Successfully complete the Champion’s Cup with a character in any sport to unlock the Star (more powerful) version of him or her in that sport.

Successfully complete the indicated task in any sport to unlock the corresponding character in that specific sport:
- Metal Mario: Successfully complete the Star Cup.
- Pink Gold Peach: Successfully complete all Ring Challenge mini-games on the Hard difficulty.
Bonus locations
Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding location:
- Grand Stadium: Win the Star Cup in Soccer.
- Harbor Park: Win the Star Cup in Baseball.
- Night Court: Win the Star Cup in Tennis.
- Sky Peak (1, 2, 3): Win the Star Cup in Horse Racing.
- Wild Valley: Win the Star Cup in Golf.
Pro/Ace mode
Win the Champion’s Cup for any sport except Golf to unlock the Pro difficulty in all sports except Tennis, which unlocks the Ace difficulty.
Mario Token Crown
If you go on the field during horse racing, you can occasionally find a white bird sitting on the grass, which gives you a Mario token. Collect 20 Mario tokens and another white bird will appear on the field. Open this crate to get the Mario Token Crown, the final head accessory listed for your horse.
