The next PS2 game coming to PS4 has been revealed, and it’s Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits. Arc the who? Twilight of the what? Exactly. I never played this game, and I had never heard of it until today. Judging by the comments sections where the news broke, I don’t think that many people have happy memories (or any memory) of this game. Regardless, Sony sees fit to port this game with trophies over to the PS4 tomorrow for us all to enjoy.
Why Sony hasn’t given the bigger PS2 hits a chance on the PS4 I’m not sure. There are a ton of people who would love to play Ico, Crash Bandicoot, or Persona 3 or 4 on their PS4s. It probably has to do with licensing issues, but still… Sony, if you’re reading this article, with Persona 5 just around the corner I think Atlus would enjoy a massive boost in awareness if a couple of the PS2 Persona games were made available. Let’s try to make that happen, eh? In the meantime I suppose we’ll have to see what Arc the Lad is all about, or not. Yeah, probably not.
