Mystery Item Shop locations
The hidden Mystery Shops contain stat boosting items, secret ability books, and special accessories that you cannot obtain through regular game play. There is one shop in each district. Some of the entrances to these shops require you to have the Jetpack item, which is purchasable in the Yokohama Mystery Shop or obtainable as a reward for the “Nizaemon Bounty” job.
Ikebukuro: Equip the Jetpack item and jump on the vending machine that is located in front of the bookshop. Double jump to the top of the building, run across the arch to the right, and proceed to the top of the Tech Burger building. Walk all the way to the right until you hit the wall, then hold Up until you enter the shop.
Shinjuku: Walk right one screen from the Train Station, take a few steps to the right of Tech Burger, and you should see a half-open door on the bottom of the slope. Press Up at the door to enter.
Yokohama: Walk two screens to the right from the Train Station to see a crack on the outside of the warehouse. Walk into it to enter.
Ueno: Walk two screens to the left or right from the Train Station until you reach Ueno Park. Walk towards the top left section of the map until you see a statue. Walk into it to enter the shop.
Shibuya: Walk left one screen from the Train Station and walk to the front of the restaurant. Equip the Jetpack item and jump onto the orange awnings, then double jump to the top of the building. Go all the way to the left until you hit a dead-end. Then, hold Up until you enter the shop.
Asakusa: Move right and walk past the base of the escalator until you are in front of the green arrow sign on the wall. Hold Up at the sign to enter the shop.
Akihabara: Move a couple screens to the right until you are in the last room, which is the second floor of the Electronic Store. There is a large flat screen TV with a talk show on it. Walk into it to enter the shop.
Shinagawa: Walk left one screen from the Train Station and keep walking until you see the bottomless pit. There is actually a bright yellow-orange ladder in the middle of the pit to indicate the shop. Align yourself very carefully with the ladder and hold Down until you enter the shop. It is very easy to be off by one pixel and fall to your death — so save immediately before you attempt it to be on the safe side.
