It
don't mean a thing if you ain't got that swing, baby
and who would know that better Mr. Tiger Woods? Hey,
was it his dad that used to make the kids go outside
and pick a switch for him to beat them with? No....that
was Michael Jackson's dad. Be that as it may, I'm
certain Mr. Woods was no picnic...
Speaking
of swinging and hamfisted segues, let's talk about
the new Tiger Woods game coming out for the Xbox 360.
First of all, get outta here with those visuals. I
mean, come on already fellas. How much nicer are you
going to make these virtual worlds? Eventually I'm
just going to drill a hole in my TV and live in all
of the pretty worlds you crazy game developers create.
I don't even know if that would work but I really
don't see why not.
Not
only are the visuals getting an overhaul, akin to
The Swan (anyone remember that reality show?) but
the control mechanics are also going to undergo their
first major alteration in many years. StewXX had a
chance to take Tiger Woods for a spin at E3 (in secret)
and he reported to me that he wasn't crazy about the
dual analog swing config at first, but the more he
thought about it, the cooler he thought it was but
by then it was too late to go back and try it again.
He did mention that it requires a good amount of technique
to get both analog sticks to work with precision simultaneously.
In fact, he mentioned so many things I finally asked
him to just write this damn preview already but then
he made up some bogus excuse and said he had to get
off the phone.
With
the advent of the Xbox 360 Cam, players will able
to get their mugs into the game, which has been a
PC only perk for a few years. I wonder why they don't
offer Game Ass support, so you can scan your hefty
Doritos enhanced caboose into the game; considering
that's what you'll be staring at for the duration.
If
you've stuck with Tiger this long, you will most likely
fall over yourself to snag a 360 when you see this
one in action. We hope to hit the links with this
one shortly.
