‘60s Batman Animation Now Streaming

As the 75 th anniversary of the Batman franchise roles along, DC (with the help of WB) is certainly striving to keep their promise of making this a jammed-packed year of awesomeness!

In a recent press release, Warner Brothers has revealed that two classic DC animated series will be making their way to their on-demand streaming service. First up is the iconic Batman and Robin cartoon series (voiced by both Adam West and Burt Ward) that many of us remember seeing years later in re-runs on Saturday mornings. “ The New Adventures of Batman offered the key actors from the 1966 Batman live-action series – Adam West and Burt Ward – a chance to reprise their characters’ voices for the animated series. These episodes of The New Adventures of Batman also include the first-ever animated appearances by Bat-Mite, voiced by series executive producer Lou Scheimer.” It reads.

As mentioned, Batman is not the only one making a resurgence, as The New Adventures of Superman is also available. In what will actually be an exclusive to WB’s content pool, the release states that many of these Superman episodes are “…not included on the recent DVD release of the series, meaning Warner Archive Instant is the only place fans can see The New Adventures of Superman as it was originally broadcast.”

For you aquatic lovers out there, the red-headed stepchild of the DC universe Aquaman will also be joining them this June, with his animated classics form 1967.
