There are four different kinds of bars. The red ones are the easiest to find, while the brown ones are hardest to find. Of course, red is worth less than brown. The bars give you skill points, which can later be used for upgrading your character in the garage. Characters ---------- There are four playable characters in Metal Slug 3D. Each and one of them are unlocked by completing certain missions. When you earn skill-points, these are not shared between the characters, nor are the medals. The Slug upgrades are however shared. Each mission is the same place for all of the characters, but they start out at different locations, and face different enemies. This means, the game is pretty long. CDs --- Oh yes, the CDs (Compact Discs) you find scattered throughout the game are very important. These discs make new parts for your Slug available in the Laboratory Section (in the Garage menu). Some of the discs can only be collected by certain members of your crew, so prepare for some backtracking to missions you've already completed with other characters. CDs won't be lots if you die, and press continue. Rankings -------- Rankings are back. "S" is the best one, while "A" is better than "B", and "C" is better than "D". You get the point. To earn good rankings, you need to complete missions fastest possible, while not dying, and at the same time you need to save as many prisoners, and kill as many enemies as you can. Life is tough. Oh, bars do not count for or against your ranking. Outside of gameplay elements ---------------------------- Since the earlier games were developed as arcade games, there was no need to include more to the game than what happened from the point you inserted a credit to the point you died. In this game however, there is a fairly deep system where you can upgrade your characters' abilities, unlock new characters, earn medals, view 3D renders of weapons and customize slugs. ================================================================ I.2 Frequently Asked Questions {IN002} ================================================================ Question: Your "AREAS" don't match with the games "CHECKPOINTS". Answer: I am very well aware of this. In this FAQ, a new area is listed each time you go through a "NEXT" sign in the game. - Question: Is there multiplayer in Metal Slug 3D? Answer: No, there is only singleplayer. - Question: What characters are playable? Answer: Marco, Tarma, Eri and Fio. - Question: I can only play as Marco!! Answer: You need to unlock the other characters. Look at the playable characters section. - Question: You keep talking about a "Slug". What is a Slug? Answer: It's a vehicle you can drive. - Question: Is General Morden in this game? Answer: He sure is. - Question: The organization from Metal Slug 5, is it in Metal Slug 3D? Answer: No, your enemies are Morden's troops, the classic soldiers. - Question: So.. how is the shooting handled in this game? Answer: Most weapons have a lock-on aim, where you hold the shoulder button, and use the square button to shoot. Some weapons, mainly projectile weapons, require manual aiming. - Question: Can you carry several weapons at once? Answer: Yes, you can carry all the weapons you've collected, and shift through them as you wish. - Question: Why is the Rocket Launcher so useless? Answer: The [R] is a great weapon. Use it at long range. It is also very powerful - Question: What is your favorite weapon, snkupo? Answer: Wow, people ask about a weapon of choice all the time. My favorite is the [H]. I also like the handgun for some challenge! - Question: Why don't you tell me what weapon to use all the time?? Answer: Every single gamer has his or her own favorite Besides, how do you suppose I should know if you have any ammunition for your xxxxx left? - Question: I run out of ammo all the time! Answer: Then go back to a mission you've already completed, and collect more. Also, do not waste good weapons on weak enemies. - Question: How do I unlock the Slug Gunner? Answer: The Slug Gunner is a mecha that will replace your Super Vehicle 001 Slug if you equip all the Gunner parts in the game. The gunner parts are Gunner Core, Gunner Cannon, Gunner Legs and Gunner Arm. - Question: Why do I always die at Eri's missions?? Answer: The developers made Eri's missions much harder than Marco, Tarma and Fio's missions. Ask them why. I like it. Eri is a girl of caliber! ================================================================ II.1: Controlling your Soldiers {BA001} ================================================================ Square - Shooting Cross - Jumping Triangle - Knife Circle - Grenades/Confirm R1 - Lock-on aim L1 - Center camera R3 - Quick turn L3 - Enter/Exit Slug R2 + Circle - Change primary weapon L2 + Circle - Change secondary weapon L3 + R3 - Slug Self-Destruction Dpad - Camera Right stick - Camera/aim Left stick - Move ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ================================================================ II.2: Documentation of [Codes] {BA002} ================================================================ In this document, I use weird symbols in tags. Symbols like these have been used since ancient times. Heed their appearance. Here is an explanation: [H] - Heavy Machine-Gun [S] - Shotgun [I] - Iron Lizard [AS] - Ammunition Supply [SN] - Sniper Rifle [FS] - Flameshot [C] - Enemy Chaser [R] - Rocket Launcher [SG] - Super Grenade (Icon in game is a "G") [L] - Lasergun [G] - Grenades [FB] - Firebomb [MONO] - Monolith [ST] - Stone [MED] - Medkit [RB] - Red Bar [BB] - Blue Bar [GB] - Golden Bar [SLVB] - Silver Bar [CD] - Compact Disc ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ================================================================ II.3: Hints and Field Techniques {BA003} ================================================================ This is a collection of hints and techniques you should read through if you are facing difficulty or just want to get information about the gameplay of Metal Slug 3D. 0: Metal Slug 3D uses a random spawn system for several items that are dropped from enemies. This means that providing an absolute perfect walkthrough is impossible. For example, one time you kill a soldier, he might drop a [BB]. The next time you kill him, he might not drop anything. 1: Do not use your good weapons like [H] [S] [R] etc. unless you absolutely have to. For example, it is a very stupid thing to do if you use all your [H] bullets just before a big horde of enemies come at you, or if you use all your [G] before a boss. 2: Use your knife as often as you can; it saves ammo. Watch out for enemies using knives as well. 3: Before entering a Slug, check if there are nearby enemies. If there is, try to kill them before entering the slug. It's easier to take fast damage the few seconds after you've entered the Slug. 4: Do not blast around you at all times; many hidden paths require you to jump on crates that can be destroyed if you are not careful enough. 5: Your handgun has unlimited ammunition. Shoot as much as you need to. Just watch your fingers, they might break! 6: You do not need to press the R1 each time you want to use the Lock-on aim. Just press and hold the button, and you will lock on to incoming enemies. 7: Explosions from vehicles do not hurt you, but explosions from for example barrels do damage, so watch out. 8: You can replay missions you've completed whenever you want to, and your ammunition and weapons from earlier will be useable in any mission you choose to play. 9: You can't swim. Avoid water. 10: No matter what enemies you are facing, run all the time. In circles, backwards, forwards, you name the direction. 11: Remember that you can use grenades. They pack quite a lot of power. 12: If you are about to die, search for nearby prisoners that might reward you with a [MED]. Also look for slugs you can hide in. 13: Firebomb is very good against vehicles. Save them up! 14: Collect all the Gunner parts to unlock the Slug Gunner, a mecha type slug - the best slug in the game. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ================================================================ II.4: Weapon Documentation {BA004} ================================================================ Knife: Extremely powerful, but you have to go into close range of the enemy. Not effective against vehicles. When the knife is equipped, you do rolls instead of jumps if you've locked your aim on an enemy. Handgun: This is the weapon you'll never loose. Press the shooting button once for each shot, but shoot as many times as you would like to. Not very powerful or fast, but good to take out soldiers with. Lock-on aim enabled. Good at long range. Heavy Machine Gun: One of my all time favorites. This weapon is more powerful than the handgun, and fires very fast. Excellent to take out many soldiers at once, or destroy vehicles that don't have too heavy Armour, for example cars. Lock-on aim enabled. Useable at long rage. Flameshot: This is a good old flamethrower. Very good against vehicles and Soldiers. Great on undead creatures and shielded soldiers. Shotgun: A very powerful weapon that is also very slow. However, it is of the best weapons you can use if you are not completely surrounded by enemies. Very good to take out tanks and vehicles with heavy Armour. Lock-on aim enabled. Extremely useless at long rage. Sniper Rifle: This is the first time in the series that a sniper weapon is available. For a rifle, the sniper is very fast, and has a very good scope you can use to aim at enemies far away. Iron Lizard: Projectiles keeping to the ground. Very effective against undead creatures, as well as tanks. Do not waste them on regular soldiers, but fire at shielded ones. Rocket Launcher: Also a very powerful weapon. As the shotgun, this weapon is also very slow, but is effective against soldiers, as it can kill many of them with one blow. Also good against vehicles, but watch out as it is a very slow weapon. Lock-on aim enabled. Better than the Shotgun at long rage. Super Grenade: Good old weapon first introduced in Metal Slug 3. The Super Grenade is not a grenade, but rather a stronger Rocket Launcher. It is one of the most powerful weapons in the game, but does not have a auto-aim. Use it at bosses and vehicles. Lasergun: Aim at your opponent and hold down fire button. Very good accuracy, and powerful as well. Use it against vehicles. Enemy Chaser: Launches torpedo missiles towards your target. Very fast, but not as powerful as Rocket Launcher. Grenades: Secondary weapon. Grenades should be used against vehicles, as they are pretty powerful. They can also be lobbed to reach areas you can't hit using other weapons. I would recommend saving up as many as possible in each Mission and use them at the bosses. Lock-on aim enabled, short range only. Fire Bomb: A grenade that blows up to flames when it hits its target. Effective against all kinds of enemies. One of the best weapons against enemy vehicles. If you throw it at ground covered in snow, nothing happens. Smoke Bomb: A grenade that produces smoke. Enemies are blinded. Stone: Similar to grenades, but cause heavy impact instead of explosions. Monolith: Monolith is a grenade type weapon with unlimited ammo. It is unlocked by completing Final Mission. If you have played Metal Slug 3, you will be familiar with the ancient tablets that are summoned from above once you throw a monolith! Very, very powerful! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ================================================================ II.5: Enemy Documentation {BA005} ================================================================ Soldiers: Soldiers are General Morden's standard employees. There are lots of them in the game, so happily they can usually be taken down with one gunshot, or a touch of your combat-knife. Soldiers have a red ribbon on their arm, and will try to use their knife to kill you if you get to close to them. At longer range they will throw grenades. Soldiers are often lazy, and slack off their work to talk with each other instead. Shielded Soldiers: These mercenaries look like the usual soldiers, but carry a large shield in front of them. As a regular practice, they will use their handgun to fire at you. Their shield can take several shots, so use your knife on them instead! Suicidal Bikers: The suicidal bikers are soldiers that ride on motorcycles. They will charge towards you and try to hit you. If they don't hit you, the will do a jump and blow themselves up. In order to destroy one of these, several shots are required. Balloon Soldiers: Soldiers that ride air balloons. They circle slowly above you and will try to hit you with one of their falling clusters. The balloons are very easy to shoot down. A few bullets and they're down facing the dirt. Blue Suits: Men with blue suits. They have a weapon that can be used to shoot with, and used as a shield as well. They only appear at the end of the game. Undead Zombies: Undead warriors with yellow helmets of gold and big sharp swords. Very hard to kill with only the handgun. Flameshot or knife recommended. Acid Zombies: Similar to the Suicide Bikers, but these are walking undead creatures that will change color and explode into deadly hazard. Special Forces: Much harder to kill than any other soldier. The Special Forces are very fast, attack at the same time as other comrades, and pack lots of Armour. Use a powerful weapon! Ancient Guardians: Big solid statues that can walk. Suddenly, they might jump high up in the air and try to land on you. Run around all the time when these are close. Not too much Armour, considering the size. 88 M-4281 Tank: These are tanks that are yellow, and often use their big cannon to fire at you. Their bullets aren't too fast, but come at you two at once. The tank has solid Armour The 88 often kills it's own allies as it drives over them. 2-Launcher: A pretty common tank. It drives on trails, and is armed with a huge cannon that has four holes. It shoots big missiles pretty fast, and has a considerable amount of Armour It can fire at long distances, so take it out fast! 2-Tank: Can be mistaken for being the 88 M-4281, but this tank is colored green, and shoots clusters from its cannon instead of twin projectiles. 33-Tank: A huge tank with a very long cannon. These tanks are fearsome vehicles that fire extremely fast, and pack lots of power. Stay far away when dealing with them. Tower-Tank: A tall tank which drops rolling bullets down on the ground. They are usually easy to take out, as their bullets are moving slow. Heavy armored Flame-Tank: A tank with a mounted flamethrower. It also throws grenades at you. Lots of Armour on these ones. 105 Panzer-Vehicle: A small tank controlled by one soldier. It is armed with a small cannon, and has massive panzer-Armour at front. Use your grenades, shotgun or rocket launcher for quick progress. Cannon Car: This one has no official name. It is a very tiny car with a soldier inside. It shoots missiles at you from the cannon on its roof. The soldier inside will never go out of the car. It does not have very much Armour, but can fire at long distance. M3 Car: M3 cars are launching parachute-missiles from its roof. To easily recognize the car, you can take a look at the Boss in Mission 1, Area 2. They are fairly easy to take out, just run around it while shooting at it with any weapon. Turrets: There are many types of turrets. Flaming ones, flying ones, and plain usual ones. They are mounted guns that shoot without any soldiers operating them. Green Spider: Mechanical spiders fire several projectiles at once, but as their range is pretty small, they aren't all that dangerous. Keep at good range and you'll be OK Blue Spider: A spider that is armed with a automatic Vulcan type instead of projectiles. Dogs: Ghostly dogs that breathe dangerous acid and jump towards you at a high speed. Fish: Flying fish that appear in various missions. They are a Lotte hard to spot, so be careful. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ================================================================ II.6: Slugs {BA006} ================================================================ A slug is vehicle you can ride and use in Metal Slug 3D. There are several, the most usual one is the Super Vehicle 001. They can be upgraded in the laboratory, and equipped in the Slug Customize section. To earn upgrades, you need to collect CDs in the missions. See own sections for information about the location of the CDs, price of the upgrades and so on. Super Vehicle 001 aka Metal Slug: This is a tank with a customizable cannon, as well a Vulcan. The Vulcans fire very rapidly, while the cannon is slow but strong. Super Vehicle 001 has been in the Metal Slug series since the very first game in the series. You do not need to unlock it. Slug Flyer aka Plane: The plane is not a Slug you can suddenly jump into whenever you feel like. It's available in one mission, that's it. You can't exit it. The plane is armed with good firepower. Namely Vulcan and cannon. Slug Mariner aka Submarine: Just like the plane, this is a mission-bound Slug. It is armed with similar weapons. Think plane, only under water. Slug Gunner: When equipping all the Gunner parts you've found in the various missions (Gunner Core, Gunner Cannon, Gunner Legs and Gunner Arms) your slug will transform into the Slug Gunner, a mecha that was first introduced in Metal Slug 5. The Slug Gunner can float in mid-air for some seconds, moves fast, has a cannon similar to Super Grenade, and has Armour similar to sloping Armour The best slug in the game. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ================================================================ II.7: Playable Characters {BA007} ================================================================ Here, a translation of the official profiles will soon appear, along with more information and hints. CTRL + F is your friend, just as I am. ================================================================ IV.M1: Marco Mission 1 {WAM001} ================================================================ + AREA 1 You start at a big hill. Destroy the two crates around you to get two [GB]. Now jump down from the hill, and shoot the soldier waiting for you. Proceed towards the house on your right and kill three soldiers that come towards you. There is a crate to the right of the house's door, jump on top of it, and hop onto the platform to the right. Collect the four [RB], as well as the [GB] in the barrel at the end of the platform. Get back to the house's entrance, and destroy the nearby car, and kill the soldiers guarding it. Save Prisoner 1, and get a [H], as well as the [RB] behind the now destroyed car. Now, follow the nearby waterstream to the back of a nearby house. Three [RB] hide inside some bottles, and a prisoner gives you a [BB] for saving him. Get out of the "backyard". Now you should see the yellow "NEXT" sign up the stairs in front of you. Run towards it. You will now get trapped within a red zone, so kill all the soldiers charging at you. This can easily be done with your handgun. When the red zone is gone, walk to the left and collect seven [RB]. There is another [RB] inside the barrel on this path as well. Continue to the end of the path, blow up one of the two crates that are on top of each other, and jump up one level to save another prisoner. A tank will come out of the mine, so destroy it using some grenades. You will be rewarded with a [H]. Backtrack to where the two crates stood on top of each other. You should see a house from here. Collect the three [BB] to the right of the house, and kill any soldier in your way. Shoot at the house's door to save yet another prisoner. You will be rewarded with a [GB]. Now, take the path to the right from where the red zone appeared earlier. Collect the four [RB] on the path and walk up the stairs. On the top, several soldiers as well as a rifle-trooper awaits you. Make quick progress in killing them. Save the prisoner to get a [GB]. There are several explosive barrels as well as some crates here. Walk far enough away so that you aren't damaged, and blast them. Collect all the red bars that came out of the explosive barrels and crates. Now, open the door of the house in front of you and kill the soldiers. Get the three [RB] at the right of the door. Now, backtrack and exit the area through the "NEXT" sign. ----- + AREA 2 Sink the boat in the water straight forward. Destroy the fish barrel to your right and take the [H] and the [RB]. Now, enter the cave to the left of where you entered Area 2.There are two [BB] in the crates just inside the cave. Kill the soldiers shooting at you, and take out the fish barrel in the middle of the room. Make sure you hit the explosives at the platforms to get a [BB]. To hit the explosives, just don't use lock-on aim. Now exit the room and grab the four [RB] on the ground at the cave's exit. Shoot as many soldiers as you can without going too close. Now, run to the location the soldiers were at, and kill the ones that are talking on the path to your left. There are barrels with two [BB] as well as some grenades on this path. Move to the bridge and get the three [RS], and save the prisoner for some [MED]. Walk over the bridge and face the first boss in the game. ----- ++ Marco BOSS 1 This is the same car that shoots projectiles from its roof as the ones that appear in for example Metal Slug 3. It has some backup from nearby soldiers. First, ignore the boss and run around the area while destroying all the crates and barrels you can see to get four [RB] and one [BB].Save the two prisoners to get [MED] and [H]. Now take out all the soldier in the area using knife or gun, and then blow up the tank that has appeared, and eventually use grenades and [H] on the boss. Heavy running in circles is advised. --MISSION 1 COMPLETE ================================================================ IV.M2: Marco Mission 2 {WAM002} ================================================================ + AREA 1 First, enter the slug waiting for you. Use the lock-on aim to shoot at the two nearby cars using both Vulcan and cannon. Now, a enemy tank will attack. Keep yourself at distance, and shoot at it using both the slug's weapons. Soldiers will also attack you, but they can easily be crushed by ramming into them or shot using the Vulcan Now, destroy the third car to get a [H]. The next step is to get out of your slug, as you will be targeted by Suicide Bikers. Avoid them as they attack you, and prepare to shoot down the attacking helicopter using your [H]. Now, depending on what you feel like, either destroy the two tanks that are in front of you with the Slug's weapons, or do it on foot using [H] and eventually [G]'s. Now, continue running forward without the Slug, as there are more Suicide Bikers to avoid and destroy. [H] is recommended. There is also a tank waiting after the Suicide Bikers. You should find it easy to destroy it. Behind the tank, there are some soldiers, as well as some explosive barrels. Shoot at the barrels to trigger a big explosion. Now, save the two prisoners that are sitting where the barrels where earlier. They will reward you with one [R] and one [MED]. Pick up the three [RB] as well. Backtrack a little, and run to Area 2. Area 1 can also be done without even touching the Slug, but you want to save ammo, right? ----- + AREA 2 You will see a tank if front of you, but instead of attacking it, walk to the left and destroy the car behind the bushes. Also pick up five [BB] as well as a [MED] if you need it. Watch out for the soldiers that will try to knife you to death. Ok, now you can worry about the tank you saw earlier. Use your [H], as well as one or two grenades in order to destroy both the tank and the few soldiers that are defending it. Now, while shooting at the soldiers that are still around, pick up the five [RB] that are lying on the stairs to your right. If you need ammo, select your favorite weapon (provided that you've got it in your inventory) and walk to the left of the stairs. There is a [AS] there. On the right side of the stair, another car is waiting for you. What's more important is that in the crates, there are many [RB]. Use your knife on the crates and collect them all. Now, walk up the stairs, and into the building. Red Wall time! Soldiers will approach, but instead of shooting at them, try hitting one of the explosive barrels instead. Now, with the soldiers dead, target the two turrets that are hanging from the ceiling behind the red wall. Destroy them, and walk closer to the red wall. Now, use [H] to destroy the tank down at the floor. Strafe left/right like crazy while shooting. The red wall will vanish. Run down the small stairs for three [RB]. At the end of the stairs, you get a [S]. Equip the [S] and walk out of the doors. Now, destroy the car, the soldiers around it, as well as the two Shielded Soldiers that are blocking your path. Turn around and walk in the opposite direction. A prisoner is being hidden behind a wall, and so are two crates with two [BB] in them. The prisoner will give you a [MED]. Now you can continue to the place where lots of crates are standing high up in the air. Destroy them, and you will see a 2-Launcher. Ignore all the soldiers, and run in circles around the 2-Launcher while shooting at it using [S]. The red wall will disappear, and you can continue to Area 3. ----- + AREA 3 This is a hot area. Select your [H] and shoot the tank in front of you while being at a good distance. Now target the nearby soldiers, and collect the [H] that the tank dropped. Behind the tank, there are five [RB]. Now, shoot at the door of the bank behind you. Enter and save a prisoner for a [SLVB]. To your right, there are two [BB]. To your left, there are four [RB]. Now exit the bank. Run into the building with two [BB] in front of it. Don't go too far in, as there is a soldier and a flame turret in there. Destroy these, and save the prisoner here for a [MED]. Now, outside again, Shoot and throw grenades at the 2-Launcher. When it has been blown up, go for the two cars, and then the turret. Lots of soldiers will now approach from the road. One or two grenades is enough to kill them. Now, walk up the small stairs. A prisoner with an [AS] is hiding to the left. Down on the road again continue and collect the four [GB]. Shoot the turret at the end of the path. Continue to the boss. ----- ++ Marco BOSS 2 The weapon of choice here is a [H] for the helicopter and a [S] for the units on the ground. Start off with the tank and the 2- Launcher Blow them up with your [S] and kill the soldiers around them using your Knife. Now, a [H] will drop. Use if at the helicopter. Be aware that it is easier to hit it when you are far away from it. A good trick it to shoot at it while running backwards. If it starts shooting at you, strafe to one of your sides while jumping. It has quite some Armour, so unload a bunch of bullets. --MISSION 2 COMPLETE ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ================================================================ IV.M3: Marco Mission 3 {WAM003} ================================================================ + AREA 1 Start by taking out the balloon in the sky above you. In front of you, there is a yellow cloth on the wall. Jump on it to get onto the roof. Once there, go to the right and save the prisoner here for a CD. Get down again from where you came. Once on the ground again, run forward and blow up the tank, and kill the soldier that comes out of a house. A new balloon will come, blow it up. Now, proceed towards all the crates. Do not destroy them. Kill the enemies on top of them and jump up the crates to save a prisoner, and get rewarded with a [S] . Shoot the soldier below you, and jump down. save the prisoner for a [SLVB]. Now, take out the tank that is waiting for you. Soldiers will also attack you, but concentrate on the tank. After it's destroyed, take out the soldiers, blow up their car and save the two nearby prisoners for one [MED] and one [BB]. There are a few soldiers left, kill them to get the red wall removed. Now, your Slug will come from an helicopter. Do not enter it yet. Backtrack to where you came from. The road is almost blocked now, but you should be able to jump over the obstacle in the way. Blow up all the crates. There is a [RB] in each of them. Continue forward and save the prisoner for a [R]. There are three [BB] close to him as well. Now, take the only fork in the road, and take out the crates you meet. There are three prisoners hidden behind them. Rewards are [G] [H] and [AS]. Jump on the parasol-like cover on a nearby house, enter the Slug and exit area. ---- + AREA 2 Use the cannon to blow away the soldiers and two tanks in front of you. Continue straight forward and take the fork to the right. Prisoner with [SLVB] is hiding here. If you take the left fork, you can get a [H] by entering the destroyed building there. Now, Go in the opposite direction into the big open area. Take out the soldiers, and save the prisoner sitting at the ruins for a [MED]. Continue to the next big open area. There is a small blockade, but you can run over it with your slug. A red wall will appear. Save the two prisoners you see at the ruins for a [R] and some [GAS]. A car with soldiers on will come into the area. Take it out with your cannon. Now, three tanks will enter. Make them burn with your cannon, just as you did with the car. Now, if you need repair, take the [GAS] in the area, if you have not already done so. You will see a big door made out of metal in the direction the three tanks came from. You can not enter it, so turn left from the door instead. A car will come into the area; take it out with the cannon as usual. Now, exit the slug, and take out the helicopter in the air using [H]. Before going to the EXIT, save the prisoner to the right of the door for a [R]. Exit area. ---- + AREA 3 Take the fork to the right and destroy the crates for one [RB], one [BB] and one [GB]. Ignore the crates that lie on top of each other to your right, and continue forward. Take out the two soldiers. Continue on your path and take out the tanks and the panzer tank. A red wall will disappear. Take the closest fork that leads to the left. Pick up three [BB], destroy the crates, as well as the explosive one for a [BB], [GB], [RB] and a [SLVB]. Take out the soldiers here as well if you want to survive. You are now at the end of the path, and a tank will try to make meatballs out of you. Destroy it. Behind it, there are lots of crates. This is also where you will find a [CD]. Other items in the crates are [RB], [MED], [BB] and [SLVB]. Time to backtrack. Walk back until you get to all the crates you ignored at the start of this area. Jump on them, and enter the roof for a [AS]. Now, you see a prisoner sitting at a neighbour roof. You won't be able to reach him by jumping from your current location, so jump down at the street while facing the prisoner. Walk a little left, and then take first fork to the right. Jump on the yellow marquise that's hanging above one of the buildings doors. Now you can enter another roof! Three helicopters will come towards you! [H] or [S] should make them silent. Now, jump and save the prisoner for a [C]. Ok, jump down from the roof and onto the area with the transport car. Lots upon lots of enemies will go crazy and attack you. Two helicopters, lots of soldiers, tanks and so on. Use the [C] you got to take them out. This is a very hectic situation. When you have killed all of the enemies in the area, be sure to destroy all the crates for more bars. Collect the three [BB] near the EXIT and exit area. ---- + AREA 4 Allright. A soldier will come charging against you with a knife. Take him out. There is also a turret in the ceiling. Blow it up. Now, continue walking further into the building. Around the corner, a turret and several soldiers are waiting for you. The soldiers will jump towards you and try to knife you to death. Don't let them. There are four [GB] here, so get them before taking the [MED] that is hiding in the barrel of the same location. Exit the area. ---- + AREA 2 REVISITED Remember the slug you had earlier in this mission? Sure you do! Go pick it up at the location you got it, and exit the area through the big metal door that was blocked earlier. Boss time! ---- ++ Marco BOSS 3 Start off by shooting the soldiers in the area using your Vulcan When you have done this, use Vulcan or cannon to take out the missile launchers on the left and right sides of the boss. There are two on each side. Now, use the cannon to easily take out the main cannon on the boss. This is very easy, as you don't need to be within the boss's shooting range in order to hit it. When it's dead, you should walk to the left side of the boss and pick up some [G]'s, and save a prisoner for a [MED]. On the right side of the boss, there are some crates with a [RB] and a [BB]. Now, exit area after taking the bars that appeared in front of the exit. ---- + AREA 5 Shoot the soldiers using your gun first. Now, equip the [R] and take out the tower-tanks. If you walk up the stairs, there is a prisoner, so save him. Exit area. ---- + AREA 6 Collect the five [RB] and continue to the open area. Lame ending of mission? Depends on how you look at it. --MISSION 3 COMPLETE ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ================================================================ IV.M4: Marco Mission 4 {WAM004} ================================================================ + AREA 1 Turn around, destroy the crates behind you for two [RB], two [BB] and one [GB]. I will advise you to use the handgun most possible in this mission, as you need ammunition at the boss. Anyways, run forward as kill the soldiers waiting. Destroy the crate they guarded for one [GB]. In the right section of this small area, there are crates, and one of them has a [BB]. Continue forward and destroy the two crates on your right for two [RB]. Now, shoot at the train car you see. It will ram into the enemies at the end of the road and kill them. To be sure it'll hit, you can eventually gun down the two soldiers that are guarding this location. Now, a red wall will appear. Destroy the tank at the other side of the wall in the far end, and take out the flame-turret behind the wall to your right. This turret had a door behind it. Open it, and collect the three [BB] on your way. Kill the two soldiers in this room and collect the three [RB]. Now, walk into the area with fences. The door says "DANGER". There is a flame turret here which you need to take out. Save the prisoner, he gives you a [H] collect the two [RB] and destroy the crate for a [SLVB]. Backtrack out of the fences, but beware of the soldiers that have entered. Do not run like a madman towards them, but wait for them to throw their first grenades at you. Dodge them. Now you can kill them exactly how you would like to kill them. Exit the room. Now, soldiers will be waiting for you. Kill them of, and get the three [RB]. Enter the room they are leading towards. Two soldiers will try to escape, but you know how to teach 'em. Save the prisoner in this room for ten [FB]. Now, destroy every crate in the room. And no, the gas container can NOT be destroyed. One of the crates contains an [AS]. If they haven't entered yet, a bunch of soldiers will enter the room. There's a lot of them, so be careful while strafing and taking them out. Outside of the room, a tank is waiting for you. A few grenades and some gunshots are at their place here. Continue on the main path. Take first fork to the right. Destroy all the crates and collect three [RB], two [GB], one [BB], one [MED] and [CD]. There's some soldiers behind you now, take them out before they use their guns. Now, two tanks will also come forth. Use grenades and a weapon like [H] to take them out. Continue on the path, collect the three [GB]. Watch out for soldiers trying to knife you to death. Kill them. Now, take out the big tank in front of you at a good distance. To your right there are lots of explosives shoot at one of them to destroy some soldiers, as well as a Panzer vehicle. Now, a small turret is hanging from the ceiling, take it, and any remaining soldiers out. Destroy all the crates in the room and save the prisoner. ---- + AREA 2 Allright, destroy the 2-launcher to your left. Take out the explosive crate and collect the three [RB] and the [H]. Be fast and kill the soldiers on the platform here. Collect the [RB] and save the two prisoners the the far left for [C] and [RB]. Turn around and start shooting at the tank that has entered. When you are close enough, knife the shielded soldiers to death. Just don't destroy the crates here that lead up to two platforms. The prisoners up on the platforms will reward you with [FB] and a [CD]. Just make sure the soldiers on the platform the the left in the room are dead, as they will try to shoot at the crates if they aren't taken down fast. If you've got a [SN], taking down any remaining soldiers is an easy job. Take out the first explosive crate, and watch out for the hole in the ground on your right. Collect the four [BB] on your path. Take out all the soldiers in the area, as they are a hassle if you don't do it fast. Now, take out the only 2- Launcher that's on your platform. When you've done that, take out the one on the platform to the right of the one you're standing on. A tank will enter the area, take it out. Now, lots of flying turrets will come. Strafe like a mad cow while shooting them down. If you haven' t done already, save the prisoner on your platform for a [H]. Continue on your path and save the prisoner at the end. He's guarded by three soldiers. He will reward you with a [H]. Continue on the path but watch out for the big hole in the ground. Jump over it and collect the five [BB]. Some soldiers will come attacking you. Take 'em out. Last part of the area is a bunch of soldiers and a tank. One [G] is enough to wipe out the soldiers. The tank can be destroyed with for example a [H]. It will reward you with a [MED] ---- + AREA 3 Mae your way down the stairs while shooting bad guys. At the end of the stairs, save the prisoner for a [H]. Continue forward and collect the four [BB]. Take the right fork and get all the [GB] that are on the floor. To your right, there is a turret and some explosive. Blow them all up and save the prisoner for an [I]. Now, turn around and take out the big Flame-Tank that is shooting at you from the right fork in the road. Behind it there is a prisoner with a [CD]. Turn around an continue going to the right. Take out the two turrets, the shielded soldiers, and get the [I] that is in the crate. Now, a Tower-Tank will enter from the blue wall in front of you. Take it out. To your right, there are some crates. Stand on them and shoot the soldiers and the two tanks in front of you. In the crates there are lots of [RB], and in the barrel here, there is a [MED]. Go back and continue on your path. Take out the soldiers in front of you, and save the prisoner in the end for a [I]. Now, the last part of the area is where you'll meet three Tower-Tanks. Two in front of you, one behind. Stand in the middle of the area, close to the front ones to avoid being hit. Use all the time you want to take out the two front tanks. To do this, you should first take out the turret in the roof. One of the tanks drops [G]. The tank behind you will maybe not even attack you. Take it out for a [MED] and continue. In the following room, shoot at one of the explosive barrels to destroy the tank in the end of the room. Several soldiers will enter the room, so shoot them down. Behind you, a new tank appears. The [R] is a good choice for taking it out. The two prisoners in the end of the room will reward you with [R] and [H]. Be sure to destroy all the crates in the room, and pick up the [MED] and the [AS]. The last mentioned should be used on your [H]! Take the lift to exit area. ---- ++ Marco BOSS 4 At first, the boss will look at you from a camera. Walk around for a few seconds, and it will attack you. Now, the first thing you need to do is shooting down the tentacles it hangs from. Aim upwards and shoot four of them down. The boss will fall down on the ground. Now, watch where the boss will launch its missiles. Dodge by running right/left, and start shooting at the boss. When it stops shooting the missiles at you, jump down towards it and shoot at it in order to avoid the boss's next attack. Be careful, and collect as many items as you can, as several weapons and [MED] will appear close to the boss. Now, the boss escapes and starts shooting electro-beams against you. Stay down in the area you are in, and run in a huge circle to avoid being hit. Shoot at the boss while circling. The boss will now drop down for a short while. When it does, take the lift and go up on the platforms. Shoot its tentacles again. It is also possible to shoot at the tentacles without taking the lift up again. Repeat all this until you are victorious. --MISSION 4 COMPLETE ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ================================================================ IV.M5: Marco Mission 5 {WAM005} ================================================================ + AREA 1 Scary place you appeared in, right? Anyway, blow up the crates to your right for [FB] and [RB]. Check out the area behind your starting point. There is a [CD] in a small barrel. Has to be the easiest to find disc in the game. Now, exit this small room and go up the small stairs in front of you. Get the [H] from a barrel to your right, and start taking out undead zombies. A good tip is to use the knife on them. I also like gathering them all and tossing grenades at them. If you are steady on your hand, the knife is excellent as well. If you are to use your handgun, you'll spend too much time for a "S" rank. When you've taken out all the nearby foes, continue running the only way possible. More zombies will appear, so take them out. Collect the [MED] and two [RB] on the right side of the path and continue running and taking out zombies, as well as acid zombies, until you get the "OK" message. Now, walk up the stairs you see. Lots of zombies will spawn. Kill 'em all, and gather the [RB]'s that are in this small area, as well as the [F] on the small stand to your right. Watch out for the zombies on the stand. Continue, and pick up two [GB] and a [MED] close to a door opening. Instead of taking the left fork in the road, go to the right and collect two [RB] and a [AS] from the crates here. If you want another [RS], take out the four crates at the end of the path. Watch out for several zombies that are trapped in there, though. Now, take the left fork you skipped a few moments ago. Take out the two acid zombies from a long range, and save the prisoner that is being hidden close to the stairs for a [S]. Go up the stairs after taking out another batch of zombies. A red wall will appear yet again. Arm yourself with a good weapon, like the [S] and start blasting away the zombies and the two big statues. You might get hit once, as this is a tricky situation. Keep jumping and running to avoid it. Now, the barrels spread around in this room contain [RB]'s [SLVB] and [C]. Continue to the next area. ---- + AREA 2 Another tricky situation in this area. Equip the [R] and start blasting everything that moves towards you. With the [R] only, you should be able to hold all the statues off, and destroy them. When they are all down, search the room for remaining enemies. Kill them off to get a "OK" message. In the barrels in this room, [MED], [F] and [BB] are hidden. Now, continue and jump up the huge stairs. Take out the statues here using the [R], and deal with the zombies using your knife. on top of one of the crates, there is another [CD]. Before going to the room that takes you one floor up, collect the [SLVB], [G], and [MED] that can be found in the barrels placed in the edges of this floor. Continue up to the next floor, using the room with stairs in. There is only one room you can enter from your location, and the one with stair in is the correct one. Once you're on the next floor, go right and save the prisoner here for a [S]. Now, take the left fork instead and take the [MED] in the barrel that lies in the closest corner. Don't forget to kill zombies using the [S], [H] or [F]. If you haven't already, take out the statue(s) that may appear using the [R]. One of the statues has a [H]. Blast your way through the crates in your way. Continue your killing- spreed until you reach the entrance you can see after blasting away the crates I mentioned. If you want to spend more time here for an [AS], walk all around the highest floor and jump on the crate there to catch the [AS] and some bars. A red zone will appear once you've entered the entrance. Continue, and you'll meet some soldiers again. Thank god. Take them out with your gun and continue. Several new soldiers will appear, toss a grenade at them. Near the end of the path, get the [R] and the [MED] from the barrels there. Exit area. ---- ++ Marco BOSS 5 This boss is very easy. Start by taking out all the soldiers in the room, or by blowing up the barrels and collecting [MED] and [H]. Do both, in whatever order you want to. Now, blow up all the parts on the missile using your [H]. It's really this easy, no one will attack you or anything. Just take the missile out, and you've cleared the boss. Don't spend too long time, though. --MISSION 5 COMPLETE ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ================================================================ IV.M6: Marco Mission 6 {WAM006} ================================================================ + AREA 1 This mission is a different piece of cake compared to the ones you've experienced earlier. Remember that you have your auto- aim, and try dodging shots and taking out as many enemies as you can. Ok, let's start! At first, start shooting at the tank in front of you using the standard Vulcan the plane is equipped with. Every time a plane enters the screen, there are three in all here, you should aim at the plane instead and shoot it down fast. Once a plane is destroyed, shoot at the tank again. When all three planes and the tank are destroyed, shoot at the new two tanks on the ground using the Vulcan Stay high up in the air. After these two, there is a bigger tank. You might want to use one cannon shot at this one in addition to the Vulcan It drops a [GAS] when destroyed. In the bend, fly as far right as you can. Drown the helicopter in front of you in bullets while flying to the left again to avoid the shots coming from it. Suddenly, eight enemy planes will come towards you after each other. The Vulcan is your choice alone. Use it quickly as each new plane comes towards you. Hold down the auto-aim and shoot constantly using the Vulcan in the next bend. Missiles you need to shoot down will come towards you. Keep shooting using auto-aim, and take out the helicopter. ---LEFT PATH--- If you choose the left path, which is a cave, you will need to start shooting at the closest tank using the cannon as fast as you can. Now, take out the next two tanks using the Vulcan, while flying low to avoid their shots. The next part is three big tanks. Use both the cannon and the Vulcan like a mad cow to clear your path. ---RIGHT PATH--- If you choose the right path, fly high up in the air at fist while shooting at the tank on your right side. It will drop a [GAS]. Now, three planes will come towards you. Dodge or shoot them down, you decide. Now, several tanks will shoot at you from a cliff. Use the cannon against them as soon as you see them. You need to be very fast, as planes will come towards you as well. The planes should be dodged. ---- ++ Marco BOSS 6 start by shooting at the turrets on the left and right sides of the boss. The boss will launch red round missiles at you, but they can easily be dodged, even if it looks hard. The boss will also shoot at you using [H]-like bullets coming from the two turrets, but dodging is not hard here either. Just keep moving at all times. Try to take out both turrets as fast as you can. When you have done some damage, the camera will shift, and you will move to the right side of the boss. Now, I will advise you to aim for the lower turrets, as their projectiles are hardest to avoid. The other ones can easily be dodged, just fly from the left to the right and back again (continue doing this until the camera changes yet another time). Now, there are similar turrets to the lower one from last sequence. However, this time they fire at the same time and can easily be avoided with flying up or down when the missiles come close. Aim at easier to hit targets instead. Like the main turret on the center of the boss. When you've done enough damage, the camera changes view again. Continue like you played when you were fighting on the opposite side of the boss. If you still haven't destroyed the main parts of the boss, the fight will continue until you do. When you have destroyed these parts, a huge turret will appear in front of the boss. Shoot at it. If you still have shots for your cannon left, use them. When the turrets starts shooting at you, fly in a tight, not too big circle as fast as you can. Soon, projectiles will be shot at you. Look closely as they come closer, and dodge them by flying left or right. The boss should be down by the time you have dodged the missiles, even if you had no cannon-shots. --MISSION 6 COMPLETE ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ================================================================ IV.M7: Marco Mission 7 {WAM007} ================================================================ Before you do anything else. Use a heavy weapon like [R] or [IL] to take out the transport car, the panzer-tank and the flying helicopter. Now, to the right of you there are crates with two [RB] and some [G]'s. Now, there is a 33-tank in the area in front of you. Run around it while shooting and killing soldiers that might attack you. Next step is to ignore the helicopter that will appear, and instead take out the transport car and the panzer-tank that are placed in the left part of the area. This will prevent new soldiers from appearing as often as they did a few moments ago. Now you can wait for the helicopter to attack you again. Serve it some bullets from your [H] and make it crash. Believe it or not, another helicopter is on its way. Wait for it and make it suffer. Now, go to where you started, and take the small path that goes between some houses to the right. Destroy the crates for three [GB] and a [SN]. With the [SN] acquired, you should go to where the transport- car was placed. Continue from here and into the backyard. Collect a [S] and two [BB] from the three barrels that can be found on the stairs here. Now, walk back to the area you came from and take out the last 33-tank. Should be easy by strafing to dodge the shots from its cannon. To the left of this tank, a prisoner is sitting, he has a [R] for you. Accept the gift and be happy. Walk towards the red wall, and take the right fork. Use a weapons like [F] to take out the two panzer tanks, as well as a transport car and some soldiers. You will be rewarded with a [MED]. Now, go back to where you came from and take out the M3 car that is here. I Go towards the red wall again, but take the left fork this time. and enter the small sideway. Take out the soldiers on the crates, and collect some [BB]'s that are lying in your path. Do not blow up all the crates, as you need them in order to reach a [CD] that floats in the air above them. As you can see, there are three prisoners behind the crates. Be quick and run as close to their side of the area as possible, as enemies might launch an air-strike against you. The prisoners will reward you with [R] and [SB]. If you walk back to where you collected the [SN], there is a path very close that has been unlocked. Three prisoners are hidden here. Now you can exit the area, as the red wall is now gone. ---- + AREA 2 To your left and right there are crates. They contain two [GB] and a [H]. You are under fire by two soldiers and a tank on the street in front of you. Run close to the tank and circle around it while shooting. The soldiers are not a threat when you are close to the tank, so take them out afterwards Now, a tank and some soldiers will shoot at you from the right street. Take them out. Follow the street the last tank was placed on until you see some barrels on a stair. Inside them are [R] and [MED]. As you might have noticed, there is a helicopter in the air, take it out and get a "OK" message. Now, a red wall will appear again. Bullets and projectiles will rain at you, so move quickly, and take out the soldiers throwing grenades at you from the other side of the area and wait at the grass on the far right a little while. Do not stand on the grass in the middle of the area for too long. You should however, save the prisoner there for a [AS]. Several soldiers will be coming at you from the houses, so watch out. Behind the red wall, there is a tank. When it's down, the red wall disappears and you can continue. A new tank will shoot at you from some stairs. Shoot at it 'till it's down, and collect the [C] that is in some barrels at a grass spot a few feet before the tank was placed. The barrels are hard to see, but look closely and your eye will catch their tops. Continue the only way possible, as usual. Now you see a long flat street around the corner. Wait a little, and take out the soldiers coming from the houses, while dodging the bombs from the helicopter. Equip a weapon like [H] or [C] and run towards the tower-tank at the end of the street. Take it out, and collect the nearby [SG] which you can find to your left. To your right, there is a crate with a [L]. Now, a [H] will be a good choice for taking down the helicopter. Exit area. ---- + Marco BOSS 7 In the grass to your right, there is a prisoner with a [MED]. Collect the [BB]'s on the stairs, and save the new prisoner in the grass for a new [SG]. Walk to your right, and the boss- scene will be activated. Instead of going back to where you came from, turn right once the boss starts attacking you, and run towards the bars in front of you. Continue running this way, down the stairs, and then to the right. Pick up [MED] as well as other bars, but don't ever stop. Once in a while, you will hear a fast rattling sound. Count to two fast, and then jump while running to avoid being hit. You will eventually get to see a Slug waiting for you, but before entering, go into the backyard to the right of the slug to collect a [CD]. Now enter slug, and exit area. Now, this is the final area. There are several weapons, [MED] and [GAS] scattered around, but as long as you have ammunition for your [SG], this is all you need. Just go into manual aiming, and start shooting at the two turrets located at the boss' belly, or better said: The center. The boss will shoot at you, but not very fast. Of course, you can use the slug, or any other weapon to shoot at the boss, but [SG] is very effective. --MISSION 7 COMPLETE ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ================================================================ IV.M8: Marco Mission 8 {WAM008} ================================================================ + AREA 1 This mission is similar to Mission 6, but here, you are handling an submarine instead of a plane. Touching the ground is dangerous, so avoid it. When you start out, shoot at the bombs coming from the right. Now, there are several submarines, a few underwater bombs, and some soldiers located in front of you - they're quite a distance away from you, but start aiming, and shoot everything down. Watch especially the bombs. You'll soon enter some kind of building. Continue shooting at everything in front of you, soldiers, submarines and especially bombs. The Vulcan is more than enough. When you start looping and going downwards, be very careful. Soon, several soldiers will attack you. Take them out fast using the Vulcan. Now, there are four submarines in front of you, still, the Vulcan is enough. One of the submarines drops [GAS]. You'll start looping again, but this time, there's six mines in your way. Aim and shoot them while looping. The next part is more tricky. Lots of bombs in your way, and submarines behind them. Use the Vulcan to take out as many mines as you can, and the cannon to shoot down the submarines. --- + AREA 2 Now, use your manual aim to take out the crates on the ground, while keeping an eye out for mines and bombs. The second lot of crates has [AS] hidden under it. After this crate, a big eel will enter the area, with submarines following it from behind. Take out the submarines using the Vulcan first, and then concentrate on the eel. A few cannon shots in addition to the Vulcan-shots will kill it. If you aren't fast, and the eel charges at you, dodge by strafing. When the eel is dead, you get an "OK" message. You will now see [GAS] down at the sunken ship. Collect it fast, and go to the far right of the screen, as a bomb will try to ambush you close to the [GAS]. The next part has lots of mines coming from holes in the ground. Shoot at them, while still being in the right edge of the screen, there is a small bend in the road, where a submarine will come charging against you. Keep to the right, and let it taste some Vulcan! Now, shoot at every target in front of you, there are both soldiers and mines. Watch out for the soldiers' harpoons. The room you come to now, has two submarines and a few mines. The submarines is the only real threat, so blow them up fast using your cannon. Now, you will start going upwards again, and see several "DANGER" signs. Ignore them. Around one of the corners, there's a few manets waiting for you to shoot them. The next thing that happens, is that you meet four submarines and some soldiers. Use the Vulcan and the cannon at the same time to take them out. --MISSION 8 COMPLETE ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ================================================================ IV.M9: Marco Mission 9 {WAM009} ================================================================ + AREA 1 Behind you, there is a barrel with a [H]. Get it. Get to the area inside the fence, and get the [RB] from the barrel close to the wall on the house here. You should see four [GB]. Get them, as well as [SB] and [FB] from the crates close the the bars. A flame-tank will try to kill you, but you know better than to die. Take it out using your handgun, as it's pretty easy if you're at a fair distance. Go back to the start, and enter the slug. Take out the two tanks that are in this area using the slug. One of them drops [GAS]. Keep driving and follow the road. You'll get to a red wall. Some soldiers will be shooting at you from a cliff to your right. Throw a grenade at their explosive barrel. Now, a ship is blocking your road as well. There are two turrets on the ship, and soldiers will often run out of the ship and towards you. Depending on how your Slug is equipped, decide if you want to stay in the slug or leave it while shooting at the turrets. If you leave, just stand very close to the ship, and the turrets won't even hit you. Watch out for grenades coming from soldiers though. When the two turrets are down, the ship will blow up, and you can continue. Now, look to your left, and kill the two soldiers there for [DM] and [I]. The two prisoners here will also reward you with [MED] and [G]. Turn around and charge towards all the enemies. You should easily be able to take out the panzer-tanks using your slug. In the crates here, there are [G], [MED], [R], [S], a prisoner with [G], as well as three [RB]. You will now arrive at an open area with some buildings. There is a tank at the middle of this area, there is another one at a cliff as well. Use your slug to take out the first tank, and the one on the cliff, you can take out using your handgun after having jumped out of your slug. Watch out for soldiers trying to knife you to death. In the barrels and crates on the cliff, there's [MED] and [GAS]. Suddenly, the enemies will go crazy, and LOTS of tanks and helicopters will come shooting at you. Enter the slug and take them down one by one. The helicopters are usually easiest to take down after having jumped out of the slug. Take out every single enemy that enters the area. Watch out for the huge ship that will drop bombs down towards you. You do not need to destroy this ship. After you've killed all the enemies that enter, you will get the "OK" message. Search the area for remaining enemy drops. Now continue through the gates in the area. Do not run too fast, as the gate will get blown up when you get close. Take the [RB] on the path and the [BB] in the barrel close to the gate. Once you've entered the area, a new red wall will appear. Take out all the enemies in the area while running around collecting bars. The flame-tank is a threat, so destroy it fast. The enemies will drop [GAS]. After a while, a helicopter will attack you. Take it out, only to prepare for three tanks. Use [FB] to take them out quickly. They will drop two [DM]. Now, the last enemies in the area are located up some small stairs to the left in the area. They are hiding close to some crates containing bars and [MED]. After these enemies are dead, you will receive an "OK" message. Now, the red wall has disappeared, and you are able to enter next area through a door with a huge NEXT sign over it. Do not enter yet, but walk past the door and around the corner to save a prisoner. He will give you a [CD]. Now you can exit area. --- + AREA 2 You will find yourself in a room with lots of crates. Do not destroy them yet. Run around the the other side of the area, and kill every soldier you meet. Do not be afraid to destroy crates, but they do provide cover. You will meet lots of soldiers and a spider, as well as two turrets. Destroy them all. The turrets first. Grenades are good against the spider, and knife is solid against soldiers. When the enemies are dead, special forces will enter the area. Use [S] or [DM] to take them all down. There are three prisoners in the area as well. They will provide you with [MED], [S] and [C]. There are several bars inside all the crates. One of the bars is a [SLVB], so pick it up. Continue through the door the special forces entered through. Take out the two soldiers here, and destroy the turret. Several soldiers will enter from the corner in front of you. Kill them all using your handgun, and collect all the [GB] you can see. Now, enter the first door on the right side. Clean the room out of soldiers and turrets, and save the two prisoners close to the door for a [DM] and [G]. Exit the room, and proceed into the one on the left side of the corridor. Save the prisoner for a [SG], and kill the two special force troopers that will enter using [S], or just your handgun. Exit the room, and continue through the corridor. Blow up the two spiders at the end using something like [I]. In the next room, take out the turrets at the left/right, as well as the ones at the other side of the room, and save three prisoners for [MED], [AS] and [C]. Exit area through the door. + AREA 3 Lots of soldiers here. Kill all of them for two [H]'s. There's most likely over 20 of them, but the handgun is more than enough. Run forwards and watch the cut-scene. --- ++ Marco BOSS 9 First off, behind a rock to the right, a [CD] is hidden, so collect it. Allen himself can easily be taken down by equipping a fast weapon with good accuracy. The [DM] is a good choice. Run around Allen while shooting from a fair distance. When you get behind him, run closer and use your knife. You should be able to do at least three cuts before he turns around. In the next phase, Allen will throw several grenades towards you. They can easily be dodged. Now, he will shoot faster using his weapon as well. If the bullets get too close to you, just jump. It's not very hard. Allen will die after a little while if you follow this paragraph. --MISSION 9 COMPLETE ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ================================================================ IV.M10: Marco Mission 10 {WAM010} ================================================================ NOTE: This mission is split up in areas, but not checkpoints. NEXT sign = New Area! + AREA 1 Whip up your [R] and shoot down the four spiders that you can see from where you start. They are above you, at the stairs in front of you to the right, and on the wall to the right. Walk down to the bottom of the room. Some spiders might follow you. Take them out. If they did not follow, head upwards and kill them. One drops a [R]. Anyways, head up the stairs until you see a [BB] on the floor. Collect it and jump on the platform floating in the air. It will move upwards until you meet a new blue spider. Jump when it shoots at you, and take it out using [R]. It will drop a [MED]. You will now see the NEXT letters. Exit area if you want to do this fast and get a good time-rating. If you want more bars, you can collect the [RB]'s in the air behind you and then exit area afterwards. It's possible to get a S rated mission even if you spend time on the [RB]'s. --- + AREA 2 Use your handgun to kill the birds in front of you. Watch out for a bird that might dive towards you from above. Jump down and collect all the [RB]'s while falling. Now, you are on the ground and should whip out your [H]. Blow up the red spider that is placed on a platform down to your left. Use the platforms behind you to jump down to where the spider was destroyed. When you get there, collect [F], [S], [G]'s and a [CD]. Watch out for a smaller spider hiding down here. Now, jump up again and exit area. Just make sure you do long jumps, as it's easy to miscalculate the gaps between platforms. -- + AREA 3 Jump all the way down and knife the special forces to death. There's three of them. Walk up the stairs again, collect the [MED] on your way, and jump onto the small platform. Collect the bars on the platform and shoot at the three special forces that wait on you above. Do not jump off the platform, but ride further up. Another three special forces will wait for you close to the exit. Kill them and collect the [H] and [G] before exiting the area, or jumping down to the right of the exit for some [BB]'s. Either way, exit area when you are done. -- + AREA 4 Kill the birds in front of you, jump down to the right where all the [BB]'s are. Do not exit area. Instead, get the [MED] behind you first. Now leave the area. -- + AREA 5 Equip something like the [S] and shoot down the special force soldier at the top of the stairs, as well as the spider on the wall to your right. Jump all the way down to collect [G] and lots of [RB]'s on your way up again using the stairs. Now, if you've got [F], equip it. Run up the stairs, taking out all the special forces and spiders you meet. There are spiders in the roof as well as on the ground and stairs. Drops are bars and [MED]. After a while you will reach the exit. -- + AREA 6 Shoot the bird in front of you. Jump down collecting the [GB]'s. There is a CD between the bars. Exit area. -- + AREA 7 There is a Special Forces soldier to your left. Use your knife to kill him, and then jump all the way down to blow up a blue spider, and then shoot down the spider high up on the wall. Run up to the small platform. It will take you higher up in the room. Collect the [RB] that lies on the platform. When the platform stops, shoot and kill all the dogs in front of you. Do not go too near them. When the dogs are dead, jump to where they were standing. Collect the bars, but stay alert with your knife as a special force soldier will attack. When you are done with this part of the stairs, a soldier and a dog will come from the locked door. A grenade or two is a good choice here. Take out the spider on the wall. Continue running up stairs until you get to lots of [GB]'s. Kill the special force soldier, the spider in the roof, and dodge the two dogs coming at you. A [I] will be dropped. Exit area. -- + AREA 8 Jump down, collect the [RB]'s, kill the spider. Exit area. -- + AREA 9 Go all the way down as usual. Collect the [L], [MED] and take out the spider on the wall, and kill the dog. Run upwards again. Take down the spider you will meet in the stairs. The next opponents are two blue suits. Throw grenades at them and jump onto the platform that takes you upwards. Knife down the blue suit and the special force soldier. Collect the [ST] and shoot down the spider at the wall. Jump on the next platform. Now, kill the blue suit and the dog. Grenade is a good choice. At the top, there are two suits and one blue spider. Throw grenades and exit area. -- + AREA 10 Shoot down the birds in front of you. Jump down where all the colored bars are located. Make sure to follow the path of bars so that you do not land outside of the platform of destination. Hold down the forward button ALL the time during jump. At the bottom, take out the blue spider and exit area. -- + AREA 10 You know what to do; jump all the way down. Kill the two dogs and collect all the bars and the [MED]. There is a spider on the wall, and one at the stairs when you run upwards. Enter the platform that takes you upwards and use grenades at the two blue suits and the special force soldier. Get the [MED]. Continue going upwards with the platform. Take out the suit, the blue spider, and collect the [SG]. Further up, there are suits and a spider at the wall. The suit will drop [DM]. At the next floor, there are three special force soldiers. Use Grenades or knife. The next floor has three blue spiders coming out of the door one after another. [SG] is great to take them out. The last floor has three blue suits. Knife them do death. Watch out for the first one that comes running towards you. You're done! --MISSION 10 COMPLETE ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ================================================================ IV.MFI: Marco Final Mission {WAMFI} ================================================================ ++ Marco Final Mission BOSS In this battle, try using the stairs as much as possible. The boss will try to step on you if you use the main floor. So, use the stairs that cover the end of the room all the time. Start by shooting at the boss' feet using something like [C]. The boss will launch his hands towards you. If you think they are too annoying, a few shots is enough to stop them. When the boss has had enough, he will uncover his face and come closer, as if he's stunned. Switch to [S], [SG] or [L] and fire at will. At his face, of course. when the boss comes close to death, he will start launching electronic beams at you. Just run, and you'll avoid them - it's not hard. Keep doing this until all the lights in the boss's face are red. Hint: You should by all means use [SG] at the boss's head, as he'll be down very fast. --- ++ Marco Final Mission BOSS 2 As you can see, there is a Slug in this area, but do not enter it just yet. Instead, equip your [H] and start dodging the electronic beams coming from above. Running around in a big circle is effective. There are eyeballs on the wall that fire the beams. By shooting at them, you will gain random items. Not worth it if you've got lots of ammo. After a while, two hands will appear. Shoot at one of them until the boss himself opens his eyes. Just watch out for the electronic beams the hands fire. Now, start shooting at one of his eyes using [L] or [H]. After a while the camera will adjust itself. When this happens, run to the left or the right, as the boss will try to eat you. When the boss closes his eyes, feet from above will try to crunch you. Avoid them until all the eyes on the walls appear again. Now, repeat until the boss is dead. If you take too much damage, just enter the slug and use the Vulcan to fire at the boss's eyes. It is however smart to save it up until you really need it in order to survive, as it's hard to keep the slug alive while being targeted by all the eyes. Hint: Using [L] at the boss's eyes is a very good solution! ================================================================ IV.T1: Tarma Mission 1 {WAT001} ================================================================ + AREA 1 First, get all the bars close to you: Two bars in the barrels to your left, four bars to your right lying on the ground. Take out the tank on the hill to the right in the area, and use one of the crates to jump up on the hill to get [H]. From here, shoot and kill all the soldiers you can see. Jump down again, and save the three prisoners you can see. The last one is close to where you started, so now this is where you should be. The prisoners have [G] and two [MED]. Now, take out the transport- car in front of you, and kill the soldiers up on the small bridge/platform. Use the nearby crate to jump up on the bridge to get the four [GB]. Under the bridge, there are barrels with [G] and [MED]. Now, shoot and destroy the two tower tanks close to the red wall. When you've done this, exit area. --- + AREA 2 A transport car with soldiers in will drive and stop close to you. Shoot and destroy the car and the soldiers while jumping to avoid the fishes that will jump at you. Destroy the nearby barrel for a [MED]. To your left, there are several [RB] and a [H], but the bridge is not ready for you to walk over, so head to the right up to the mine instead. Once you start getting close to the mine, two suicide bikers will explode, avoid them. Also, right before you enter the mine, take out the boat- vehicle that is placed in the small sea. Once inside the mine, take out all soldiers for some bars, make the explosives blow up, and save the two prisoners for [C] and [G]. The two barrels close to the mine's exit contain [I] and [RB]. Instead of rushing out of the mine, stop and shoot the suicide bikers here from a long distance. Watch out for the tank that will shoot at you, and blow it up. Save the prisoners here for [MED] and [G]. Take out the transport car. Continue walking, and you will encounter the boss. --- ++ Tarma BOSS 1 Ignore the boss and its supporting helicopter and tanks. Take out all the crates in the area, and save all the prisoners. If a soldier gets too close, knife his stomach up. You will end up with lots of bars, [H] and [MED]. Now, take out the boss by strafing and shooting with a good weapon. An alternate strategy is to take out the supporting tanks before saving the prisoners. It's up to you. --MISSION 1 COMPLETE ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ================================================================ IV.T2: Tarma Mission 2 {WAT002} ================================================================ + AREA 1 Kill the three soldiers talking in front of you. Take the right fork, collect the [S] close to the nearby wall, and kill every single enemy you meet. At the end of the road, there will be two prisoners with [MED] and [H]. Go back, and take the left fork this time. Throw a grenade to blow up the explosives in the shelter the soldier have made in the road. Collect the bars down there. Now, a grenade or two should kill the soldiers further to the left. There is a [C] behind the wall even further to the left. Instead of backtracking and going right from where you started, turn around, walk up the stairs. Kill the soldiers here, and walk up to the area with a fountain. A red wall will appear, shoot all the soldiers to death, and save the two prisoners for [G] and [MED]. Soldiers will shoot at you from below. Jump down to where they stand and take them all out. Note that there are two turrets shooting at you from above the street here. After dealing with the two turrets I mentioned, destroy the crates close to the two transport cars, do of course take out the cars as well. Several soldiers will attack from the left. Kill 'em. In the crates you destroyed, there is a prisoner with a [MED]. To the far left, there is one with a [H]. When you've taken out all the soldiers in the area, the blue wall that is blocking your way will disappear. Exit the area through the big door that says "NEXT". --- + AREA 2 Suddenly, you are in a mad situation with lots of enemies in a small room. First, take out the two turrets on your left and right side. Then, choose a fast weapon to kill all the soldiers in the room. You might even want to knife them all. When the soldiers are dead, take out the remaining two turrets in the end of the room, and save the prisoner here for a [MED]. Now, take out the tower tank placed in the stairs, go up the stairs and collect all the [BB]. Once you're up on the next floor, use some grenades to take out all the shielded soldiers, and shoot at all the turrets in the room until they are blown up. Save the prisoner in one of the corners for a [MED]. Now you can jump down again. Take out all of the new turrets and soldiers. In the right edge of the room, there is a prisoner with a CD. Exit the area. --- + AREA 3 A car will drive towards you, so shoot and destroy the explosive barrels in front of you to take it out. Some soldiers will jump at you from the left, so don't stand still at any time. Collect the [H] to your right, and shoot any incoming soldiers. Enter the bank, take out the two soldier and the turret, and save the two soldiers here for [MED] and [S]. Exit the bank, and run towards the only tank you can see. A red wall will appear, and many enemies will attack you. There are lots of soldiers, two 2-launchers, the tank I mentioned, and a helicopter. Strafe as you always do. The [H] is a good weapon here. When things have calmed down, save the two prisoners on the sidewalk for two [MED]. Enter the police station for a [MED] and an [H]. Just don't get hit by the soldiers and the turret inside the station. Now, exit the station and follow the road until you meet the last soldiers before the boss. Kill the soldiers, and save the two prisoners at the end of the road. They have [S], [H], and are covered in bars. --- ++ Tarma BOSS 2 If you start out right, this boss is easy. Just select a powerful weapon like the [S] or [C], and start shooting at the helicopter above you. Once it's down, kill the three shielded soldiers in the area using your knife for some action, now select [S] or [I], and take out the tank, as well as the 2- launchers. There will be a remaining helicopter, as you might have noticed. Take it down! --MISSION 2 COMPLETE ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ================================================================ IV.T3: Tarma Mission 3 {WAT003} ================================================================ + AREA 1 Lovely sandland. Kill the soldiers in front of you, and take out the balloon in the air. Run forwards and then to the right. Take out all the crates for several bars, then save the prisoner for a [H]. Behind you there is now a tank and a balloon. Blow them up. Continue running, and several soldiers will come out of the houses. Kill them and save the prisoner in the middle of the area for a [H]. Make progress until you get to the area where a red wall appears, blow up the tank, transport car and kill the soldiers. [FB] is a good weapon here. The two prisoners close to the wall will reward you with [MED] and [S]. Close to the exit, there is a prisoner with a [G]. Exit area. --- + AREA 2 A tank will enter from the left. Use a few grenades on it. Shoot the two attacking soldiers. Continue running forwards. You will eventually get to a vehicle similar to the Mission 1 boss. take it, as well as a supporting helicopter out. Grenades and [H] will work nicely. Now, go back to where you first saw the vehicle you just took out. There is a tank here, as well as a few soldiers. Take them out, and collect the [GB]'s. Now, take the left fork, as the right one is blocked by a red wall. While running, you will meet several soldiers. Kill them all as usual. In the end, you will reach a helicopter and a 2-launcher. Take them both out quick using [H]. Close to the exit you can see from here, there is a prisoner and two soldiers once the soldiers are dead, you can continue, but you should not. Collect the [SG] from the prisoner, and backtrack until you get to the fork that was blocked by a red wall. At the end of the path, there is a [CD]. You will however have to deal with several tanks to get here. [S] and grenades is a great combination at close-range battles like this. After having collected the CD, exit area. --- + AREA 3 To your left there are two barrels with [RB] in them. In front of you, there is a slug and two soldiers. Kill them. Blow up the explosives close to the slug, and enter it after having collected the bars that appeared when you blew up the crates. There is only one path, follow it. Drive close to the 2- launcher you'll meet and take it out for an "OK" message. A door is open in front of you, but go to the right instead. After collecting the [BB]'s from the barrels close to the palms in this area, you will be bombed by huge missiles. Continue running until you meet a tank and a 2-launcher. Take them out. Behind them, there are two helicopters. Destroy them. Now, collect all the [GB] and [SLVB]'s, and save the three prisoners in the middle of the area for [SN], [FB] and [G]. Now, backtrack until you get to the open door I mentioned. --- ++ Tarma BOSS 3 Use the Vulcan to take out the missile launchers on the left and right sides of the boss. There are two on each side. Now, use the cannon to easily take out the main cannon on the boss. This is very easy, as you don't need to be within the boss's shooting range in order to hit it. Collect the bars that are hidden in the barrels to the right and left of where you start, and make sure to pick up [S] and [H] that can be found on the ground by taking out the soldiers I mentioned. Now, go up to the left and destroy the huge tank that watches over a cave. There are three helicopters and a balloon in the sky, so take them out using [H]. Now, enter the cave the tank was guarding and save the prisoners and destroy the crates for [H] and [G]. Exit the cave and jump into the river and take out the tank for a [MED]. Follow the river forwards and take out the tank close to the red wall. You do not have to go close to it. There are a few barrels close to the river with some bars in them. There is also a small building here, where quite a few soldiers are placed. Kill them, and save the prisoner outside of the building for a [MED]. There's two prisoners inside, they reward you with [H] and [G]. Make sure you also take out the boat inside the cave. Now, you will see some prisoners sitting on the explosives outside of the cave. Exit cave, take out every enemy on the ground, including the tank. Now, at the other side of the water, some soldiers have appeared. Use your [SN] to kill them. Now, be very careful and jump on the crates in the water, And save the prisoners. On the other side, there is a prisoner behind the car. It is possible to jump all the way here, so why not save him? Then jump back. Do not jump on the explosive crates. Continue running 'till you get to the boss. --- ++ ERI BOSS 1 This is a very hectic situation, but not very hard if you know what to do. I will advice you to use the [SG] to shoot at the boss's supporting tanks. Throw grenades at them at the same time, while running around the area, strafing all the time. In the crates, there are bars and a [MED]. It really isn't that hard, as the [SG] is very powerful, and so are grenades. If you get very close to him, use your knife at him. Allen will also throw grenades at you, but these are very easy to dodge. After a while, Allen will start shooting blue bullets. Hide behind one of the objects in the area to avoid behind hit. When Allen stops shooting, show him your bullets! When your [H] runs out, [S] is a good choice. Allen is pretty bugged however. I've also written first version of the Mission 1 walkthrough - which is by no means complete yet. I will most likely update more one of the nearest days. Feedback would be nice, boys and girls. Version 0.2 (02-07-2006) : Today I've added information about all the games in the series' releases. This is a listing of all original releases, as well as all the ports of these games. Added Greets & Thanks section. This was not uploaded, as lightening has taken out my DSL modem at the time of writing. I wonder if there's more topics bashing this game at the Gamefaqs forum...
