7 Hot PS4 Exclusives That’ll Make You Jealous

7 Hot PS4 Exclusives That’ll Make You Jealous

Console exclusives are an inevitable consequence of warring companies battling for the top dog spot. Sony wants to be more popular than Microsoft, Mac wants to be more popular than PC, and iPod wants to beat out the Zune. Uh… forget you saw that last one.

The point being, in the gaming world there will always be console exclusives. It’s unavoidable, but I’ll be darned if we wish they weren’t. Here are some PlayStation 4 exclusives we wish we could see elsewhere.

Until Dawn

Until Dawn

Until Dawn was not a perfect game by any means, but it was widely received as a mid to high-tier addition to horror gaming. If you can get over the stereotypes and the short story, it’s an enjoyable game. Having Until Dawn available on other consoles could have made it more popular. With the Vive VR, Until Dawn would be a great PC horror game.

The Last Guardian

The Last Guardian

The Last Guardian was an adorable game, I don’t care who you are. Yes, the mechanics were faulty and controls a little non-responsive at times, but goddamnit I got to pet a Trico. It’s sad to see such a delightful game limited to the PlayStation 4. Let the Xbox fans join in the fun! Hell, bring the PC Gamers into the Trico fold too. Everyone deserves to be let in on this cuteness.

Days Gone

Days Gone

Days Gone is an upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive about a biker named Deacon St. John. He’s a bounty hunter that has to face off against “freakers.” Make no mistake, these are zombies folks. Don’t let the name fool you. While the game has yet to release, we feel this relatively unknown title would do better if allowed elsewhere too. Console restrictions tend to also restrict a game’s popularity and audience reach.

Bloodborne

Bloodborne

The ever popular Bloodborne has done extremely well on the PlayStation 4 of course, but why hog it all to yourself, Sony? Xbox One and PC players should be allowed to feel the sweet release of death over, and over, and over again too. The game would probably make for a relatively easy port, and it would open it up to a wider audience in need of another Souls-like.

Death Stranding

Death Stranding

Death Stranding is the currently in production, no on knows what the hell is going on game by Hideo Kojima. It stars Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, and maybe even Guillermo Del Toro? It’s hard to say, since the game is truly a mystery at the moment. But come on! Let the rest of the world have it, don’t just keep it all to yourself, PlayStation 4! We all want to know the secrets of Death Stranding too.

Nioh

Nioh

Nioh has done extremely well, both commercially and critically, thus far. It’s being called Bloodborne with samurais. I’ve also heard it called weeaboos with swords, but that’s a point for another time. Nioh is a beautiful game to say the least, which I’d love to see on a gaming PC. But also, it has some crazy complicated mechanics that could be easier to operate on a PC too. Not only that, but Xbox One players would probably love their chance at slicing some yokai too.

Horizon: Zero Dawn

Horizon: Zero Dawn

We’ve reached the end of our PlayStation 4 exclusive journey, my friends. At the very top we’ve got Horizon: Zero Dawn . Much like my arguments in the rest of this list, such quality should not be limited to PlayStation 4 gamers. The rest of the world wants to play Horizon: Zero Dawn too! The other point for having this item in the list is the graphics. It is incredibly beautiful already on the PlayStation 4 Pro with HDR/4K graphics, but would would be a treat to see on a high-level gaming PC.
