It would appear that Sega’s use of Bayonetta in their April Fool’s Day joke this year might not have all been fun and games. Something sexy this way comes, as Sega has launched a countdown site that is definitely related to Bayonetta in some way shape or form. The site has a simple countdown of days, hours, and minutes that slowly ticks down as the minutes go by. The only other detail of significance on the site is the tab heading “Coming Soon,” as well as Bayonetta ‘s pistol stilettos in the background.
It’s entirely unclear what this teaser site could be hinting at. It’s possible that there might be a rerelease of one of the first two Bayonetta games coming out, possibly both together? Or maybe, just maybe, this could be a tease for Bayonetta 3 . If this is the case, this could finally be the traction the Switch needs to recover from recent quality issues. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is arguably selling the Switch right now, so the console desperately needs another title to draw more people in.
