This tends to over frustrate the player and diminish game play enjoyment. This could be handled in later versions by a difficulty setting. - Most people confuse this with a simulated real-type golf game instead of a fantasy magic storyline game which could be solved by better advertising. - Characters have variety and depth. There is a better female selection than male selection. The ability to have two files per game is recommended for the future. - Clothing and accessories are very well designed and incorporated. Combination of lots of clothing articles at one time is a major bonus. More info needs to be given to player to explain how clothing works in game play. Some clothing may be too suggestive especially in the gallery images. Some of the clothing needs better descriptions. - Storylines are well thought out and incorporated with straight forward concepts & humor. There are very little spelling/grammatical errors in storylines. - Course/Tournament/Storyline variety is exceptionally done and gives the game a lot of game replay for a long time in the future. There are a ton of things required to get pang for long after you beat the Storyline Pangya Festa like character clothes, Dolphini (gallery, items, etc.), equipment that you can then use to beat the Stroke & Match Tournaments. - Controls are confusing at first but are very manageable and easy to understand with practice time. Luckily the player has two methods of controls: Wiimote buttons & Wiimote Swing. Both require knowledge and practice to use. Both are incorporated well. You will be playing both ways because you will not be physically able to use the swing method for hours on end. - Graphics while not the best in some areas do not detract from game play and in fact are done quite well. There are absolutely breath-taking scenes through out course plays. 3-D effects are well done on characters. The locker room structure was well thought out. - Courses are very well done with a variety of difficulty. All have great course features and terrain with a variety of styles and special features. They are incorporated extremely well. There are enough courses that the player will not get bored throughout the entire initial game play and well beyond. - The depth of this game rates high which is very good. Programmers/Designers did great in incorporating lots of variety, story, items, incentive to continue game play, options for single player modes, multiplayer modes, and training modes. The Pangya Festa Storyline will take the average hard playing person over 100 hours game time unless they catch a break with the AI difficulty. Playing enough tournaments to gain enough pang to buy everything left to buy in the game including the image gallery could take another 100+ hours. Because of the depth of the game an on-disk game manual is recommended for the future. Overall, the depth of this game is right on the mark. Ending Conclusion: This is an absolutely superb game that is very addicting but the AI needs to be more balanced. I would recommend it to anyone with a warning to be patient and know the computer will nearly always cheat and win but to keep retrying and eventually you will succeed in winning the entire game. I would also let them know not to expect a typical golf game but that this is a great fantasy golf game. You have to swing and flick at a reasonable speed to get max power. Doing this gets a Pangya pretty much every time! Continue playing on the Wii file and if mess up, erase Wii file and copy over SD card file to Wii to restart again without losing whole game. Then if get it right on Wii file then erase the SD file and copy Wii file to SD card for storage, etc. – good for testing purposes as well. Saving Your Character to your Wiimote for Versus Mode on another Wii: ********************************************************************* What does saving your Versus Data to your Wiimote do? It saves your clothing and stat data for a character onto your Wiimote internal memory to play on someone else's system. In a versus game, instead of selecting your character you would choose the Load Data box on the right of the character select screen. I do it all the time at my friends' houses. It's pretty cool when they're stuck with basic Scout and I'm using Eye-Patch Uncle Bob. So satisfying. Saving a Wii Game Onto & Off of a SD Card: ****************************************** Can any one tell me the steps to getting a game save on the Wii with the memory card or internet channel please I would appreciate it. The game save has to be in a specially named folder structure for the Wii to recognize it. The easiest way is probably to copy a save from your Wii to the SD card, and then overwrite the data.bin file with the one you downloaded. Specifically for Super Swing Golf, the save file needs to be located at \private\wii\title\RPYE\data.bin on the memory card. Very Detailed Step by Step: *************************** 1. Get an SD card that doesn’t have a private folder with a data.bin file on the SD card (it can have other different files on it): 2. Put the SD card in the Wii: 3. Create a Super Swing Pangya Golf Wii file on the Wii: - Start Pangya Golf and start a new file (you don’t have to play the game at all) - Go into the Wii Data Management System (Beginning Wii Menu Page, Round Wii button on left bottom, data management, Wii, data save, Wii tab) - You should see a Dolphini Icon on one of the squares under the Wii tab 4. Copy the Dophini Icon (file) from the Wii to the SD card (this is the game file you just made on the Wii): - Press A on the Dolphini Icon under the Wii tab - Chose Copy to SD and let it copy it - click on the SD card tab and make sure there is a Dolphini Icon on one of the squares 5. Put the SD card into your computer: - If you right click on the start button, then click on explore, then click on the SD card in the list you should see the \private\wii\title\RPYE\data.bin - If you place but not click on the data.bin file you should see the date it was made to tell the files apart – this file should have a recent/this day’s date 6. Download the desired Super Swing Pangya Golf for Wii file from Wiisave to your computer hard drive & unzip the file to your computer hard drive: - Go to www.wiisave.com - Look up Super Swing Pangya Golf - Pick the desired file you wish to download and follow download directions - Make sure you save (not open) the file to your C: hard drive disk on your computer - In this case it will probably be saved over to C: as C:\private.zip - Go to your start button/explore and find C:\private.zip - right click on private.zip and say extract all and let the files extract 7. Copy ONLY the exacted data.bin file over the data.bin file you created on the Wii: - Go to your C: hard drive on your computer - Look for a folder called Private - Double click on it and it should open to a folder called wii, then title, then, RPYE which has a data.bin file in it (this data.bin file should have the same date as the one you downloaded – in this case it would be 3 Jan 2007) - Right click on the RPYE folder and chose copy - Find the RPYE folder on your SD card and right click on it - Chose paste - Say yes to overwrite or copy over all (this will copy the downloaded data.bin file over the data.bin file you created on the Wii which will give you a more completed file and not the empty one you just created) - Check the date on the data.bin file on the SD card, if it is the right date you did it right, if not then repeat above till the date of the downloaded file is the date of the data.bin file on the SD card - You can delete the private.zip and the private folder with extracted files off your C: hard drive now 8. Erase the Dolphini Icon under the Wii tab on the Wii (under data Management): 9. Insert the SD card with the downloaded data.bin file on it into the Wii: - The SD card should still show the \private\wii\title\RPYE\data.bin format 10. Copy the Dolphini Icon from the SD card tab to the Wii tab (under data management): - Go to the SD card tab (under Wii, Data Management, Data Save) - You should see a Dolphini Icon (this is the downloaded file you made on the computer) - There should not be a Dolphini Icon under the Wii tab at this point because it was erased - Press A on the Dolphini Icon under the SD card & chose copy to Wii - Click on the Wii tab and you should now see a Dolphini Icon under the Wii tab - You can now erase the Dolphini Icon under the SD card or save it to use for later - The Wii will now recognize the file under the Wii tab and you should see a much larger file to play (this file will change as you play and save your game) 11. Start the game as normal and play to your heart’s content! Note: If you do this process and you can see the correct downloaded data.bin file on your SD card when it is in your computer but it does not show up as a Dolphini Icon under the SD card tab on the Wii under data management then you did not save the downloaded data.bin file directly over the data.bin file you created on the Wii. You can not just download the file from wiisave onto your SD card and have a recognizable icon appear on the SD card tab under data management on the Wii. You have to create a new file on the Wii, download a file from wiisave onto a SD card, and then directly copy the downloaded data.bin file over the Wii data.bin file so that the game icon will show up under the SD card tab on the Wii. Otherwise, there will not be a game icon to copy over from the SD card to the Wii memory so that the Wii memory will recognize and use the downloaded file. (The file will be properly on the SD card but the game icon will not show on the Wii.) ****************************************************************************** Characters: ************ - Clothes and hairstyles can change and be modified to change looks of each individual so ages or approximate ages are listed instead of clothes/hair color/hairstyles Getting All the Characters Unlocked as Playable Characters: - When you start the game you have to choose to play as Hana or Scout - The person you choose to play as becomes your file - You can not have one player be Hana & one player be Scout with separate files - You can share one file and cooperate on whose pang is whose but you will not have separate statistics records either - If you want two separate files on one Wii then you will have to use SD cards to store each file/game onto separate SD cards to the Wii and then Wii to SD cards and swap them EVERY time you want to switch players – two separate games for two files - The Wii will not recognize files on the SD card – only on the Wii memory – so swap - Once you have chosen a starting character then you can now buy the other character - You must now unlock all the other characters in the game by beating the First Set or First Storyline (each has 5 rounds and unlocks other storylines) of each character to get the next character. They unlock in the character order listed below.(Example: you choose Hana, buy Scout, and then finish Hana or Scout’s first storyline to get Uncle Bob. Then you buy Uncle Bob and finish his storyline to get Cecilia. Repeat until all character’s first storylines are completed and you will have unlocked all the playable characters (& one caddie from the storyline from Hana or Scout). You can now play as any of the characters but Hana will still be your file but it won’t matter who you started with at this point. Character Descriptions (brief): ******************************* Scout – age 15 – Earth Boy - invited to Pangya Island by Pipin (a caddie who likes him) – likes girls Hana – age 14 – Earth Girl – invited to Pangya Island by Quma (a caddie) Uncle Bob – age 41 – Earth Man & Ex-policeman – invited to Pangya Island by Lola (a caddie who likes him) Cecilia – 21 to 30 years old – Silvia Battleship Naval Officer - came to Pangya Island to recruit enlistments for the Navy Max – 18 to 21 years old – Earth Teenager & Famous Tennis Player – invited to Pangya Island by Arin (a witch who likes him) – wants to be a Navy pilot Kooh – 11 years old – Pirate & Captain of Lunar Tomb Pirate Ship - came to Pangya Island to find her lost father – tough but secretly likes dolls, clothes, and girl things – designs clothes Arin – 16 to 21 – Good Witch - hosting the Pangya Island Golf Tournaments to meet Max – on quest to stop the King of Darkness and save Pangya Island – designs clothes Kaz – 16 to 21 – Vessel of the King of Darkness - came to Pangya Island to find his lost memory by winning tournaments even if it gives rebirth to the King of Darkness Character Playing Tendencies: ***************************** - may vary game to game Cecilia: - She tries the trickiest shots ever, but sometimes she miscalculates and OBs terribly. - Cecilia will try some crazy shot, miss, try it one more time, miss, and then usually get it on the third try for me. Kooh: - Sometimes she just MISSES HORRIBLY. One time she tried to shoot onto the green, it went left, HORRIBLY LEFT, and it landed NOWHERE near the green. Also there was no possible advantage for shooting there. - I've never gotten anywhere close to losing against Kooh, she seems like she's just really bad. Max: - He seems to almost ALWAYS over judge hills when he puts. The shot will be practically straight, but then he shoots off like 1y to the side and misses. - Max seems to do this thing where if I get to a place on the hole where it's completely impossible for him to get a better score; he'll OB a few times, as if just trying to waste my time. On that one crescent shaped hole in one of those blue-something courses, he does that all the time. I'll tomahawk right to the green, he won't have enough to make a tomahawk, so he plops it in the water like 3 times. And once when he was right off the green, close enough to putt in, he kept bashing it way off into the distance into the dirt under some mushrooms for OB after OB. That was also when I was a few strokes ahead of him. I didn't think AI players could be sore losers. Arin: - Arin loves to chip in 20-30yd shots for birdies or eagles. Once on the green, however, she tends to miss long putts (15-20yds) frequently. There are times where it seems like she purposely misses the green to get your hopes up and then chips in crazy shots from the rough or bunker for the high pang. Character Rank Levels: ********************** - You start at a Rookie Level - You rank up as you earn more experience points through game play & tournaments - Each rank up earns you 1(0) power you can buy from your room customization Rookie Junior Senior Amateur Senior Semi-Pro Pro National Pro World Pro Master (Then probably Master Pro, etc.) ***************************************************************************** Walkthrough Procedures & Steps: ******************************* - Also see some more detailed tips in the Helpful Tips Section Most walkthroughs for most games require detailed day to day instructions on what to do. In Super Swing Golf this is already handled by playing through the storyline they set up in the Single Player Mode in Pangya Festa. So basically all someone needs for a walkthrough for this game is an outline of what to do as a general rule to start and complete this game. Even with this in mind someone could play this game in relatively any order and still have played it in a walkthrough order as long as they completed the Pangya Festa. So, below is a suggested walkthrough game play outline: Step by Step Outline: ********************* Step 1 – Start your file by giving yourself a name. Step 2 – Chose your starting character between Hana & Scout (You can buy the other character later before Step 8) Step 3 – Go finish both the swing & button tutorials – gives you a caddie Papel or Pipin Step 4 – Play in Single Player Mode in the Stroke or Match Tournaments to earn pang Step 5 – Upgrade clothes, clubs, caddie, & yourself (customize button in Your Room) Step 6 – Go spend lottery tickets in the Dolphini Lottery for items & hopefully rings Step 7 – Immediately when Pangya Festa opens start playing your storyline (5 rounds) Step 8 – Play & finish the other characters storyline (Hana or Scout – 5 rounds) Step 9 – Play & finish Uncle Bob’s storyline – gives you caddie Papel or Pipin Step 10 – Play & finish Cecilia’s storyline – get more pang & clothes & Max Step 11 - At this point you need lots of upgrades to beat Cecilia so play Stroke or Match tournaments to get pang to get them – upgrade, get better upgraded clubs, etc. Step 11 – Play & finish Max’s storyline – (5 rounds) Step 12 – Play & finish Kooh’s storyline – (5 rounds) Step 13 – Play & finish Arin’s storyline – (5 rounds) Step 14 – Play & finish any character’s extra storylines with good scores/required outfits Step 15 – At this point I would switch to Arin because you need to beat Kaz and you need her skills so upgrade her and items as much as possible (unless you think your character is good enough to beat him) Step 16 – Play & finish Kaz’s storyline (he only has one storyline - 5 rounds) Step 17 – Give yourself a party and a big pat on the back … but more work to be done! Step 18 – Finish getting trophies (1st – 4th place) in all the Single Player Stroke Tournaments Step 19 – Finish getting trophies (1st – 4th place) in all the Single Player Match Tournaments Step 20 – Finish filling the Gallery Collection Images in the Gallery (Dolphini Lottery) Step 21 – Finish buying all the Characters & Caddies Step 22 – Finish buying all the Character & Caddie clothes & accessories Step 23 – Play your family/friends in Versus Mode Balloon Pop – if you go to their house make sure to bring your highly upgraded and skilled player on your Wiimote to smear them in competitions. Step 24 – Play your family/friends in Versus Mode Stroke & Match Tournaments Step 25 – Throughout the game make sure you check out the Free Training Mode courses. Step 26 – Now the major work is finished and your character is the one you want and is fully upgraded! But wait… you haven’t reached the highest rank yet! Keep playing that golf until the rank stops … lol! At least this time it will be easier to beat those courses and tournaments and now you can pick them! Starting Tips: ************** - This is a hard game especially to start with but worth it. You can use the swing (Wiimote swinging) or the button (Wiimote buttons) to play. - It takes extreme patience to get through this game! This is how the stages of playing go: - First: Holy Cow! I CANT DO THIS!! - Second: Hey, this is not so bad. I can do this. - Third: This is freaking easy, I'm ALWAYS beating the CPU - Fourth: What is the IMPOSSIBLE 200yd chip in the cpu is pulling off!!?? - Fifth: Ha! I finally beat them by pang (points) instead of strokes because we both got draw, AGAIN. - And then it all repeats again for the next round or level all through the game while getting more and more difficult the more you progress (better keep upgrading!). It is worth it though because it has good depth & variety in the game. Plus when you have totally beaten the game it is still fun to go play a round/tournament of golf with your upgraded character and still have it be challenging. - Start by playing Single Player Mode to get Pang (Money) to buy magic items, better balls, better clubs, & better clothes to give you the edge. - Be sure to use all your lottery tickets you win to get free magic items. The Dolphini Lottery is very helpful in getting needed starting items like rings and all the magic items. You may want to buy extra tickets. Use your pang to upgrade your customization on your character. Be sure to upgrade to balls that give you pang (on pars or better) right away. Upgrade your club sets and clothes as soon as possible to give you a better chance at winning. Use magic items to keep up with others. - You will lose a lot when you first start the game because you are weak and have little magic and equipment to help you be as good as the other opponents. Essentially, others can use their magic when you will not be able to yet or as much so it will feel like everyone else has good luck or is cheating against you … I guess they are. Just keep playing, building up your pang, and using it to make yourself more powerful and it will get easier. - Caddie upgrades will help when you can afford them (caddie clothes upgrade their abilities) which they then put towards your benefit with a slightly wider Pangya gauge. The more you use them, the more they like you and will help you more with tips. - Make sure to check back and play the Pangya Festa right when it becomes available. Single Player (any mode) will get you experience on your character but multiplayer (any mode) will not. You can practice in free play mode but all pang will not be kept from any free playing. Pangya Festa is great for lots of pang and unlocking Hana & Scout clothing sets but you have to play Single player to unlock opponents to play in the Festa first.
