Arc System Works isn’t satisfied with its fighting game franchises, Guilty Gear and BlazBlue . Toshimichi Mori has said, at several times in the past, that he wanted to create a new fighting game franchise. Mori is most well-known for his work on BlazBlue , and he has commented that, as new hardware comes out, a new franchise should be made in order to keep up with it.
Recently, Arc System Works’ President Minoru Kidooka echoed this sentiment, In an interview with Famitsu, Kidooka said, “We’ve been throwing some ideas around, but nothing is concrete for the moment.” He also said, “We need to establish a new fighting game that follows Guilty Gear and BlazBlue .”
