Earn an "S" rank on all races in Super Excite mode to unlock Mirror Excite mode.
Get an "S" rank on all races in Excite mode to unlock Super Excite mode.
Successfully complete the School Cup in Excite mode to unlock the "Mini-games" option.
Successfully complete the School Cup in Excite mode to unlock the "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection" (multiplayer) option.
Successfully complete the School Cup in Excite mode to unlock the "Poker Race" option.
Successfully complete ten races with a bot to unlock the ability to buy a statue of that bot.
Get an "S" rank on all races in Mirror Excite mode to unlock the Boulder monster truck from Excitetruck.
Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding cup:
- Bronze Cup: Successfully complete the School Cup.
- Silver Cup: Successfully complete the Bronze Cup.
- Gold Cup: Successfully complete the Silver Cup.
- Platinum Cup: Successfully complete the Gold Cup.
- Crystal Cup: Successfully complete all Platinum Cup races with at least a "B" rank in Super Excite mode.
- Silver Cup: Successfully complete the Bronze Cup.
