I wrote this guide because I am a huge fan of the Xenosaga series and because it gave me something to do over the summer holidays. This is my first guide so be gentle when judging me about it; I don't have experience with these sorts of things. I hope to get better as I hope to write guides for all three Xenosaga games. I am open to ideas for this guide as long as they are good ones. Should you know of a way to significantly help the process or end result of this guide feel free to contact me with your idea. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Basics of the Game |BG03 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Modes Quest Mode Quest mode is when you move your main character throughout the dungeons and cities of the game. In this mode you can talk to NPC's (non playable characters), obtain items, develop your characters skills, and solve puzzles to move forward in the story. Battle mode This mode is where you take on the baddies that get in your way. There are several different things you can do in this mode, and they will be discussed in the battle help section. Cinematic mode This is where the cut scenes play out and where the story progresses. You can skip the cut scenes by pausing the game and pressing triangle, however this is not recommended because the game is very story based. Controls Quest: Left Analog stick: Move character Square: Destroy objects Triangle: Menu Circle: Talk to NPC/Confirm L1 or R1: Cycle through destroyable objects R2: Walk (hold) Menu: D-Pad or Left Analog Stick: Move cursor Square: Remove equips (status menu only) Triangle: Exit Menu Circle: Confirm/Forward Cross: Back L1 or R1: Cycle characters L2 or R2: Cycle Menu's Start: Change party leader Battle: Square: Attack Triangle: Attack Circle: Attack/Confirm selection in menu Cross: Opens menu/Goes back in menu D-pad or left analog stick: Moves cursor in menu/selects enemy out of menu L1 or L2: Add/Remove attack status box R1 or R2: Bring up boost menu Cut scene: Start: Pause/unpause the game Triangle: Skip cut scene when paused +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Battle Help |BH04 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Attacking: An attack is made using the triangle, square and circle buttons. Triangle represents C zone attacks and square represents B zone attacks. Circle attacks hit the highest zone they can. You can add additional attacks after the basic attack by expending stock you've saved up on past turns. They are always circle attacks. To help with circle attacking: chaos and Ziggy both down enemies. If the enemy in break and you use circle they will use an attack that attempts to down them. As long as they are not aired or downed they will always use this attack, in the break state or not. The same goes for KOS-MOS and Jin but they will attempt to air the enemy. Now if the attack successfully downs the enemy they will then change there attacks to there down only attacks. These attacks only occur if the enemy is in the down state. Now if the enemy is in the down state and Jin or KOS-MOS uses a circle attack it will be the same attack as when he is attempting to air an enemy. They will only use this attack for circle unless the enemy is aired. Now if the enemy is aired both Jin and KOS-MOS change there attacks to there air only attacks. As long as the enemy is aired these will be there circle attacks. This will also occur if the enemy is large or aerial, where the A Zone can be hit. Now if the enemy is aired both chaos and Ziggy cannot attack that enemy. Until the enemy falls they cannot attack at all with any attacks. However they can still attack large and aerial enemies with circle attacks that attempt to down the enemy. As for Shion and MOMO no matter whether the enemy is normal, aired or downed there attacks can reach and will attack the highest point possible. Usually this is the B Zone. However when facing large enemies or enemies that are aerial they can attack the A Zone. Jr is the same as MOMO and Shion except he has air only attacks like KOS-MOS and Jin. Against large and aerial enemies, as well as aired enemies, he will use these attacks. However if the enemy is normal, in the break state, or down he will use his non-air circle attack. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Boosting: To use boost you must first have at least "one" beside your boost gauge. Then press the R1 or R2 to bring up the boost menu. Use square, triangle and circle to select whom you will boost. Once boosted there icon will appear where the boost menu was. If a counter-boost if activated it will delay a boost but you will get the next turn after the counter-boost. Note until you unlock an ability called combo boost a character cannot take a boost if their icon is displayed in the turn viewer. This enables double attacks and ether combos. It is also necessary to use boosts to chain combos together and build up an AC Chain. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Menu: Use the Cross button to open the menu during battle. Stock: Adds one stock to your stock gauge. In E.S. it adds 100EC to your charge meter. A maximum of three stock can be stocked. Same goes for the E.S. however you need an accessory to enable stocking to 300EC. Ether: Allows you to use ethers you have learned from the skills menu. By pressing triangle on certain ethers when a character is boosted with usually the same skills you can perform an ether combo by pressing triangle. Only available to E.S. Zebulun in E.S. battles. Ethers known are based of ethers MOMO has learned. Item: Use an item in your inventory. Only available in character battles. Double: Only available if a second character boost that has a double attack with the current character. One selected you can select an attack if there is more than one. The number next to it is how much stock is needed to use the attack. Only available in character battles. Move: If the battle allows, you may be able to move your character to another spot on the field. Be careful because if you cross the field you will have your back turned until you attack. Change: Switch your character with one in reserve. Escape: Available to Shion and MOMO only, and the E.S. Zebulun in E.S. battles. It allows for the party to flee from non-boss fights. Special: Available to only KOS-MOS in character battles and all mechs in E.S. battles, it allows for special techniques to be used. The number next to the attack represents the amount of stock for KOS-MOS or Energy Charge for the E.S. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Status Effects |ST05 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ There are three types of status effects: Low level, High level and Support. Low-level statuses are the most common and will have mild effect on both enemies and characters. However if a character/enemy is hit by a low level attack when they already have a low-level status of the same kind there is a chance it will grow into a high-level status. High-level statuses have a drastic effect on you're the character/enemy but are harder to obtain. Support ethers must be cast on a character to give it support status. Both Low-level and support statuses last for five turns while high-level status last for the entire battle. To remove a low-level status can be cured with Refresh L or Antidote L. High-level statuses can be cured with Refresh H or Antidote H. The duration of support status effects can be doubled to ten turns by using an equip ST Double for characters or G ST Double for Mechs. I will list the negative status effects and what they do. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Low: L Slow -Speed drops slightly L Stun -Unable to take action (skips turn) L Heavy -Slight drop in Physical Attack L Weak -Slight drop in Physical Defense L Ether PD -Slight drop in Ether Attack L Ether DD -Slight drop in Ether Defense L Blind -Slight drop in Dexterity and Evasion L Poison -Lose 10% of HP each turn L Poison EP -Lose 5 EP each turn L Charge Down -Energy charge is lowered by 25% ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ High: H Stop -Unable to take action (skips turn) H Stun -Unable to take action/10% chance of breaking free when attacked H Heavy -Drastic drop in Physical Attack H Weak -Drastic drop in Physical Defense H Ether PD -Drastic drop in Ether Attack H Ether DD -Drastic drop in Ether Defense H Blind -Drastic drop is Dexterity and Evasion H Poison -Lose 25% of HP each turn H Poison EP -EP cost doubles H Charge Down -Energy Charge is lowered by 50% H Bind -Unable to perform single attacks H Lost -Unable to use Ethers H Boost Lock -Unable to Boost Curse -Target is dealt damage equal to the damage they do/Lasts for three turns ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ |-----------| |Walkthrough| |-----------| |WT60 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Select new game to begin. If you have Xenosaga Ep.I data you can load it for this game. You will receive KOS-MOS and Ziggy's swimsuits as well as the professor's swimsuit. Also you will gain extra skill points, each characters level times 30 will give you your bonus points plus 600 from the start. Watch the cut scene. Once it's over you will begin play. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Old Miltia (14 years ago) |WT61 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once you have control of the E.S. Asher head forward and Canaan will ask about the save point. It is the yellow spinning plate. You can heal all your characters to full health by walking into it and you can save your game by pressing the circle button. Head forward to the next area. Chaos will ask how to destroy thing in your path. Simply get with in range of the object and press the square button. Continue forward and destroy the objects in your path. After chaos asks about multiple targets you should see a tank in the background. Destroy it and the two barrels behind it to obtain the Power Shield, and equip for the E.S. Equip it by going into the menu and selecting status, the select E.S. Asher and the stats for it will appear as well as a list of equipped accessories and accessories in stock. Press Circle to equip the power shield and leave the menu. Go back and continue the way you were going for another cut scene. Head forward into the machine to start a battle. In this battle you will be given a tutorial of the battle system. Use the square attack, as it should kill them in one shot. Next you must boost so use R1 or R2 to pull up the boost menu and press square to boost Asher. Canaan will go through the menu and charge the EC to 200 so try out the special attack ice storm and defeat the last enemy using physicals. Continue forward destroying the object. Activate the trap and the enemy will stop moving for a bit. Yellow traps give you extra EC (in an E.S.) or stock (character battle). Continue forward and defeat the next mech. Destroy all the wreckage behind him to obtain Nano Repair A. Next go back and continue. Destroy the mech using the trap and continue. Red traps give you extra boost. Watch the cut scene. You will now be on foot. Your fighting characters are chaos and captain Jin Uzuki. Canaan does not participate in battles. Use the save point to the left to save your game. You can teach them both some skills if you want. They both start with 600 class and skill points, however if you loaded clear data chaos will have more. Teach chaos everything in Level 1 class C because you will be using it later and he is always in your party. Jin comes with Medica and Refresh L already learned. Feel free to use Jin's points anyway you desire. Also take note all of chaos' attacks are aura based and he can down enemies while Jin can air them. Remember to equip any skills you learned that have a ring symbol. Head forward and run into the enemy to start a fight. There will be another tutorial about character battles. Pay close attention to breaking and attack zones. Go read the battle section for more help on this or any other battle concept. After the battle go south and destroy all the wreckage here to obtain Revive S from a chest. Go back and continue forward to the next area. Destroy the door after the car and inspect it using the Circle button. It will say you found Segment Address 14. The game will explain this later and I explain this in the Segment Address section of the guide. Continue forward and engage the battle for yet another tutorial about menu controls and double attacks. Try using it, as it will come in handy later in this area. Continue forward and climb the ladder on the left. Follow the path and destroy the object at the end to obtain Skill Upgrade Dx3. Go back down the ladder and go right to the next area. Continue along the path passed the U-tic Solder. Destroy the green circles around the towers for a bio sphere. Continue and use the red trap to your advantage. Continue to the next screen and watch a cut scene. Use the save point and destroy the two block ads to clear a path. Follow it for a cut scene and your first boss fight! O=============================================================================O Margulis HP=1000 Type=Bio W.Atk=Physical W.Atr=Ic/Sl Break=CB Exp=2500 Sp=150 Cp=400 Item=Revive DX Rare Item=Skill Upgrade E Difficulty=Medium Recommended Lv=5 Margulis Attacks: Dakshina Marg ~40 Single/Physical/Slash Amavasya ~70 Single/Physical/Slash Courcien ~50 All/Physical/Strike Brahma -Self/Increase Accuracy Matriko Shakti -Self/Break block Stock up to the fullest and have Full boost. Have Jin attack using CB break and follow up with one circle attack to air him. Boost chaos during this and once it is his turn boost Jin and have them use the double attack Ice Brand. This attack plays against all of the boss's weaknesses. It should easily kill him in one shot. He will attack with one final strike attack after he is defeated which will deal around 50 damage to both of your characters. If your hp drops below 70 heal yourself using Jin's medica. If his hp drops below half he will use Matriko Shakti, which prevents breaking from the front. However if you move a character behind him you can break him from the side he is not facing. Try to kill him on boost event slot because his final attack will then use the bonus slot. It will give you more skill points. It shouldn't be too hard if you use the double attack. O=============================================================================O Watch the cut scenes and you will be asked to save. After you save you will have to watch more cut scenes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Second Miltia |WT62 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The story now picks off from where it left off in Ep.I. After all the cut scenes (and there is a lot of them) you will have control of Ziggy. Head south and use the save point. Continue south and leave for another cut scene. Once it is done you will have control of the party. You have four members and only three of them are allowed to fight. I recommend you use chaos, MOMO, and Jr. because chaos has a high ether attack and if you teach medica it will help you a lot more than Ziggy would. MOMO and jr. are good because their attacks pierce. Teach Jr. anything you like but have MOMO learn the Class A set first because with the highest ether attack she can heal the most. Next teach her class C skills. Her attack is based off her ether attack so her attack stat never matters. Also you can change the leader that appears on screen. It doesn't change anything except the destroy animations. Now that we are done with that proceed forward and a mech will attack you. Defeat him and move up the stairs. Destroy all the boxes and go through the door. Go down the stairs on the left and destroy the box to collect Skill Upgrade Ax5. Then go back and go down the stairs on the right to the next area. Follow the stream north and destroy the gate. Stay on the right side against the wall and hold right as you go down the steam end. Follow the path and go past the ladder (we don't want to go down) destroy the obstacles and pick up an Antidote L. Destroy the door and go up the next ladder you see and leave. A cut scene will occur. Destroy the door and go up the stairs. Destroy the box in front of you to obtain Ether Pack S. Follow the path around and destroy the next box for Revive Sx2. Continue along the path and use the trap to your advantage. Continue to the next screen. As you go down the path you will be chased by a huge mech. You cant' outrun it so get ready to fight. He back attacks you so make sure all your characters attack first so that they turn around. Continue along the path and go up the stairs. Heal your character here and go forward. A helicopter dropping four U-tic members out of it will attack you. They attack from both sides so focus on defeating one side at a time. The net thing it drops will bring you back to that same battle if it catches you. The trick is to run to the sides and wait for it to pass you, then go again to the next side area. Don't forget to destroy stuff to get Revive Sx2 and Skill Upgrade Ax5. Turn right at the end of the path and destroy the gate. Save your game. Head up the elevator. Go down the path and destroy the boxes for bio spheresx2 and continue along. You will then be ambushed by a boss! O=============================================================================O 0-88 Libra Hp=3360 Type=Mech Weak Atk=Ether Weak Atr=Th/Pc Break=None Exp=5800 Skill=450 Class=600 Item=Auxiliary Armor B Rare Item=G ST Double Difficulty=Medium Recommended Lv=9 0-88 Libra Attacks: Octo Ray ~90 Single/Ether/Beam Asm1229 ~90 All/Physical/Fire Sonic Boom ~110 All/Physical/Strike First off stock to the fullest and make sure you have al least 2 boost. Have Jr use all four circle attacks and have chaos boost ahead. Then unload chaos' stock to down the enemy, it won't do much but it sets up MOMO. Boost her during chaos' attacks and have her unload on it. Its hp should be around 750. From here you can just use standard attacks and have chaos heal since he doesn't do much. You can also use break sensors ether to lower its hit rate and evasion. After he starts to lose hp he will start using all attacks. If all your characters have low hp you can have MOMO boost or chaos' turn (or vice-versa) and go to ether and on medica press triangle to use a ether combo, which will heal the party for a low amount of hp at the cost of 2 ep to each person. It should not be a hard fight. O=============================================================================O Now go back and save. Head back up the elevator and destroy the crane arm to create a path across. Climb the ladder and go across the crane arm and turn right at the end. Continue forward and destroy the box blocking the way. An enemy will pop out of it. Defeat it and continue along the path. Destroy the boxes on the right for Revive Sx2. Continue forward and fight the two mechs and the U-tic helicopter. Remember both chaos and Ziggy cant hit the helicopter. Continue on into the next building. Use the save point to save your game and enter the door on the left. Follow the stairwell and don't stop moving. When the mechs start chasing you keep going and run through the door really fast. You don't want to fight them because after this cut scene is a boss fight! Pilum wastes his first turn talking and Scutum wastes two turns. Now have chaos and Jr attack Pilum with all there stock. Don't worry about boosting because they don't have break zones so all attacks are standard damage. Chaos' attacks will build up an AC chain, which will add on a little more damage with every attack. When his Hp gets around 500 have MOMO use all of her stock to finish him off. Use the medica ether combo to heal the whole party. Now have MOMO and Jr. attack and have chaos heal. Also if you took the time to learn thunder or aura blast you can use those as well. If either of there hp is low Scutum will cast Medica and heal for 840 hp. Also he will heal any status effects with refresh L/H. When his hp drops really low he will use armor field but it shouldn't matter because you are attacking him with MOMO anyways. Try to defeat them on a skill bonus because it will land you a lot of skill points. O=============================================================================O Watch the cut scenes after the fight. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Second Miltia free roam |WT63 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You gain control of Shion on the Second Miltia map. Head to the buildings in the centre of the map and enter the city. Use the save point and save your game. The green plate next to it is an E.V.S. that will take you back to the previous dungeons you have been in. Right now you can only go to Old Miltia but more will become available as you complete them in the story. Head north and turn right at the end of the path. Here you will run into agent bunnie. He will make you become a civil agent for the GS campaign. He will describe the details of it. Note this is a side-quest and is not necessary to do any of them however, the rewards you get for some of them are well worth it. These are one of two ways to get more double attacks and you also can get a lot of secret keys, which unlock abilities in the skills menu. I will point out when they become available and unless you are in a rush to finish the game you should do them. I am also assuming that you have done them as soon as they become available with one exception and some of the rewards might be included in a boss strategy. If you need help go to the GS campaign section of this guide. Now continue northeast up the stairs to the next area. Go forward passed the publishing agency and around. You will be stopped by Angelina who will give you the segment file. She will also give you decoder 6, which happens to open the door behind her. Go inside and collect Secret Key 3, which opens the focus 1 ability in the skill menu. Leave and continue going right. Go up the stairs and enter moby dick's cafe. Watch the cut scenes. GS 1,2,3,7,8,9 and 11 are now available. Go to the publishing agency regardless and in the room Miguel is in collect the Boost Max item and save it for a future boss fight. Once you finish them go to the Uzuki residence on the Second Miltia map. Watch all the cut scenes. When you gain control of chaos go back inside and collect the bio sphere from his backyard. Then destroy the door by the gate to the back yard to reveal segment address 9. Now go back inside and talk to Jun to do GS 5 to get decoder 1. You can also do GS 19 and 25 now. Once you have finished those head over to the U.M.N. control centre in Second Miltia. Go forward and through the big doors to the north. Head all the way to the back of this room and enter the door on the right for a cut scene. Now head back out of the big doors and go right. Enter this door for a cut scene. Now go back through the big doors and in the back this time talk to the guy on the left. A few cut scenes will occur. Now you're in control of Shion so exit this room and use the elevator to leave. Allen will catch you and you will leave together. Note that this is the last opportunity to do GS 1to earn psycho pocket. If you haven't done it yet go do so now, if you have continue to the U.M.N. center. If there is anything else you want to do, do it now because this is the last time you will be able to on this disc. When you are ready talk to Allen and tell him you are ready. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Subconscious Domain (Summer) |WT64 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the cut scenes you will be in control of Shion. You now need to make a fighting party. In addition to the four you had earlier you now have Shion and KOS-MOS to choose from. I would recommend you use chaos, jr and MOMO but the choice is up to you. Go inside the house and destroy the door at the base of the stairs and go to the back to collect Skill Upgrade Cx2. Now head up the stairs for a cut scene. When its over go back outside and enter the yellow glowing thing. After the cut scenes leave this area and follow the phantoms outside the front. Keep following the phantoms left and cross the bridge. Keep going left until a cut scene occurs. Then go back right and cross the bridge. Continue right to get another cut scene. After that head back inside and go right and through the next door on the screen. Now go back left and go through the big double door by the save point. Go forward and a cut scene will occur. You are now in the Subconscious Domain. Head left and destroy all the boxes for a fight and Revive Sx2. Now go save and head north passed the enemies. Use the trap to your advantage. When you get to the end go up the back of the truck and open the chest for Med Kit Mx2. Now head back to where you started and take the path on the right. Continue right to the next area. Here head forward and go towards the cabin. Attack the cabin 5 times to break it. You will need to remember where this is a long time from now. Go back on the normal path going left. Fight through all the enemies here to gain exp. Continue left to the next screen and go up to the fallen tree. Take a left and collect the Skill Upgrade Bx4. Head back to the fallen tree and go down it and take the path on the left past the enemies and destroy the tree. Cross the tree and go around the pathway. Past the rock there is a fork, go straight first and destroy the tree to make a short cut for yourself. Now go back and this time turn north and head to the next area. Continue forward past the enemy to the open field. Here you need to find the tree but DON'T destroy it yet, instead move right and destroy the first two stones you come across. Now destroy the tree. It will float until a rock stops it. Cross where it stops and pick up Decoder 4. Now leave the way you came in and come back. The tree is now back where it started. This time don't destroy any stones and destroy the tree to cross to the other side. Save your game and destroy the tree on this side to create another short cut. Go around and turn left the first chance you get to collect Antidote Hx2. Head back and take the next left pathway to lead you to the next area. Head north and cross the tree on the right. Stay on the right side when you get off and destroy a tree. Go where the tree ways and you will find a path. At the end jump down and collect the Boost Max and save it for the boss fights later. From there jump down and head left and at the end destroy the wall to create a final short cut to the beginning (where the cabin was). Now head right and go up the ramp. Cross the tree again and keep going north till you encounter a cut scene. A fight will begin. Once its done save your game and defeat all three enemies. Once you have done that save again and head north to the next area. A cut scene will occur and a boss will attack! Next fill up on stocks and boosts. Attack him until he uses central dogma repair program because he will counter boost, which would break up you combo. Heal with ether combo's if necessary, if Medica 2 is known by two characters you can combo that to heal a lot of hp. He will recover some Hp at the beginning and start recovering his system. Ok here's what you do, first use the boost max item IF you have TWO of them. If you only have one don't bother. Next cast aura sword on Jr if you have it, if not then don't worry. Next have Jr use his CC attack and boost MOMO. Have her unload her stock to break him, boost chaos. Attack with chaos' circle attacks and hope it is a boost event, boost Jr. Unload his stock and hope it's a boost event, boost chaos. If you have anymore boosts just keep switching between Jr and chaos because only they can hit really hard in this fight. An alterative to chaos would be KOS-MOS and the whole party under aura sword. It cranks up Jr's attack because of the double weakness plus physical attack. His Hp should either be gone with aura sword or around 700ish without it. From here just use standard attacks until he dies. Save you game here and destroy the crates on the left to get a Med Kit S. Head north past the enemies and destroy the box behind the sign to obtain Antidote Lx2. Go back south and turn east to the next area. Keep going east to the next area. Defeat all the enemies you come across in this dungeon because you need to gain levels for the final boss of disc one. Continue right and defeat the next enemy and go to the next area. Fight the gnosis and go down the broken tree stump. Go around the path and destroy the tree. Cross the tree and continue along. Be careful because the Infected U.R.T.V.'s come in packs and have incredible speed. Use you reserve characters to heal your hp before the fights. Keep going and destroy the rock to obtain Bio spherex2. Save them until a little later. Keep going around the path and destroy the tree to create a short cut. Now go the other way to the next area. Continue forward past the gnosis. Back to the tree puzzle, do the same as last time. The first two from the left will get you a bio sphere. Then go back to the previous area and come back. Now destroy the first three from the tree going right and then destroy the tree. Go to the end and cross the tree. Destroy the rock you can and pick up Skill Upgrade Bx4. Now leave and come back and just destroy the tree. Cross and save your game. Defeat the U.R.T.V. and take the left path to pick up Rejuvenator M. Then take the next left and head up to the next area. Use the trap to defeat the enemy. Then go left and collect Ether Pack M. Cross the tree on the right and stay right. Destroy the tree and go in the new path. Jump down at the end and register Segment Address 15. Jump down and go left to the end and destroy the wall to create a short cut for later. Then go back right and go up the ramp. Cross the right tree again and head north to the next area. Save your game. Now make sure you are at level 24 or higher and have at least two party characters knowing Medica 2. Also make sure you have a Boost Max and a Bio Sphere although if you don't it can't be helped and you didn't listen when I said save them. Head north using the path on the right and cross the tree. Instead you must attack his with attributes he is weak against, which is Pierce, Fire and Slash so Jr and MOMO are good choices for this battle. When you attack him about 5 times with a weakness and he guards against it his arms will be destroyed. This will destroy the break block effect as well as prevent his arm attacks until his arms regenerate. Ok so to start have everyone stock to three. Then have Jr and MOMO use basic attacks without using the stock to damage Albedo. Have the third character to use the Boost Max you should have saved and to heal the party when needed. Once his break block is down cast fire sword on your party if you have it and use a combo, preferably air him so he doesn't counter-boost at a high AC time. Hopefully this will bring his HP down to around to about 1500 or so. From here he will begin using Ether Spear and Soul Blast. From here you will need to use one character constantly heal and have the other two stock and combo again. Once this has been done he should be defeated. Just watch your HP when he starts using Soul Blast. He does tend to boost and use it again, which would devastate your HP especially with Shion, MOMO or Jr. O=============================================================================O After the battle watch the cut scenes and save your game when asked. This is the end of disc one. Insert disc two. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dammerung |WT66 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the cut scenes are over you will gain control of Shion. Leave the room using the door to the south. Take the path on the right all the way to the end and go through the door. Head down and go in the other door in the room. Inside this room find Allen and talk to him. Now go back to your room. Walk over to the bed and rest. A cut scene will occur. Once it is done head back to the room you found Allen in and another cut scene will occur. Once it finishes head back to in front of Shion's room and use the save point on the left. Keep going left and go down the elevator that doesn't have an X on it. Go down. After Allen is finished talking head around the path and use the trap before you open the door and fight the mech. Continue and fight the next mech. Keep going and go down the stairs. Destroy the boxes at the direct south for Med Kit Sx2. Now head east and destroy those boxes for Ether Pack Sx2. Head back slightly and turn south to enter a ship of sorts. Destroy the boxes on the left for a Med Kit M. Now attack the wall behind the car five times and collect decoder 18. Now head right and destroy the boxes along the bottom for a Rejuvenator DX. Next destroy the boxes along the top now and climb the ladder. Now to the first cannon will shoot at a conveyer belt where a box will pass by. One of them will be holding a secret key. Now head over to the other side and press the button by telling Allen to be quiet. A gun will start shooting and destroy a truck that was in your way. Go down the ladder and leave through the right exit. Go and collect Secret Key 7. Now head directly north and destroy the boxes to obtain a Med Kit L. Go to the save point and save your game. Head left and enter the first door and fight all the enemies in here until you are at least at level 29. Leave and come back to regenerate the enemies. You can alternate between this room and the large room to speed things up because the large room has more enemies per fight. Destroy the one that attacks and the other one will summon another one. This only happens once per battle though but it gives you more exp. Each room has a letter above it in orange. In room A you will find Segment Address 7. Room B has nothing. Room C has a fight. Room D has nothing. Room E has a fight. Room F has nothing. Room G has a fight. Room H is locked. Room I has a fight. Once you are at level 29 or higher use the next door to the left. Note that this is the best area for levelling up in the game. All your party members will gain 80% of the experience Shion gains here and the enemies are weak to her attacks. Since Shion gains all the experience and it is not split with others it makes the experience EACH CHARACTER gets higher than if you had a full party splitting it three ways. So if you want to you can stay here as long as you want and level up to any desired level and everyone else will be between 2 to 6 levels behind, depending on what there level was after the last boss and how long you train here. Anyways when you are ready head to the second door left of the save point. Enter it and destroy the column holding up the bridge. Destroy the boxes to the north and collect the Ether Pack M. Go on the bridge and use the trap to stun the enemy. Defeat him and continue north to the next area. This puzzle is quite confusing to explain. Start by going down the ladder. Head south to make the camera show all the boxes. Okay now the column of boxes on the right nearest to the ladder is column 1. The one next to it is column 2 and so on going left to column 6 at the end. Rows are counted as row one being the first set of boxes closest to you in a column. First destroy all the boxes in column one and two to uncover Segment Address 1 at the back. Go inside and collect Secret Key 8. Now go back out and use the red plate to reset the blocks. This part gets confusing; destroy the first four rows of boxes in the column six. Now destroy the box on the left so the black box drops one level. Now destroy two boxes in the last row of column six. Now destroy one box from the second and third row in column five. Destroy the first row in column four and one box from the second row of the fourth column. Now destroy the first and second row of column three and destroy one box in row three of column five to drop it down to two boxes. Now go up the ladder and head north and turn along the path you created. Destroy all the boxes in your path and cross the blocks. Why didn't we just do this? That's because the black boxes are indestructible. Once you're across head south through the door. Defeat the enemy and continue through this door. Next head right until a cut scene occurs. You can and should activate the elevator and go save your game. Go back up and head into the next room. Remember the locked room labelled Room H? You need to use these conveyer belts to drop into that room. Head down the stairs and get on the conveyer belt. It moves fast so pay attention, pass the first turn on the left, first one on the right, second one on the left and second one on the right. Turn into the third turn on the left and stay on this belt. DON'T turn off of it. You will land in the locked room. Head down the stairs, destroy the boxes in your way and climb the stairs to the top. Grab the Skill Upgrade Cx2 on the way. In the next room you can see the ship you want to steal through the window. Run across the room and go through the door. Head down the stairs to the next puzzle. In this room you want to tip the platform to raise the other side high enough to get to the exit. Destroy the block furthest left and the next one going right. Also destroy the next one going right. Now go up the stairs onto the platform and on in the left corner where you destroyed the first block. Stand in the little triangle to tip the platform. Now head to the southeast corner and stand in that little corner to drop the platform and destroy the box. Follow it back to where you just were tip the platform down on this side again. Collect Decoder 15 and run back to the other side but this time go onto the bridge part and go through the door to continue. If you make a mistake use the plate at the far north wall to reset the blocks. Save and fight the mechs in this area. Stay in the center of the room and head north until you get to the stage. Now go right but stay as close to the stage as possible. Once you get to the top of this part head across to the switch on the right. Activate it to stop the wind from blowing. Head over to the left side of the stage and use the ladder to climb up. Run into the center to activate it. A cut scene will occur. Save your game and head into the doors on the right. A scene will occur. Once it's over you can leave for Old Miltia but first leave the room and go back down the ramp. Keep going left and go through the doors to the cabin area. Enter the second cabin and destroy the object in the northwest corner to reveal Segment Address 2. Now head out and enter the room to the far left. Do GS 27 and then leave. Head back to the elevator and use it to go down to B1. Talk to the droid outside the Weaponry sign to begin the hardest GS in the game. You will have to pay off a debt of 10,000,000G. Refer to the GS section to get a good strategy of how to do this. Now that that's all done go talk to Matthews to go to Old Miltia. A cut scene will occur. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ormus Stronghold |WT68 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once you have control of your character form a party, which can now include Jin if you want. I recommend you keep using the same people you were using before but it is up to you. Head to the elevator you started in and go down. You are now in control of the E.S. You must now form a party with the E.S. I recommend using Asher and Zebulun. Asher has the best HP and physical stats and Zebulun can cast any ethers that MOMO has learned. Make Zebulun first and the Asher, the reason will come later. Also change the Co-Pilot for Zebulun. Move Ziggy with MOMO and keep chaos with Jr on the Asher. Equip any Auxiliary Armors to Zebulun and any EF Circuits to Asher. Once everything is done use the save point and head south. Keep following the path around and use the traps to help you. Keep going and fight the next enemy. Turn right at the fork and destroy the object at the end to reveal the yellow forbidden device. Remember its here. Go back and turn south. At the next fork head up the northwest path. In the next area is a puzzle. Go up to the spinners labelled "one" and attack the one on the right twice. Then attack the one labelled "two" once on the bottom side (closest to the camera) then attack the third one twice on the right side (facing the entrance). Attack the bottom one four times and the floor will break up and an elevator will come up, get on it and take it down. Go inside the door and go through the next door. Exit the E.S. when asked. Go left and use the save point. Go through the door and activate the red button inside the yellow circle. No go back and get inside the E.S. and go back up the elevator. Go back to the last fork and this time go south. Go through the enemy and attack the door twice to destroy it. Enter and head forward. Destroy all the doors you coma across in this area. Head east, then north, then east to the end, head down the ramp and go south, then go west again and down the ramp to the south. Collect the G Slow Guard. Go back north, east and north. Go up the ramp on the right and keep going north down the next ramp. Head east and go up that ramp to collect the charge recover. Equip it to one of your E.S. probably Asher because of its high HP. Head back down the ramp and go west, north down the ramp. Go north, west and south. Attack the enemy and go west to the next area. Destroy all the objects in this area to obtain Nano Repair Zx2, Nano Repair Ax4, Nano Spherex2 and another Nano Repair Ax2. Remember all these items can only be used outside of battle. Use the save point. Use the elevator and destroy the box on the way up. Go through the door and get ready for a boss fight! Target Pilum for all your attacks unless you need to lower Scutum's IA. Remember to use the Critical hit up slot wisely, because each time a mech is hit with a critical hit, friend or foe, its intercept attack rate will be cut in half. Also remember you must stock to attempt to an intercept. Only really try to intercept an attack if your IA is 80 or higher. All of Asher's basic attacks work well against Pilum. When Richard starts to lose control and starts to charge have Zebulun start healing Asher because if you did what I asked and put Asher second the attack will hit him no matter what. It will do around 7000 damage to Asher. He will move back to use the attack. Once Pilum loses a large amount of Hp Scutum will cast Hero Shield, which will absorb half the damage Pilum takes. When Scutum loses a lot of Hp it will cast Armor Field to raise its defence. Shot buster is effective against Scutum so try to use it a lot once Pilum is out of the way. Once Pilum is gone the battle should ease up a bit. Remember to use Medica 2 if either of your E.S.'s HP falls below 2000. Zebulun takes priority because it can revive. O=============================================================================O Head forward and activate the switch to create the bridge. Now head all the way back to the area where you can leave your E.S. Save your game when you get there. Head through the door and run across the unblocked path. Collect Secret Key 14 from the chest along the way. Head through the door at the end of the path to the next area. Go up the ladder and go left and try to use the trap on the enemy. Enemies here tend to come in pack of three or four so be careful. Go up the belt and fight the enemy. After attack the wall five times to destroy it and collect Class Upgrade Bx6. Run inside and collect Decoder 2. Continue going right but don't go on the ladder. Instead so south at the ladder and destroy the box to lower a ramp. This will come in handy later. Collect the Class Upgrade Cx6 and go up the ladder. Save you gave and head through the door on the right. Cross the bridge to the next area. Go down the spiral staircase taking down all the enemies that stand in your way. Once at the bottom go through the door to the next area. In this room there is a tower of crates. To push the crates attack them from the right (door side) to destroy them attack from the front (south side). Push the first one, destroy the second, push the third one, push the fourth one, destroy the fifth and sixth ones and push the seventh one. Now head down the ladder and destroy the first one to raise the platform to level seven. Enter the door on the left. In this room there are six blue crates that you must use to create a path. They should look like this: ---- -- <-Wall 2 N 1 3 4 W E 5 S 6 Not the best diagram I know but it should do the trick. Ok now when you push them they will slide until something stops them. Push 5 north so it collides with 2. Then push it east so it collides with 3. Then push it north so it stops at the wall. Now push 6 north into 2 and then east into 3. Leave it here. Now go push 2 into the wall. Now push 5 west into 2 and then push it north into the hole. Next push 6 into the wall and then into 2. Push that block into the hole and it will slide over 5 into the next slot. Next push 1 into 3 and push it against the wall and into the hole like the others. Do the same thing with 3 and 4 to create a bridge for you to cross. Cross to the other side and you will see green crates. These move one square in the direction you push it in. 12345 -- B --- <-Wall L []<-Segment Address 13 U E It should look something like that but slightly more detailed. What you want to do is push each block one at a time into the empty space on the right of the blue blocks (labelled blue on the diagram). Start by pushing 4 south two to start the bridge. Next move 5 one west and three south to fit in the next area. Next move 2 south one, two east, two south and then one more east. Next move 3 one east, three south and then two east. Finally move 1 three east, three south and three east. Go on the path and Register Segment Address 13. You don't have the Decoder yet but you wont have to do this puzzle again. Now leave the green path and use the door east of where the green blocks were. Save you game and continue. You have to use these tubes to take you down to the bottom. The blue tubes take you up and the yellow tubes take you down. This may get confusing so pay close attention. Use the yellow tube to your south to go down. Pass the first tube and use the next on to go up. Pass the first tube again and use the second one to go down. Go along the path here and turn. Fight the enemy and decode Segment Address 4. Collect Secret Key 9 and learn the skill Expansion Pack because it allows you to equip one more skill for a total of four. Leave and head up using the blue one. Use the next tube to go up. Next use the only yellow tube to go down. Then use the blue tube to go back where you started. Save if you want. Now go down the yellow tube again. Take the blue tube up and use the first yellow tube to go down. Use the next tube to go down and then use the yellow tube to go down. Use the next yellow tube to go down and fight the enemy. Take the blue tube up and use the yellow tube to go back down. Turn right and use the green tube to go down to the next area. SAVE YOU GAME. The next boss is one of the hardest you will fight in this game. It's a good idea to teach Ice Veil to two characters. It can combo into ice wall. Also make sure the whole party can cast Break Sensors. Use the blue tube to go up and enter the next area using the path at the middle of the path (might seem invisible). Second Virus -Stats return to normal Manes Restraint -Transforms back to Orgulla Orgulla starts off the battle with Sealed Throne, which will steal your boost count and prevent you from moving. Have a character for only healing and support magic. Have a back up healer and make sure all three can revive. Regardless of your party make sure someone can air her. Break her then launch her into the air and have the second character (middle) move to the other side. Then switch back to your original party. We did this for two reasons, first this way her scatter shot attack only hits one person or on rare occasions two people and second because attacking from behind ensures a 100% accuracy rating meaning she can't dodge it and if you noticed already she has a high evasion rate. You can cast Break Sensors if you want but there is a high resistance against it. Steal both of her items and then start attacking her. Start using combos around 15000HP. When Manes awakens a lot of her stats change. She gets a new break zone and a new set of attacks. This is the more deadly form of the two because she will boost after attacking your character and use another attack. The problem with that is her attacks air and down so you take even more damage. What's worse it all her attacks are ice-elemented, which will carry an AC chain to all her attacks but that's why we learned ice veil. Combo it into ice wall as soon as she transforms. Don't let her attack on the boost Event Slot because she that means she can now add one more attack against you after the first attack. I don't recommend you use MOMO or Shion for this part because there HP and defense are just to low. When she transforms back she will use eve of the assassin to raise her status defense and increase her poison effect rate. Take note that every time she transforms from one form to the other her items are restocked so you can steal Skill Upgrade E every transformation and another Awakening II every time she transforms to the first form. This is called the Orgulla farming trick because if you steal 20 Awakenings you can pay off the captain's debt (GS 32) because each awakening sells for 500,000G. O=============================================================================O Once the battle ends destroy one of the four electric glowing pillars. Doing that will drop the core of the stronghold into the water by the save point. Now leave the room and use the yellow tube to go down and SAVE YOUR GAME. It's the last chance you will get in this dungeon and you'll see why in a minute. Go down the ramp into the core unit. There is a fuse path that you must navigate to get the bombs to hit the end all at the same time. Go up to the switch but don't touch it. Head to the first slider on the right and move it down. Now move to the second one on the right side and move it up. Go back to the switch and head up to the first one on the left. Move it down. The next one on the left must be pushed down as well. Finally push the one left of the last one closest to the bottom of the screen. Leave the last one where it is. Now go to the switch and activate it. If it didn't work you can reset the fuses and try again. If it did work you will have thirty minutes to get back to the Elsa. The timer will continue through battles so you must end them fast. Ok so leave and use the green tube to go up. Notice the save point is gone? I figure they took out the save points in case you lose a lot of time and make it so there is no way you can get to the in time so you aren't forced to start a new game. Anyways no saving so if you need to heal use your reserve party members or a bio sphere. Go north once you get off the green tube (don't fight this enemy) use the second blue tube to go up. Fight this enemy and go up this blue tube. Go up the next blue tube on the right and then go up the blue tube on the left. Take the next blue tube on the left. Then use the blue tube at the end followed by the blue tube on the left (south). Now leave this area using the door on the path to the left. Cross the blue bridge and leave this area. Go on the elevator and use it. Leave this area. Now for the hardest part, climb up the spiral stairs to the top. Try to have 25 min remaining when you enter and about 12 min left. Cross the bridge to the next area. Go down the ladder and press square to activate a trap and freeze an enemy. Head south and use the ramp you created earlier to make a short cut. Head down the ladder and go through the door. Run to the other side and go through the door. Enter the E.S. and make sure everything is equipped the way you want it. You may want to equip Asher with the tuned circuit you should of stole from Pilum. Also if you have Anti-Fire Armor equip it. Once everything is the way you want it head out for a cut scene and a boss battle! O=============================================================================O E.S. Cast veils to lower her damage more and cast swords to element an attack that she is weak against. If you can get an AC chain going for ice or aura be sure to use a special move at the end to do massive damage. Just keep attacking and this boss shouldn't give you to much trouble. O=============================================================================O Watch the cut scene's and save your game when prompt to. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Foundation Free Roam |WT69 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There are a few things we need to do before we head to Old Miltia. First off make a party and head to the park area inside the Durandal. Once there head into the park and talk to the Realian. Select the second answer and then the first answer to obtain Decoder 11. Now go to the Elsa and head for Old Miltia. Enter the city using the E.S. and return to the Elsa. We did this to open up a few more GS campaigns. Now we have a lot of new GS campaigns open. Do GS 4,6,10,12,14,15,17,18,20,22,23,29 and 33. You must finish some of them to open some of the other ones. As usual go to the GS section of the guide if you need any help doing them. While doing this be sure to open Segment Address 2,7,11,14 and 15 to collect those goodies. You need to open 14 to get decoder 7. At this point if you have enough skill points make sure you have learned Experience Up +10, Combo Boost and Expansion Pack for your pilots (Jr and MOMO if you are following this guide). Together they cost 8200 skill points. If you don't have that many points learn those abilities in that order. Now there is one more thing to do before we go back to Old Miltia, and that is to talk about why those specific abilities should be learned. There are 17 Abilities that an E.S. can use. If it is a mastered ability the pilot (Jr, MOMO or KOS-MOS) must know them for them to take affect. If they are equip able then the pilot must have the skill equipped themselves for it to have an effect in the E.S. The mastered skills are: Focus 1, Focus 2, Exp+10, Exp+15, Lost Agl, Guard and Inner Peace. The Equip skills are Rare+10, Rare+30, ST Resist+20, ST Resist +30, EP Regen, EP Half, CRTC+5, Revenge Power, Rebound and Combo Boost. The most useful equip abilities in my opinion are Combo Boost, Rebound and Revenge Power and ST Resist+30 for Asher and Dinah and Combo Boost, Rebound, and any combo of these three, EP half/Rare+30/ST Resist+30 depending on how you fight. CRTC+5 isn't all that useful, ST Resist+20 and Rare+10 are useless because they have better skills of the same type. EP Regen doesn't supply much EP compared to a focus 1 or 2,Inner Peace and rebound set-up because then you are encouraged to stock for all the extra evasion and EP. Anything that deals with EP is useless with Asher and Dinah anyways. Any chance you get to learn these abilities I recommend you do simply because the E.S.'s don't have as much flexibility as characters so if the right abilities aren't known the battle can go down hill in an instant. Remember only pilots can use these abilities in the E.S. so if you followed my recommendation you would be using Jr. and MOMO anyways. Make sure to equip any E.S. skills and talk to Matthews to go back to Old Miltia. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Submerged City |WT70 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fist thing to do is equip the EMAX300 to Zebulun and make sure to have Ziggy as co-pilot. Why? Zebulun has a 300-charge attack regardless of who is the co- pilot but also has a second one if Ziggy is the co-pilot. This gives it two strong attacks as appose to one. Asher should have Tuned Circuit and Charge Recover still equipped from the last battle, if it doesn't equip them. Now go along the path to the next area. Destroy the objects and fight the mech. Attack the bridge to lower it. Go up and follow the path around to another mech. Now go forward a little and turn left. Get out of your E.S. and register Segment Address 10. Get back in and go right and then north. Continue forward passed all the debris and mechs. Collect the G Weak Guard from one of the rocks and keep going forward to the next area. Start going and fight the mech in the northern path. Exit the E.S. and open Segment Address 18 to obtain Secret Key 16. Now get back in the E.S. and take the south path. Pick up the Nano Repair A and Nano Repair Z. Fight through the mechs and continue on. Head forward and fight the pink mech. He absorbs beam, fire and thunder attacks. Once he is defeated use the save point a little ahead. Go north and go up the little ramp. Collect the Nano Repair A and attack the bridge to make it drop. Cross over and turn left into the new area. Take the south path and destroy the debris and fight a mech hiding. Keep going and collect the Nano Repair Z. Head up the ramp to the south and fight a pink mech again. Destroy the rocks and collect Decoder 9. Now head back down and continue going left. Collect the Nano Spherex2 from the rocks on the right but keep going left. Fight the mech and head to the next area. Fight another pink mech. Go forward and collect the G Poison Guard. Then turn left and go around the rail. Knock the bombs into the water, then go down and attack the bombs to create an explosion clearing the water that was blocking the way. Go use the save point and continue along to the next area. Go forward and watch a cut scene. Kulga Valy Attacks: Homing Laser ~ 600 Single/Ether/Beam Break Armor -Single/L Weak What makes this boss rather hard is that there are infinite amounts of Kulga Valy that attack you from all sides. There is a max of four on the field at one time but when you destroy one they are replaced a few turns later. The way around this however is only one can be replaced on the field at a time unlike some of the previous mechs in this area. You will need to use all attacks to hit them all at once. Next try to steal both the items off the boss since both can be useful to you. Now as for the boss he will put shields up. The slot he puts the shield up on is when you need to attack him. It will reduce the effect and the second time the shields will be gone for a while. When the ether room gets damaged he won't be able to attack. When he does fire cannon 1 have Zebulun heal the craft that got hit. When you do get his HP to around 3000, stock up to full EC and make sure you have full boost. This is because when you defeat him he will counter-boost with 6000 HP and launch a final attack before being defeated. You don't want this so have Zebulun use Aird and follow up with Shot Buster or Vice-Versa. Use one more attack if necessary. O=============================================================================O Once the battle is over continue going right. After they talk to each other collect the Nano Repair A and G ST Double. Then destroy the barricade and get out of your E.S. go down the stairs to enter the next dungeon. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Labyrinthos |WT71 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Save your game and go left. Turn left and cross the bridge. Now go south and collect Med Kit Sx2. Go down the stairs and fight the mech. Go north and up the ladder. Destroy the door and fight the mech. Collect Secret Key 13 from the box he was guarding. Now go south and turn left. Push the button to open the gate. Go back down the ladder and back up the stairs. This time go down the stairs on the left and go to the end of the path to the next area. In this area you must level off both sides of the water to make a path that you can cross on both sides. To do this push the 6 button, then the two, then the five, then the six then finally the two button. This will bring both sides to zero. Now go around to the left and go up the ladder. Go down the stairs and go up the ladder on the other side and leave. Head down the stairs here and go up the ladder to the south. Defeat the enemy and go through the door. A cut scene will occur. Head through the door to the north and turn right. Destroy the webs and continue. Next turn north and destroy the webs here. Fight the enemy. There are three paths here. The path to the right to an enemy, the path to the north leads to a Segment Address and the path to the left leads to a train. Now because the decoder is a little ahead we are going to hold off on the Segment Address and instead take the left path to the next area. Use the save point and use the train. Once you get off collect the Med Kit S from the boxes and then head north to the next area. What we have in this area is an elevator that is blocked by two bars. The bars can be moved using switches on the higher level. Start by going right at the circle and turn down the first branch off the circle. In this area we must climb ladders so destroy the boxes and go up the ladder to the top. Get off and destroy the boxes to the south to get an Antidote L. Now destroy the boxes to the north and fight the enemy. Destroy the next boxes to obtain a Med Kit M. Now go down the ladder to the lowest level and destroy the boxes. Destroy the next boxes for a Rejuvenator DX in a chest. Now go up to the highest level and destroy those boxes to gain access to the next area. In this area there are spinners that move the walls that are attached to them. Here is a wonderful diagram: 1 2 3 4 5 Basically it looks like that. I will tell you the order to hit them in. If it says a number twice hit it twice. Start with 4,1,1,1,2,3,3,5. Now go collect the Class Upgrade Bx6. Now go back up and begin again with: 3,5,5,5,3,4,4,2,2,5,3. Now go and collect the Boost Max. Remember to save this and any Rejuvenators or Revive DX's for the boss fights. Never use these in a normal battle unless they are your last object and have no EP left to cast ethers. Go back up and do: 3,3,1,1,3 and leave this area. Go down the path and press the button to open the green bar from the elevator. Now go down using the elevator and use the save point. Go and fight the mech to the north. Collect Decoder 5 from the chest he was guarding. Now go around the ring going counter- clockwise and turn at the next branch off the ring. Go up the stairs and fight the enemy. Go up the stairs and push the button. Now go down and go under the two blocks and turn north passed the enemy and turn left. Collect the Rejuvenator E. Save this as usual. Now go back and lower both the bridges you passed under a few minutes ago. Cross the bridges and fight the enemy along the way. Raise the bridge after the enemy and continue. Collect the bio sphere and lower the next block. Cross over and go down. Go under the block that you raised and use the door. Now for a block challenge. When you push a block it will stretch out for as many blocks as there are stacked. Here is a diagram of the area: North S E 12 3 45 6 LL S=Skill Upgrade Dx5 E=Exit L=Ladder That is how the blocks are laid out. Ok now we are going to push block 1 north, block 2 south, block 3 north, then block 6 south , then block 4 south and finally block 5 north. You can screw up if you don't do this in the order specified. If you screw up use the button at the top of the ladder to reset. Cross your bridge to collect Skill Upgrade Dx5. Then use your bridge to leave via exit. Go around and press the button to remove the final lock on the elevator. Go down and save. Now remember the path to Segment Address 5? Go all the way back there and follow it to the end and open it to get Secret Key 20. Don't forget about the boxes outside, destroy them for Antidote Hx2. Now go back to the elevator and save your game. Go down the elevator and use the big doors to leave. Go forward for a little message event. Go left and use the elevator to go up. Raise the structure using the red button on the south side, then go back down using the elevator. Go in the center of the structure and push the button. Now go back up and cross the structure. Once your across lower the structure and go down the stairs and go around to the front and enter through the big doors for a cut scene. Once it is over press the button behind Canaan to open the lock downstairs. Go back out and use the elevator on this side to go down. Head north through the unlocked door and use the elevator to go down. Save your game. Jin will not be in your party until the boss fight so have someone else fill in for him, KOS-MOS or Ziggy will work fine. If that happens to be your party use chaos and if your party didn't include Jin it really doesn't matter then. Collect the Bio Sphere and Antidote H from the boxes then open the door to the north. You must fight these enemies but there are only three. When you defeat all three GO BACK AND SAVE YOUR GAME! Now go back and enter the big doors and prepare for a boss fight after the really cool cut scene. Keep in mind though that Jin has to end the battle. If you kill him with any other character Margulis will counter-boost and survive with one HP. This will also cause a problem because one of your party members will not gain the class and skill points from this battle so you will have to choose who will miss out on them. However if Jin is a regular party member no need to worry. Also take note that if you lose all ways of reviving Jin you will lose (how that happens I don't know since by now you should know Revert). Next steal both items from him. When he creates a shadow you can steal the same items from it as the real thing, which means more Awakenings for the captains debt. His shadow can attack just like he can but it will only use his sword attacks. He will absorb all attack damage but it will take off the real Margulis' HP so single attacks are better used against the shadow but combos are still better with the real Margulis. When he uses all attacks if your HP for all three characters is low use the Rejuvenator E item, which will heal everything to everyone. As the majority of his attacks carry pierce or slash element the matching coat would help reduce damage quite a bit, even more with both I would assume though I'm not sure. As far as strategy goes make use of the boost max you picked up earlier and make sure everyone has the same attack element for combos. Attacker and Ether Spear can also increase the damage he will take. When the shadow appears attack it with normal attacks to drain HP from Margulis. It seems the shadow takes more damage for normal attacks so unless you are doing a large combo that involves air or down keep attacking the shadow. When he starts charging up for H stop you must defeat him before he uses it on you because unless you guard the status off (which I'm not sure if you can or not!) it will end the battle instantly. Make sure Jin ends it or he will counter-boost and keep going. Try to kill him on the skill bonus. Next you need to go open Segment Address 13 in the Ormus Stronghold. When you get out of your E.S. in the next room there will be a hole you can jump down to take you to the room with the Segment Address. Collect the Robot Head and dive out. Next go to the Iron Man bar and inspect the piano. Play the Iron 4 theme song to unveil Segment Address 16. Collect the Right Leg and Decoder 3. Now go to Second Miltia and go to the Uzuki Residence. It is a good ability to have however it cost's 9600 skill points so if there are no other skills you want or need to learn for a character save up for this. Get back on your E.S. and use the elevator to go down one level and get off. Collect the Nano Sphere from the box and continue down to the next area. Get off on the next stop and save your game. Next go to the other side to get a Nano Repair Z. Now go down and use the trap on the mech. Go left and get out of your E.S. and head through the door. Use the trap here and destroy the large crates in the top left corner of the room. Go up the stairs and fight the mech. Continue up the stairs and go through the first door. Cross the bridge and turn right. Go to the end and fight the guard and pick up Secret Key 24 from the blocks he was guarding. Now go all the way to the left and push the button to open the door for the E.S. Now go back across the bridge and go through the door. This time go right and go through this door. Push the button to open the first door for the E.S. Now head back to the E.S.'s and get in. Go through the two doors that you opened. Keep going until you get to a dead end. Get out of your E.S. and enter the next area using the elevator on foot. You need to turn the power on to move the elevator the E.S.'s are sitting on (how convenient). Go all the way to the bottom of the stairs and save your game. Then use the elevator to go down to the lowest level. Turn on the power to the A.M.W.S. elevator and go all the way back up to the top of the stairs where the first switch was. Start the A.M.W.S. elevator and start running down the stairs. There are two switches that you must push to open a path for the E.S. to go down. The first is on the bottom of the first set of stairs you go down. Go to the button and press circle and when it asks yes or no wait until the elevator is right above the red thing on the button pad and press yes. Then rush all the way down the third floor and run up to the button. Mash the circle button as soon as you get close to the switch and hopefully you will open the second gate. If you don't it will bounce off and you will have to start again. Now go down the stairs and save. Go down the elevator and get on the E.S. Walk forward a little and a boss will ambush you! Then charge Zebulun to 300EC and have it cast Flame Sword on Asher. Make sure you have full boost and have Asher start attacking the boss and combo boosting until there is one boost left. Don't worry about guarding because it tend to do that a lot. Then boost Zebulun and have it use Meteor Blast. The attack should do between 18000-20000 damage if you had a low AC chain. You can try doing that again but I found that it counter-boost rate goes up after that, though that might be just me. If you want you can just have Zebulun charge to 300 again and have Asher attack with Flame Sword without combining any of it and it should drop. Once it loses 30000 or so HP it will start boosting and use quick. Remember you can combo ethers with Zebulun regarding you have combo boost learned. Just don't use beam, ice or thunder attacks because he will absorb them. Also I don't know what the counter-boost settings do thus I have not included them in the strategy. Just know that they will change when it analyzes you. O=============================================================================O Head forward through the door and equip the auto recover to one of your E.S. This accessory will revive one E.S. with 50% of its health if it is defeated in battle. It only happens once per battle though. Anyways in this area you have to attack the blocks from one side to destroy them. So just attack all the green sides and eventually you will destroy them all. Collect the Charge Boost, G Ether PD Guard and Nano Sphere from the chests. Once you destroy them all head through the exit at the northwest corner. There are two paths you can take here. One is an E.S. path to the left and the other is a character path current blocked by blocks. The path for the E.S. is pretty straight forward so I will talk about the character path. You can take whichever path you want but remember the rest of the bosses are with characters so if your character levels are low (below 40) I strongly suggest you take the character path. Your E.S. wont have another boss fight until the post game side quests anyways. Now the block puzzle is quite hard to explain so here is a diagram: 8 B RB Y 7 YBYRBYYBB 6 BYRBRRYBBY 5 BYRBYRYBRY 4 BBBBYRBBYY 3 RYYYRRYRRR 2 RRYBRYBBRB 1 YRBRRYRRYY 1234567890 B=Blue Block Y=Yellow Block R=Yellow Block #=Column/Row Number So that's what it looks like without color. We need to destroy enough blocks so that there are two in each column to make a bridge. Notice that I gave each column and row a number. What you are going to do here is I will give coordinates and you must destroy the block at those coordinates. The first number represents the column while the second number represents the row. Destroy the blocks in this order: 9.5 8.4 9.4 9.1 0.3 7.3 5.1 3.1 1.1 2.3 3.3 3.3 2.3 2.3 6.3 If you did this correctly then the bridge should be complete and you should see a zoom of the door you have to go through. Go save now and get out of your E.S. Go all the way to the right and destroy the object to obtain Skill Upgrade Bx4. Now go left, destroy the first door and enter. Collect the Med Kit DX and leave. Go in the next door and fight the mech. Collect the Boost Max and leave. Cross the bridge and cross the block bridge. Destroy the door and go inside. Fight the Ormus Knight and continue. Take the path before the second Ormus Knight and pick up Secret Key 27. Now fight the second enemy, push the button and go through the door. If you want to destroy the pillars there are items but also enemies that have over 10000HP and will attack with an extremely strong move and regenerate their HP. The items are Ether DX, Ether Pack M and Skill Upgrade C. Keep going straight until you get to a room with a glass bridge and a big tower. Destroy the big tower to reveal a save point. Save your game. Now is a good time to learn the ether Safety Level. This will help immensely in the upcoming battles. If you can't afford it wait until after the next battle to get it. Aura Veil and Coat will also help and can be learned after the next boss. Once you are ready use the platform to go to the next area. Go forward a bit and a boss will ambush you! The same happens if a female attacks call to arms but it will use Sodom Quake, which is far more deadly. Try to keep it in White Robe mode as long as possible. Not attacking it during Wheel of Memory changes it to the White Robe form. Also know that you cannot air this enemy. Just keep it in White Robe form and use elemental combos to drop its HP. MOMO can be used if you wish because of the pierce property. Don't use Shion because her attacks will do next to no damage and you can't chain her attacks anyways. As for strategy the boss will use fairly weak attacks in its first form so don't worry too much. Start by moving the center character behind him. Then stock up and fill your boost gauge. Then have a character use Boost Max and fill up the boost again. Then use aura sword on everyone because the rest are resisted so the damage is lower, then let loose with attacks. A Chain of 15 or more attacks can take him out or severely damage him. Once you defeat him he will fall over and a fake post battle screen will appear. Then he will revive himself and gain more HP. The one big difference besides more attacks is the use of proto omega. When he starts talking about proto omega on its next turn it will use it's U.M.N. Phase Transfer attack, which hits the party for a lot of damage. Also if the boss's turn happens to be before Omega's turn he will likely use Crossroads of Dimensions, which attempts to air you, making Omega's attack a virtual one hit kill. So to stop this cast Safety Level on at least two characters and make sure they all stock to raise their Evasion with Inner Peace. If the attack does hit then you will survive with one HP and if it doesn't hit, no problem. As for the rest use the same tactics you use in the first form but you may need two combos to get the job done. O=============================================================================O Now watch the cut scenes. Once they are all done you will have Jr. in your party. If you don't use him make sure you teach him the memory skill. Head over to the park and a few cut scenes will occur. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Space Time Anomaly |WT74 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ok the final Dungeon and it is literally straightforward. Start by saving your game. Then go forward into a pink vortex to trigger a cut scene. Once that is done do the same thing and another cut scene will occur. Keep going forward and a third cut scene will occur. Then go through two more and the battle with the final boss will occur. O=============================================================================O Albedo HP=5300 Type=Bio W.Atk=Physical W.Atr=Au Break=Changes Exp=0 Skill=0 Class=0 Item=None Rare Item=None Difficulty: Impossible to lose Recommended Level: None Albedo's Attacks: Ice Blast ~350 Single/Ether/Ice Miracle Star ~420 Single/Ether Eternal Chain ~900 Single/Ether/Aura Safety Level -Survive with one HP Regenerate Space time -Heals Jr's HP Regenerate Conscious -2650HP Recovery Basically just keep breaking him. Once you get the first one keep attacking his new break with the Memory skill. He will basically mock you through out the whole battle and will cast Safety Level on you so you can't die in this battle. When he dies he will cast Eternal Chain but you will survive with One HP no mater what. Don't worry about healing; Albedo will do that for you. O=============================================================================O Once you finish the battle a series of cut scenes will occur. Following them will be the credits. After which will occur one more cut scene. Once it ends save your clear save data. You can reload this data unlike the Ep.I save data. Loading clear data opens up an epilogue like story with the rest of the GS, Segment Address and four new dungeons'. It will also re-open the omega system so you can fight the patriarch again and again, however you also have to go through the space-time Anomaly again and watch the credits. This is the last way to pay off the captain's debt using 500,000G items. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Epilogue |WT75 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ You will see the Professor standing by you when you load your clear save file. Run towards him and he will start talking to you and take you to the robot factory. After he talks to you go to Second Miltia and talk to the other Professor. He will give you Sequencer B. Ok now we are going to do GS 13 and 24. Start GS 21 and 28 and leave GS 36 alone for now. Ok now go to the Elsa and use the U.M.N. plate to dive into the Omega System using characters. Go all the way down to the elevator and use it to take you to the bottom floor. Go through the large door to the north that had to be opened for the E.S. Destroy the boxes in the corner to obtain Decoder 10. Now go back to the elevator and go up to the save point and save. Now cross the bridge that was to small for the E.S. and keep going down the path. Collect the Bio Sphere in the next area and use the elevator at the end. Fight the mech and continue through the door. Turn right and continue. Now there are three towers of blocks that can only be destroyed from the side that is green. C3 C2 C1 Start by destroying the blocks that are facing south in C1 and C2 (towards the camera). Next go down the elevator and destroy one block facing west from C1. Now go up the elevator and cross C1 to gain access to C3. Destroy the two blocks facing south. Then go down the elevator and destroy two more blocks from C3 that are facing west. Now go up the elevator and cross C3 and collect the Skill Upgrade Dx20. Now go down the elevator and destroy all the blocks in C1 and one block in C2. Go back up and cross C2 to collect Class Upgrade Cx10. Now go down and destroy all the blocks in C3 and attack the block in C2 from the gap past C3. Now go and destroy the last block in C2 and collect Secret Key 25. We are done here so dive out and dive into the Submerged City. Make your way to Segment Address 10 and open it to obtain Secret Key 26. Now on with the hunt for Dark Professor, dive into the Ormus Stronghold and head to the yellow forbidden device and use the Sequencer B to activate it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Desert |WT76 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Use the save point to the left. Now you will see a series of sand pits and pillars in the center to the desert. Attack them all to obtain G Ether PD Guard, G Lost Guard, Nano Repair A and three Gnosis battles. Next head right and go up the ramp and fight the Gnosis. Continue past it and get out of the E.S. Open Segment Address 8 and collect the Robot Part Body, the final part of Erde Kaiser. Now get back on the E.S. and head left under a bridge and pick up the Nano Repair A. Go up the ramp and cross the bridge. Fight the gnosis and collect the G Poison Guard. Now go as far north as possible and find a wall that you can attack and do so until it falls. Go through and head forward. Cross the bridge and take the path on the right. Destroy the blocks to obtain Nano Repair A. Fight the gnosis and continue north. Collect the G Stun Guard from the next area and head back to the bridge. Take the left path and push the button to rotate the bridge. Head north and collect the Nano Repair Z. Collect the Nano Repair A from the blocks in the next area and head under the bridge. Fight the gnosis and go left. Collect the Nano Sphere from the blocks. Go down the bridge and take the left path. Fight the gnosis and collect the Nano Sphere and continue forward. Collect the Power Shield and make you way back to the bridge. Take the right path this time and collect the Poison EP Guard. Now take the North path on the bridge back. Take the North path at the intersection in the next area and collect the Nano Repair Z and head through the opening to the next area. Collect the G Bind Guard and head back. Now take the right path at the intersection. Collect the Nano Repair Z and fight the gnosis. Head to the next area and save your game. Make sure you are at least at level 42 or higher and engage the enemy you see for a boss fight! If you do it will power up and make the battle a lot harder than it already is. Just stock or cast support ethers during this time. Steal the item if you want though it isn't all that great. Move one E.S. to the other side as well. When it says it bows to the visitors that's when you can begin to attack. Make sure you have full boost and EC. Have Zebulun use Aird while Asher boosts and uses Odin Buster. With Odin Buster on a critical hit event slot behind the enemy it can do around 25000, which is a good chunk of its HP. You should be able to do it again without much trouble. Once it loses about half of it's HP it will start to increase it's gear speed which will make it faster as well as start stunning your characters with Dream Sting. Just try to stock and use Odin Buster and Aird on ether or critical event slots. The other thing is when it "stocks" and if it has a high IA it will intercept long-range attacks and blast you for about 13000 damage. O=============================================================================O Head forward to the next area. Open the chest for Sequencer C and use the yellow dive device to dive back to the Ormus Stronghold. The other path that you must get out for leads to the fourth Forbidden Device and must be unlocked by defeating all three bosses and acquiring Sequencer D so remember this path. Dive out of the Ormus Stronghold and talk to the Professor to obtain the Erde Kaiser. Which one you get depends on how you did in GS 27. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Factory |WT77 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dive into Subconscious Domain Summer and go to the Red Forbidden Device. Use the Sequencer and you will be in the Factory. Note you must have started GS 21 or you will not be able to finish the Dungeon. If you haven't started it yet go do that now. Head forward and turn left. Go up the stairs and fight the gnosis. Head forward and collect the Antidote Lx2 then turn right. Go north and turn left here. Destroy the boxes in the last column to obtain Med Kit Sx2. Then destroy the boxes in the middle column and head south. Next destroy the boxes on the right to obtain Boost Max, then destroy the ones on the left and go down that path down the conveyer belt and challenge the gnosis. Keep going and lower the ladder. Then cross the bridge to the next area. Activate the elevator and go down to the elevator and use it to cross the gap. Continue into the next area and get past the gnosis. Take the south path for a bio sphere, then the east path down the stairs. Save your game and continue south past the gnosis and destroy the blocks on the left Med Kit L. Continue forward and around the elevator to the next area. Take the south path, then the next south path to obtain Secret Key 29. Now use the elevator to the north. Once it stops head down the conveyer belt and turn right. Fight the gnosis and turn left to collect Antidote Hx2. Use the elevator to go up and activate the ladder. Keep going south first and push the button to activate the elevator. Now go down the ladder and save your game. Go south and west and take the elevator down. Head through the door and continue forward past the gnosis. Turn left and destroy the box to obtain a Bio Sphere. Then turn right and collect the Skill Upgrade D. Go left and leave through the door. Go down and to the end and activate the crane to destroy the boxes. Then go back up the ladder and head back to the previous area and go down this ladder. Fight the gnosis and go down the conveyer belt and turn to the next area. Run across the bridge to the next area and head north. Destroy the boxes to the left and collect the Ether Pack DX. Save your game here. Go back and continue north up the stairs. Turn north and then west and destroy the box to obtain a Bio Sphere. Then go south and follow the path to the next intersection. Head north and follow this pathway around down the stairs. Fight the gnosis and collect Secret Key 30 Destroy the box on the right and push the button to lower the ladder. Go down and save your game. Go back up the ladder and go down the conveyer belt and engage the boss! He will waste a few turns trying to talk or something like that so just stock and fill the boost gauge. Jr. and MOMO are good choices for this battle due to the pierce weakness. After a few turns the break block will disappear so Ice Sword your party and unleash a combo. Try to get his HP down to 30000 or less. Once he loses a lot of HP he will start to talk to you and give you hints to an upcoming puzzle. They will stay on the screen until you press circle in case you want to write it down or something. While he is doing this heal any HP you lost and recover your stock and boost. Once he tells you the hints he will turn into a complete gnosis. That's when you should unleash your second combo. His HP should be around 4000 or lower. From there heal and use standard attacks to finish. Also cast Flame Wall to lower Ignites damage. O=============================================================================O The second seal of the final forbidden dive device has been lifted. Go back and save your game. Then go back to the boss area and go east. Collect the class Upgrade C from the left then go right and activate the button to power the elevator. Now head back up the conveyer belt and down the ladder and go to the elevator. Go on the bridge and fight the gnosis. Defeat him and continue east. Head up to the puzzle and enter challenge mode. If you can't do this you still haven't started GS 21, which I pointed out earlier. You need a combination of blocks to add up to nine. Sky Blue=1 Yellow=3 Blue=5 Red=7 Orange=-2 Gray=-4 Purple=-6 Green=-8 Those are the values of each block. Now you must use five shots so you can't just do the first three. So attack the blocks in this order: Red, Orange, Gray, Yellow and Blue. It will release the lock and open the door. Go in and collect the Pink Book and Sequencer A. Now go back and turn east to find a Red dive device. Use it to leave the Factory and then dive out of the Subconscious Domain. Head back to Roy to complete GS 21. Now go to Second Miltia and use the Green Forbidden Device in the Other Professor's room to go to the next Dungeon. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Heaven's Ruins |WT78 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ok so you're floating around in the sky. Start by destroying all the crystal pillars to obtain a Bio Sphere and a Med Kit M. Then enter the ruins. Head north all the way and save your game. See the three dots on the door? Those represent the three crystal blocks you must destroy. Go back to the two blocks and destroy the right one and follow the path all the way south and go around the ramp at the end to obtain Secret Key 31. Go back north a little and turn left when you get the chance. Then head south and engage the boss! Weak to almost all attacks so use any sword when doing combos. He likes to counter boost a lot so it might be better to air him instead of down. Move your characters to three opposite corners so he doesn't always hit all your characters and so he will have his back turned to one if not two characters at a time. Use attacker on the physical attackers to dish out even more damage to him. Don't use fire attacks or else he will absorb them into HP, hence the Flame Blast attack on himself. O=============================================================================O Now head north and fight the gnosis, use the trap if you can. Turn right and destroy the block at the end of the path. Go back to the two blocks and destroy the left one and follow the path and turn south to destroy the red crystal and remove the first seal on the door. Now go past the gnosis. Destroy the block to the north to obtain Skill Upgrade Ex6. From there continue east and go through the door. Turn down the first path and engage the Boss!
