Cliche much? Haha. Anyway, once the scene is over, read the battle tutorials, then take out the guards that attack you. Watch the next scene and then head out the door. You get access to your menu here when Aya gives you the medicine. Fiddle around with it for a bit because unlike most games, this game is Active Time Battle so you are going to get attack regardless of whether or not your menu is open. After you figure everything out, go up the stairs to trigger another scene. Try opening the chest on the left and be denied. Learn about smashing chests open (be careful though because you risk breaking the items inside when you smash it) and then smash the chest. The left is a Miraculous Medicine and the other is a pair of Bronze Scale Greaves. Equip them. Run to the left right and go up stairs. At the second cell, open the door and go inside to find a chest containing a Black Berry Potion. Go down the stairs closest to you to find a Save Point. Save, then talk to the man in the cell to your left. Accept the coin from him, then go through the gate on your right. Here you learn about connecting. Its basically controlling another character to perform a certain action. Go out a little until you have a clear view of the barrel and then connect with Aya and have her perform Ravaging Raptor to take care of the guard standing there. Find the center gate to watch another scene. After the scene, turn around to find a chest in the little inlet behind you. It contains a Bronze Scale Helmet. Equip it, then go back to the elevator and press the switch. Enter the elevator and pull the lever to activate it. Once you arrive, go up the stairs on the right to start a scene and introduce the first boss(?) Here is where you learn about fleeing, so I'm guess you can't play with the ogre yet. Take out your weapon and bash through the wooden blockade infront of you and keep heading up the stairs. I tried to grab the chest but the ogre sprinted into it and I ended up getting Junk. If someone could tell me what was in it...that would be lovely. Anyway, make your way past the guards but be careful because the ogre will run after you here. Keep making your way up the stairs and taking the guards and walls down on the way. Try to shoot the barrels if you can but in my case, the ogre ended up killing Capell and Aya had to revive him. Once you get to top of the stairs, you have to be quick about this next part Connect with Aya and have her shoot the barrels next to the ogre. This part is hard because while you are aiming, there are guards running at you from both sides. If you miss, just run past the ogre, kill the archers then the guards, and then wait for the ogre to pass by again and shoot the barrel. Once he is down, you obtain the Prison Key which will open the door you tried to go through before. Destroy the last barricade and then run through the archway. If you destroyed every barricade on the way up, you get a Situation Bonus. This one gives you Full HP and MP recovery. Save, then check the chests for Red Berry Potion, Bronze Scale Armor, and a Miraculous Medicine. Go to the red door now to exit this area. =============================================================================== Graad Woods [IU002] =============================================================================== After the scene you get a tutorial on detection. Basically, you can sneak up on enemies but you have to watch out for different surfaces that make a louder noise than others when you walk/run. If you successfully sneak up on an enemy though, you get a certain amount of time where all of your attacks become critical. You also get perks for sneaking up on enemies, like better drops. Be careful though because enemies can sneak up on you. If you sneak attack the guard with Aya's Ravaging Raptor move, you get an acheivement for successfully pulling off a surprise attack. This also nets you a Player Advantage which includes +50% EXP, 100% Critical Hit Rate, and Rare item drop rate up. There is a treasure chest next to the tree in front of where the guard was that has a Red Berry Potion inside. If you run to the north west side of the map (which you can't see very well) you can find a bridge that has what looks like a dungeon on the other side but we can't access it right now so run back to the guard's post. Follow the light to the next guard post and connect with Aya to shoot down two apples. Pick them up, then follow the lights to watch another scene. Here we learn about Tactics. I screwed up this part and got caught, so I just started running. You can pick up a Medical Herb by one of the trees that has a torch underneath it. Keep running forward to the next light area to get another scene. Great, now we have huge wolves chasing us. What's next, a flaming bird that talks? Anyway, follow the lights. Again, I screwed up so I just started running with enemies tailing me the whole time. There is a chest by one of the torches that has a Blue Berry Potion in it. After that, just keep running and following the light points. I had so many enemies on me at this point that I had to sit there and fight for a second so I didn't get destroyed but it paid off because I got a nice chunk of change and some good exp. After running through some more of the torch posts, you'll find another chest with Miraculous Medicine in it. Keep following them to find a chest with Black Berry Potion inside. You'll get to a point where a scene plays and our friend the Ogre is back. Take Aya's advice and run from him because it seems that right now you can't damage him. Follow the light paths around while trying to avoid this Orge guy and his lackeys. You can find another Miraculous Medicine in a chest by one of the torches. Keep your eyes peeled for a bridge because that is your goal. Watch the scenes that follow. Once you are in the camp, run around and talk to everyone. You can pick up an herb behind Aya. Don't forget to save. Talk to everyone again to get their second conversations, then go talk to Aya. Watch the scene. You got the emblazioned sword! After you regain control, just follow the path around the forest until you reach the level barrier. Your party splits up now and you go to the new area. =============================================================================== Luce Plains [IU003] =============================================================================== I think I spoke too soon in the last section because whadyaknow, its a big firey bird thing (AKA Dragon). Great. Alright well just run to the other side of the field to find the exit in the opposite corner from where you started. I'm not positive, but I don't think the little creatures running around will hurt you. =============================================================================== Nolaan [IU004] =============================================================================== Watch the scene that introduces Ruscha and Rico, then follow them up the hill to their hut. You can save at the save point, but when you get within a certain distance from the two kids, another scene will start. The lip-synching in this game is horrid. Period. After the scene, check the treasure chests in side the Twins' house for a Graad Onion. We can't get the other one right now because its locked. Head down the hill then listen to Rucha. Keep going down and talk to the Energetic Old Man walking in front of the houses to get a Panacea. Talk to the two women standing by the well to get some Red Berry Potions. Once you have done that, head to the General Store at the front left of the city. Inside you can find a treasure chest. Stock up on items if you can afford it. Not sure how important it is in this game, but I bought about 10 Seeing Eyes so I can check boss stats and the like. After you've checked everything out, head to the back of town under the hill that leads to the Twins' house and follow it around to the Dragonbone Shrine. =============================================================================== Dragonbone Shrine [IU005] =============================================================================== Go into the shrine and follow the path to the left. Connect with Rico and talk with the rats to get some hints. You can also examine rubble in the furthest part of that platform. Head to the right fork this time and run inside to watch a scene. Put your weapons away and pull the switch before you get bombarded by bats. Take them out, then head through that path you opposite the entrance. Nothing in the bottom left cavern, but if you go to the middle left one there is a treasure chest with an Antidote inside. Go into the top room now, fight the enemies, then since you can't go anywhere in the room past the light lever, head to the north east path. In the first cavern on the left, connect with Rico to talk to Scamper the mouse. He'll tell you that the shrine has a hidden room but he doesn't tell you where. Head through the north entrance now to find a room with a broken dragon statue. Keep going through to the next fork and take a left. In here you find Ms. Sewaria, the lovely mouse that Scamper told us about. Connect with Rico and talk to her to learn more about the secret room. GREAT! Now we get to go all the way back to Scamper. Talk to him, then follow him to go find the hidden room. The only problem with this is that he leads you through 3 enemy infested areas so you are probably going to lose site of him. If this happens, don't worry. You can find him again behind the big rock on the left side of the room that has a Fleshbiter and Thorn Cobra. Anyway, once you talk to him, examine the door and enter for a Situation Bonus! You get 1000 EXP for this one. YAY! The treasures in here contain a Miraculous Medicine, Musician's Quill, and a Black Berry Potion. Connect with Rico again and talk to Snouty the mouse. He wants you to take him back to his owner in Nolaan. Accept the quest, then head out of the secret room and take the path to the left. Examine the door to start a scene. Looks like you have to lead some monsters back to the room we're in. Go back out to the room and find the Thorn Cobra and Fleshbiter. Connect with Rico and use the move Penguin Parade to take control of one of them and lead it back to the shrine. It gets a little hard because you have to stay within a certain distance of them to make sure you keep control and after about a minute or so, the control lets off regardless so this part might take you a while. Anyway, lead one of the monsters to the door, examine it, then repeat with the other monster. Now you can open the door. Do so, then watch the scene that follows. YAY! Our first boss fight! **NOTE: I think I got the boss' name wrong and I could not figure out how to use the Seeing Eye in time so this information is very basic. If anyone figured out how to do it and got this boss' info, please contact me and share! =D +---------------------------------------------------------------+ | - Boss Battle - | +---------------------------------------------------------------| | Name : Ragbert | | | | STRATEGY: Since this is the first boss battle, you should | | not have any problems at all. Just keep hitting the boss | | with your combos and try avoiding the fireballs coming from | | the dragon in the background. | | | | If you need to, press the Y button to have one of the Twins | | heal you and then keep pounding on the boss. Try to deflect | | some of his attacks to take minimal damage. | | | | The boss should drop in no time if you just keep wailing | | on him. | | | +---------------------------------------------------------------+ Watch the scene after the battle and once its over, you recieve the Saruleus Amarlista and the Saruleus Flute. Run around to the back of Saruleus' throne and use your Flute Skill Percipere to make the wavy wall disappear. Go down those stairs and follow the path. Behind the debris on the right, you can find a chest that has Memoirs of a Mage. Follow the path and at the next corner you'll hear the weird sounds of an illusion so use Percipere again to make a treasure chest with Miraculous Medicine appear. Follow the path out to the door and emerge into Nolaan. =============================================================================== Return to Nolaan [IU006] =============================================================================== Swing by the old couple's house on the right and outside near the stone wall is an illusion. Use Precipere to make a treasure chest containing a Bronze Ring appear. Go talk to the young man in the blue shirt to the right to obtain a quest to deliver a letter to his friend in Burgusstadt. After that, head back to the Twins' house. Don't forget to save outside before you go in. Go into the house to watch a scene. Once you regain control, head outside and take this oppurtunity to restock. After you finish everything, head back to the Luce Plains. **NOTE: I didn't notice this before, but after I bought stuff at the General Store when I got back, she starts giving you delivery missions. You have to deliver a Pottery Wheel to the Cranky Old Man, A Hairclip to the Helpful Young Girl, and a set of Iron Arm Weights to the Energetic Old Man. The reward for completing them all is Miraculous Medicine. =============================================================================== To Castle Pravent [IU007] =============================================================================== Head to the southwest corner of the map and go through the little cavern that is now open. Once through there, you are now in a HUGE open field area. There is a chest on the east side of the map by some soldiers that has 750 Fol inside. Your goal in here is to head to the exit in the north and go assist Sigmund's team to infiltrate the castle. When you get here, just start killing enemies until the Catapult Brigade comes and then use the catapults to break open the door. Just aim them at the door and hold A until it releases. It takes 4 hits I think. After that, watch the scene, then talk to Genma on the left to Rest or check his items. Save on the right, then head down the hallway. There is a gargoyle that will attack you when you walk in. Defeat him, then take the right path to the second room where you will find three chests that contain a Sunstone, Staff paper, and another Sunstone. If you follow the path around to the 4 way cross and take a left, you will find a treasure chest inside the room that holds a Cell Key. Now I feel bad for saying this because it shouldn't be done in an FAQ, but due to me being unable to find the item I bought, I was without light for the longest time in those dark tunnels so I honestly couldn't tell you where to go. Just keep running forward and pay attention to your minimap. You'll eventually find a room with a huge set of stairs. Go up the stairs and open the door for a scene with Eugene and Edward. Get the Black Berry potion and 2 Miraculous Medicines from the chest, save, then exit the door on the right. Go up the stairs and then find the chest in the next room. Be careful because the chest is really a mimic that has 10000 HP. He isn't hard though so you should be able to take him. He rewards a lousy 10 EXP but a nice chunk of Fol. Go down to the next hallway to see a scene with Sigmund. On a side note, Edward (whose name I keep thinking is Richard), is a dick. He looks like a BA but I hate his attitude. Anyway, after the scene, run back to where you saw Sigmund. Open the door and then follow the path to the stairs that lead up to the roof of the tower. Watch the scene when you get there, then a boss fight. +---------------------------------------------------------------+ | - Boss Battle - | +---------------------------------------------------------------| | Name : N/A | | | | STRATEGY: Just attack him. This battle is seriously way too | | easy. | | | +---------------------------------------------------------------+ After you fight him, watch the scene. You then appear in Luce Plains. From here, just run to the northwest area of the map to find the paved entrance to Burgesstadt =============================================================================== Burgusstadt [IU008] =============================================================================== Watch the scene. lol Michelle is a hoochie. Alright once you regain control head into the first house on the left. Talk to Anne inside to finish the quest about the gold coin we picked up in the jail cell from earlier. You get a White Berry Potion for completing this. Now go back outside and look for the bar on the left. The man in red sitting at the first table is Denton. We need to talk to him for a quest. For delivering the letter, you receive a Karathos Wristband. Check the chest in here to get some Burguss Fruit Liquor. If you talk to the Lecherous Old Man and agree with him, he will give you 5 Red Berry Potions. Now leave the bar and head across the street to the General Shop. Inside is a chest that contains Lauan Sandals. Talk to the woman behind the counter to upgrade your equipments and restock on items if you'd like. When you're ready, go through the north gate into Castle Burgusstadt. If you go into the room on the right you can find a chest with some Miraculous Medicine. When you are ready to advance, go down the left hallway. Watch the scene. Awkward much? Check the chest in the corner for Soup Stock then go into the next room to have a scene with Sigmund. Use Percipere on the wall to find a chest with a Sea Axe inside. Head back to the room on the right where the priest guy was earlier to advance. After the scene go back to the room Sigmund was in and talk to him. You find out your next destination is Fayel. Time to go BACK to Luce Plains. In the Luce Plains, just head to the south west portion of the map and look for a large opening in the rock walls. Follow the path inside to find the Oradian Dunes. =============================================================================== Oradian Dunes [IU009] =============================================================================== Watch the scene, then split up your two parties. Just for sake of recording what I did, Party I was Capell, Aya, Sigmund, Michelle. Party II was Edward, Rucha, Rico, and Balgaban. Having two parties on the screen at once seems really cool. Anyway, I took the right path here. Just follow it around until you find an opening with a dust tornado flying around. DON'T TOUCH THE TORNADO. It killed Capell because I couldn't get out of it. Go past this area and then stay to the right again to find an oasis area with a save spot. When you approach it, you will enter a scene. When the scene finishes, save, then go under the little rock formation and head straight. When the path splits again, you can go either way because the both lead to the city of Sapran. Make sure you grab the chest in front of the entrance to get 1000 Fol. =============================================================================== Sapran [IU010] =============================================================================== Once inside you get a scene and then its Mission time. Split your team up into 3 different parties then prepare for the battle. Your goal here is to defeat some of the monsters while you run around the area destroying the crystals. All of the crystals are out in the open except for the two that are behind illusions near the entrance and exit of the town. You can find both of them at the points where the fence breaks apart and exposes a little bit of the dirt wall. The other hidden one is in the last house. Just use Precipere to discover them. The final one is in the tower where the chain is connected to. Just have Aya shoot it twice and it will break. You get a victory when the final one is broken and your Results page is displayed. I got a C -_-; Anyway, the scene that follows you meet Semberas and the Red-Haired Lady Saranda makes her appearance again. Time for a boss battle! +---------------------------------------------------------------+ | - Boss Battle - | +---------------------------------------------------------------| | Name : Semberas | | | | STRATEGY: Once the battle starts, just wipe out his allies | | then concentrate your attacks on him. He has these little | | orb things that pop up every once in a while that will | | start casting spells on you. Try to take them out as soon | | as possible because their spells are hard to escape. | | | | Semberas himself should not be that hard. He has a total | | of three moves that are very readable. Just run away when | | you see him readying an attack and you should be fine. | | | | The only problem I had with this battle was that I ran | | out of MP and potions so I had no way to heal myself when | | he managed to get a hit on me. This just tells you to make | | sure you always have a nice stock of items, eh? | | | +---------------------------------------------------------------+ Once the scene ends you are in Sapran again. Save.
