Infinity face paint

Before reaching Groznyj Grad, capture a Tsuchinoko alive. Keep it in a cage, and do not eat it. After you reclaim your equipment at the waterfall, you will have to recapture it in the same area. Successfully complete the game with a live Tsuchinoko in your inventory to unlock the Infinity face paint, which gives all of your weapons unlimited ammunition.

International flag face paints

Get all 27 ranks to unlock all the international flag face paints from Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence .

Camera

After you break out of the jail cell in Groznyj Grad, check the office across the hallway to find a camera that you can use to take photos at any point in the game. Successfully complete the game to unlock the camera in your inventory during the next playthrough.

EZ Gun

Collect each of the 48 plants and fauna on any difficulty to unlock the EZ Gun. The EZ Gun gives you a minimum camo of 80%, has infinite ammunition, and is a silenced tranquilizer that will restore your stamina while equipped. Note: It is regarded as a special item and will prevent some ranks from being earned.

Twirling Colt Single Action Army pistol

Move the 3DS system while in FPS aiming mode and armed with the Colt Single Action Army pistol. Note: Doing this while dueling Ocelot at Bolshaya Past Crevice will distract him.

Reloading weapons faster

When using a slow loading weapon (for example, the RPG-7), equip another weapon, then immediately switch back to the original weapon, and it will be reloaded.

Defeating The End early

After the intermission sequence after walking through the cave and the river at Ponizovje, equip your SVD sniper rifle, and aim it at The End. Shoot him quickly to kill him. A platoon of soldiers will appear instead of him later in the game.

Skipping battle with The End

As soon as the battle begins with The End, save the game, and quit. Go to the 3DS menu settings, and change the system date to at least one week in the future. When you return to the game, you will find that The End has died of old age, allowing you to continue without fighting him.

Skipping battle with The Sorrow

Immediately lie down in the water during the battle with The Sorrow. Although you will drown and the “Game Over” screen will appear, you can select the Revival Pill in your inventory to continue the mission without the Boss fight.

Confusing Volgin

As soon as the battle begins with Volgin, equip the Raikov Mask. Volgin will then become confused, allowing you to walk right up to him and start attacking.

Escaping the jail cell

Use your radio, and set the frequency to 144.75 when Snake is locked up in jail to unlock the door.

Konami game references

During the intermission sequence at Granin’s office, move the camera to see figurines of Metal Gear REX, Metal Gear RAY, and Jehuty, from other Metal Gear Solid games and Zone Of The Enders .
