golem. Then push L2 to target Jasaad. Then swoop in close to the golem so it swings its arm. When it is reaching for you shoot Jasaad. Continue the battle this way until he is defeated. You have now completed DRAKAN. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Extras ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.1 Optional Quests Do during the Shadowmire quest Brekk the Blacksmith wants Toadfist's Helmet - To get this put on your list visit the Blacksmith. You can get this one when you are looking for the Rune in the marsh land. After you grab the rune a new door will open in a cut scene. Go through it and find the lift. Take it down and go around the large pit. Watch the cut scene and kill the monster, take his helmet. Then go back up the lift and continue to the exit. Do during the whole game (You should activate immediately though) Alchemist wants Black wing eggs - To get this put on your list go talk to the Alchemist In Surdana. Now get on the dragon and fly towards the Dragon Gate. Then follow the river to the southwest and a Black Dragon Nest will be on the right side. Land next to the nest and go into it, take the eggs. There is three more nests in Snotmaw's Base. The first is straight ahead of the entrance way that you come through. right on the mountainous land with a Black Dragon resting on top of it. Then when you first entered you should have seen the black wing dragon sleeping on the grass ledge to the left, there is no nest but there are three eggs. The other is on the right side of the mountains just before you see the cut scene to Snotmaw's Base. You can sell the eggs to the Alchemist. I don't think I found all the nests and got tired of looking. If you find more nests than the ones I have listed, please EMAIL me at ryu349@yahoo.com I was told that this side quest is also always going to be open and can supposedly never be finished. Do at any time you are in Surdana Rescue farmer's wife - To get this go past the blacksmith shop out the gate. Go past the first farm house you come to and reach the second one. Talk to the man in the yard. Go back to the first house you past and turn 180 to see somewhat of the top of a cave poking out off to the left of the path. Go in. Turn left wrapping around the pit. Fighting the tremor looking creatures as you go. When you wrap around the right there will be somewhat of a "hidden" cave filled with three enemies. Kill them. Go to the stone columns and grab the club on the pedestal. Then take the treasure. Continue up and around keeping to the left wall. Go up the spiral like ramp and work your way through the monsters. Finally off to the left is the missing wife who wants you to help her out, well turn around and walk to the white rock which is to the right and push the boulder out of the way. Go to the house and talk to the man. Get your reward. Do at any time you are in Surdana Kill all the spiders in a cellar - To put this on your list go to the house in front of the tavern. Talk to the scared man. Take the gold from the two chests upstairs and head down the stairs. Kill all ten spiders and grab the club behind the large crates. Then from the room with the large wine kegs go down the tunnel that leads downstairs. On the right wall is a fake, weak wall. Attack it and a hole will be revealed exposing a lever. Pull it. Now return to the house part and go into the once locked door next to the bed. Pull the lever inside there. Go outside and talk to the scared man again. Claim your reward. Then run over to the blacksmiths shop and go to the once locked door there and pull that lever. This opens a way to a bunch of treasure later in the game. Do during any time you are in Surdana Find and kill the Inquisitor - To get this on your list go to the Tavern and talk to the man watching the guitarist. Go to the stone bridge path leading down and get in the water. Swim to the left and then to the right going around the castle. Go on the land and up to the waterfall. Then go in the cave. It will ask you to save accept and continue. This is the cave of BIG WARPIGS. In the center open the chests for treasure and climb down. Go through the cave on the left to raise the bridge. Then go back on path to climb down further. Before crossing the bridge there are two structures with treasure and enemies inside. Now cross the bridge. Kill the two pigs and enter the tunnels. As you enter there are two stairs take either one and you will hear a "classic" evil voice talking to a kidnaped man. Run down the ramp to find out that the Inquisitor is non other than a floating mummy "Mum-Rah". Kill him with all your might. Talk to the hostage and grab the treasure from the chests. Step on the glowing grate to teleport back to the beginning. Return to the tavern. Talk to the same man again to claim your reward. Do during Shadowmire quest Find the missing Girl - To get this on your list enter the Shadowmire and talk to the man just after the waterfall. To complete this is easy. You have to complete it to proceed on to find the rune, hence it is just right on the way. Just remember to talk to the man by the waterfall again when you return. Do during Shadowmire quest Find the Earth Blade - This doesn't get put on your list but at least you get a really good weapon out of it. Talk to the man in the Shadowmire after you rescue him from being electrocuted. Then walk through the water until you find a platform with stone pillars surrounding it. Step on the symbol and watch a cut scene. Then enter the doorway and take the sword. Kill the four skeletons and leave the cave. Do during any time in Surdana Investigate the evil in the brotherhood - Go to the Church of the Brotherhood and talk to the man sitting at a table on the left. He will tell you some terrible news of the dead walking in the church cellar. Go into the next room to talk to the man standing by the bookcase. Walk inside and save the game. Walk down the stairs and turn left to watch a skeleton come out of its coffin. Then go to the barred door and turn around and walk forward to make the wall explode. Go in the new passage and down the stairs. Continue through the catacombs and down some more stairs, the torches will get blown out causing it to be sort of hard to see inside. Continue through. Pull the lever on the right to open the barred door. Go inside the once locked room. Kill the skeletons on both sides and jump the chasm. Make sure you have nothing equipped. Pull yourself up to get on the other side. Turn left and go up some stairs to a room with some flames. You will be trapped in the room with no light and a bunch of almost never ending skeletons. Kill them all and exit out the door you didn't enter. Then kill the next set of skeletons and go into the next door in which you will watch the floor break apart. Drop down and move to the left edge. Where it gets the closest to the next ledge, jump to it. Then move towards the door and jump up to the next ledge. Then climb up onto the ledge with the door. Enter the door and go straight ahead to take the treasures. Then go through the door on the left. You will then see a cut scene and fight a big skeleton. Take his sword and leave the catacombs. Talk to the monk you first talked to so you can claim your reward. Do after you complete the evil brotherhood quest Kill the Necromancer - After you finish the evil brotherhood quest you can visit Jade in her tower and get it added to the list. Fly to the northwest corner of the island to find the hideout. Enter the structure and go up the ramp. Step on the teleporter to go on. You will be teleported to a whole new dimension. Go down the dirt ramp and onto the land. Skeletons will start popping up out of the ground and attacking you. Kill them and continue. Cross the bridge and fight more skeletons. Then when you drop to some more land the necromancer will start talking to you. Kill the skeletons and jump the pit of the bridge. Then as you go through the graveyard kill the skeletons. Avoid the necromancer because for now he is invulnerable. Don't go into the cave yet, instead look at all the trees and look for a sword stuck in one. From the cave entrance it is to the right in between two other trees right before the graves start up. Take the sword and enter the cave. Inside you will find the real body of the necromancer. First kill the skeletons that burst out the wall, then get in there hole and shoot arrows at the floating body. When you kill it, it will regain strength and the necromancer's invulnerable body will smash through the wall. Continue to kill the floating body from within the hole. Then kill the necromancer just like you killed the Inquisitor. Run into the next room and snatch the gravestone. Step on the teleporter. Get on the dragon and fly to the white glowing orb to get him a new power. Then go back to Jade and get a reward. Do during any time in Surdana Giant Chicken Golden Egg - This isn't really an Optional Quest but just some easy money. Fly to the southeast section of the island. There will be some spike launchers and a cave. Turn around and look at the river. See the T shape it makes straight ahead of that is a little cave which is just a pile of dirt when looking at it. Enter this cave to see the giant chicken. Kill it for a golden egg worth one thousand dollars. Must be in the Andrellian Isles Destroy the catapults - When you first reach the Andrellian Isles a sailor will ask you to use the dragon to destroy them. Just fly over the river and shoot the catapults until they explode. Must be in the Andrellian Isles Return to Kegan - Just fly right back over the river after completing the Destroy the catapults mission and talk to him for your reward. Must be in the Andrellian Isles Recover the Captain's charts - To put this on your list talk to the captain on the ship at the end of the Outpost island. Now get on Arokh and look at your map. See the large indention at the north. Then right below it is a small indention, go to this one and you will find a cave. Enter it, Make your way to the end. You must run and jump to the other edge to continue. Then climb on the crates and jump to the other side. Then at the end grab the charts and go through the exit on the right. Return to the captain and get your reward. While in Ravenshold The Hoarfrost Bow - As you are searching for Ravenshold there is a cave on the right where spike launchers shoot at you. Go in it. Make your way around you will eventually see a barrier DON'T TOUCH IT!. Off the other side is the bow which you can't reach yet. Continue past all this into the next area. Run around the ruins to find some explosive barrels. Shoot them with an arrow or something and fall down the hole. Touch the tile and it will deactivate the barrier and make an invisible bridge. Cross it to get the bow. Now exit the cave. While in Ravenshold Clineschmidt's Blade - Just across the bridge from the last cave is a statue, walk up to it. This statue has four buttons on it serving as a puzzle. To figure out the puzzle on your own you must fly around the land and find statues with the same markings as the other one to figure out the order. Or just CHEAT and read this. The order is S,E,E,W,S,N,N,S. To figure out which switch is north look at the switches, when the compass arrow is facing down then that switch is the north one. If done correctly the gate behind the statue will rise allowing you to enter. Save your game and jump into the water. Quickly swim to the bottom and search through the underwater cave. The hole on the first right is just the exit when you get the weapon, so just get some air and go left. The next hole leads you to the weapon, walk into the ankle deep water to the red circle path, open the chest and take the sword, you will then be attacked by some skeletons. Kill them all and the defenses will drop. Now leave the cave. In Surdana after opening the first gate Kill Snotmaw and get the lightning blade - Get this on your list by talking to the general right after the cut scene of you going through the dragons' gate. Fly over to the dot in the southeast on your map. With the dragon walk through the cave. Save your game and continue onward. Fly to the middle pillar of smoke. NOTE ON YOUR WAY TO IT THERE IS A BLACK WING NEST ON THE RIGHT, WHICH IS EXACTLY OPPOSITE OF WHERE THE RESTING BLACK WING DRAGON IS. TAKE THE TWO EGGS. Continue to the smoke and continue past until you see a "STONE HENGE". As Rynn go down the path making the blocks light up and kill the skeletons. Then take the sword from the alter. There is another nest on the west side of the mountain range. Look at the map. In the middle where there are three rocks almost lined up on the far left one is a somewhat hidden dragon's nest. Collect the eggs. Now enter the cave and take the lift down. Then stay to the right wall in the tunnel to avoid the fireballs. Then take the next lift down. Go across the bridge and SAVE your game manually. This part is tricky. You must run to the indent on the right and duck by holding X so you won't get killed by the spikes. Then make it through the tunnel to the other side. Go through the next tunnel and take a left down the stairs. Kill the monsters and collect the treasure, then go up the stairs and go straight across and up the stairs. Watch out for the holes in the floor. Go to the left and down the stairs. Take the treasure and go back up and straight across the hall. Go up the stairs and into the dungeon area. When you push one of the buttons to open the prison door run to the opposite side so you don't get crushed by the ceiling, it should kill the enemy inside the cage for you. There is nothing else in here but to play with the two locked up guys. Now go back down the stairs, turn left and go down more stairs. Turn right and go down two sets of stairs. Then kill the big creature with either arrows or magic. When you exit the ruins a gate will drop behind you trapping you on this side. Climb up the hill. Cross the bridge and enter the tunnel. You will then be trapped in a fighting arena set up against another large beast that is going to try to kill you. After you kill the monster a creature yells "NOW YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH ME" A wortok will run out of the crowd and come through the tunnel straight ahead of your entrance. This is Snotmaw (You can tell because of the crowds cheering) kill him. Take the weapon Snotmaw leaves behind. Take the lift up to get some more treasure. Then take it back down and continue on through the cave. Save your game before attempting to jump from platform to platform. When you make it to the other side walk along the wall. Then take the lift up to the exit. Return to the Alchemist to sell the eggs you hopefully gotten because you can never go back to that land. Now go back to the general. After opening the second gate but before opening the third gate Flip those Switches!!!! - If you haven't flipped the switch in the spider cellar yet here is how to get to it. Go into the cellar, turn right in the first room. Go down the stairs and attack the right wall where it is pressed in a little. Flip the switch and go upstairs. Go to the door next to the bed and flip the switch. Now across the street to the blacksmith shop. Go around the boxes and enter the door to pull the lever. Then as part of the main plot to the game go to the castle when searching for something and go into the cellar. When in the first cellar room with barrels attack the indented wall in the corner. Flip the switch that is deep inside. This opens a door in the opposite wing of the castle for a lot of gold. Immediately after opening the second gate in the North lands The Ice Blade - Go back to Shiverbane with your dragon and fly north of the arena and look for a lighthouse with a blue fire next to it. Then turn so the compass points left. Enter the cave down there, it's the one you were forced into a trap on. Take the same path as you did before when you were captured. Pass the now stale floor and collect the treasure. DON'T STEP ON THE TELEPORTER!! Continue down the hall. At the end is the Ice Blade. When you take it four skeletons rise from the ground to attack you. Now leave the cave and through the portal back to your main quest. Immediately when you enter the valley The Fire Blade - Go to the part that goes to the south the most. You should see ruins there along with the good old sword pedestal. Run inside and kill the good old skeletons. Then when you get the three giant stones to light up three small stones will appear on the pedestal. Take them. Go back to the tunnel to Surdana and turn around again. Fly to the part where it bends and goes to the right. There will be some ruins guarded by the Grulls kill them and go inside the ruins. There is a stone stand where you can place on of the three stones. Do so and get flying to the Bartok Base. Inside find where there are crates stacked like stairs near the cage. Climb it by doing back flips and then jump to the ledge. Pull yourself up and walk over to the pedestal. Place the stone in the right place and watch the stone glow. Now exit the cave. Fly over to the lower ruins. Go through the side door and go through until you reach a graveyard. Then go to the right in here and place the stone. Then leave and go to the ruins near the beginning of the desert. Take the Flame Blade. Six assassins will then attack you, kill them or run and take it along with the three other element blades to the blacksmith in Surdana for the games best weapon!!!!!! 3.2 Codes You shouldn't really need these but if you do here they are. While in the game press and hold in THIS ORDER L1, R2, L2, R1.
