A New, Crazy-Violent Carmageddon Is on the Way For Consoles, PC

Do you remember the first time you played a Burnout game? My very first one was actually Burnout 3: Takedown . I was so hopelessly addicted to that game, and then to Burnout Paradise, because there was a huge shift in focus from driving to mayhem. Yes the driving was solid, and yes the point was usually to win races, but the best part of any race or event was when you crashed; Criterion perfected the art of depicting wreckage, but Stainless Games actually blazed that trail for many of you in 1997 with the release of Carmageddon: a game that rewards you for not only wrecking, but for wrecking things, animals, and people. It’s super violent, and it’s super fun.

Stainless has announced Carmageddon: Max Damage, due out by the middle of the year for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game features over 30 vehicles, 10 environments, and a sinful amount of innocent victims for you to hunt and mow down. It was also revealed that if you own Carmageddon: Reincarnation on Steam, you’ll be able to download Max Damage for the very low price of totally effing free. Stainless Games loves its fans, and its fans love Carmageddon. Stay tuned for an official release date, and check out the announcement trailer right here:
