Best Deals on Steam This Week: June 1, 2025 to June 7, 2025
The Steam Summer Sale begins in just a few weeks on June 26, 2025, but there are still weekly sales and deals to cash in on beforehand. While the Vampires & Zombies Fest promotion ended today, taking its place is a massive sale on all Activision-published titles, including some of the lowest-ever prices on several entries in the Call of Duty franchise (which, truthfully, don't see discounts on PC all that often). Aside from these heavy-hitters, though, there are hundreds of games that are currently on sale, with many of the best deals available this week only lasting through Thursday, June 6. In many cases, these games are at their historically lowest prices, and most could be considered essential pick-ups for fans of their respective genres.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
- Release Date — August 23, 2016
- Developer — Eidos Montreal
- Publisher — Eidos Interactive
- Genre — FPS, Stealth, Immersive Sim
- Steam User Score — 76% (Mostly Positive)
- Price — $4.49 (Normally $29.99, 85% off)
While we didn't know it at the time of its release, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided would end up being the (for now) last game in the rebooted take on Warren Spector's groundbreaking immersive sim series, and it's a major improvement over its already excellent predecessor, Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Mankind Divided leans more fully into the open-ended approach of the original Deus Ex, complete with several impressive semi-open world biomes that Adam Jensen can tackle however he chooses: either guns blazing, stealthy espionage, technical subterfuge, or a mix of all three. The current sale on Mankind Divided sees it back down to its lowest-ever price, and for less than $5 you're getting one of the better underrated games of the 8th console generation.
The Surge 2
- Release Date — September 23, 2019
- Developer — Deck 13
- Publisher — Focus Entertainment
- Genre — Soulslike, Action RPG
- Steam User Score — 77% (Mostly Positive)
- Price — $4.49 (Normally $29.99, 85% off)
Deck 13 may have stumbled a bit out of the gate with its first crack at a Dark Souls-like game, inadvertently helping to create the "Soulslike" genre with 2014's Lords of the Fallen. But its next two attempts with the sci-fi Soulslike series The Surge are genuinely great games, and The Surge 2 is really something special. While it does dial down the interesting horror tones of its predecessor, The Surge 2 features some excellent combat, a fascinating take on its map and world that mixes Dark Souls elements with a Metroidvania, and a unique approach to gear where you have to target enemies' limbs and steal their equipment. The Surge 2 regularly goes on sale, but it rarely ever is on sale for less than $5 like it is currently.
Eastward
- Release Date — September 16, 2021
- Developer — Pixpil
- Publisher — Chucklefish
- Genre — Action-Adventure, RPG
- Steam User Score — 83% (Very Positive)
- Price — $12.49 (Normally $24.99, 50% off)
At the time of its release, a lot of the hype surrounding Eastward was that it felt like someone crossed The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past with Earthbound and The Last of Us, and that's actually a fairly apt description. This heartfelt action-adventure RPG is about an unlikely partnership in a post-apocalyptic world between a gruff and hardened survivor and a young, optimistic girl with special powers whom he elects to protect as the two make a world-spanning journey. Combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving are all top-notch, and the game's story is incredible, with plenty of excellent characters bursting with charm.
Weird West: Definitive Edition
- Release Date — March 31, 2022
- Developer — WolfEye Studios
- Publisher — Devolver Digital
- Genre — RPG, Immersive Sim
- Steam User Score — 78% (Mostly Positive)
- Price — $5.99 (Normally $39.99, 85% off)
The immersive sim genre may not be quite as popular as it once was, but that hasn't stopped a small handful of talented developers from delivering some of the all-time best games in the genre in recent years. After working on incredible titles like Dishonored and Prey with Arkane (a studio he helped co-found), Raphaël Colantonio would form WolfEye Studios and deliver its debut title, Weird West. An isometric/top-down immersive sim in a supernatural, horror-tinged Wild West setting, Weird West is a phenomenal experience that only continued to get better thanks to patches and updates, and it's currently down to its lowest-ever price of $5.99. Fans of any of Arkane's titles definitely should give it a shot.
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy
- Release Date — October 26, 2021
- Developer — Eidos Montreal
- Publisher — Eidos Interactive
- Genre — Action-Adventure
- Steam User Score — 94% (Very Positive)
- Price — $8.99 (Normally $59.99, 85% off)
Perhaps the most criminally underrated of any of the modern games bearing the Marvel license, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy's gameplay is fairly by-the-book as far as action-adventure games go, but its story is second-to-none. That Eidos Montreal was able to tap into the same kind of electric chemistry and humor of the James Gunn version of the Guardians while also definitively making the video game version of the team unique is quite the feat, and it's not a stretch to say that the narrative of Guardians is the strongest of any of the modern Marvel games. Any fans of solid action-adventure games with great stories desperately need to give Guardians a shot if they haven't yet.
Timelie
- Release Date — May 20, 2020
- Developer — Urnique Studio
- Publisher — Urnique Studio
- Genre — Puzzle, Adventure, Stealth
- Steam User Score — 95% (Overwhelmingly Positive)
- Price — $8.99 (Normally $17.99, 50% off)
Narrative-led puzzle games with hints of adventure and stealth are almost a genre unto their own at this point, thanks to the number of titles inspired by modern classics like Limbo and Inside. One of the less-talked-about hidden gems in the genre that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with those titles is Timelie, which is currently 50% off and down to its lowest price. A unique take on the Inside-like puzzle game where players can use the ability to see the future to plan their present movements, Timelie is bursting with atmosphere and has some genuinely amazing moments that make it hard to put down until rolling credits.
Isles of Sea and Sky
- Release Date — May 22, 2024
- Developer — Cicada Games
- Publisher — Cicada Games, Gamirror Games
- Genre — Puzzle, Metroidvania
- Steam User Score — 93% (Very Positive)
- Price — $7.98 (Normally $19.99, 60% off)
The Metroidvania renaissance has led to all kinds of fun genre combinations, and one of the more unique to be found is in Isles of Sea and Sky. A blend of Sokoban block-pushing puzzle game and Metroidvania, Isles of Sea and Sky seems like it might just be a small, retro-inspired experience with low stakes, but it's deceptively large and actually features some real head-scratching puzzles. I happened to pick up Isles last year when it was on a similar sale to the one it's on now, which sees the normally $20 titles down to just $8 for the next few days.
Loop Hero
- Release Date — March 4, 2021
- Developer — Four Quarters
- Publisher — Devolver Digital
- Genre — Action Roguelike, Auto-Battler
- Steam User Score — 92% (Very Positive)
- Price — $3.74 (Normally $14.99, 75% off)
Four Quarters' Loop Hero is arguably one of the greatest roguelike games of the last several years, and it's currently down to its lowest-ever price of just $3.74, along with almost every other game in Devolver Digital's vast and incredible portfolio of indie titles. Part auto-battling old-school RPG and part deckbuilder, Loop Hero is able to hook you with a simple premise but gradually starts to reveal deeper and deeper layers of complexity the more you play, never stopping being rewarding the entire time, thanks to meaningful within-run and meta-progression.
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun
- Release Date — May 23, 2023
- Developer — Auroch Digital
- Publisher — Focus Entertainment
- Genre — FPS, Boomer Shooter
- Steam User Score — 91% (Very Positive)
- Price — $10.99 (Normally $21.99, 50% off)
The Warhammer IP continues to experience a nice moment of more widespread appreciation thanks to excellent video game adaptations like Space Marine 2 and Boltgun, the latter of which is currently down to its lowest-ever price of just $11. Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is one of the better "boomer shooters" of the last several years and makes great use of the Warhammer license, and it rarely ever goes on sale. Fans of old-school shooters, Warhammer, or both should definitely grab Boltgun while its on its rare discount for the next few days.
Othercide
- Release Date — July 27, 2020
- Developer — Lightbulb Crew
- Publisher — Focus Entertainment
- Genre — Turn-Based Tactics, Roguelike
- Steam User Score — 83% (Very Positive)
- Price — $4.49 (Normally $29.99, 85% off)
Turn-based tactics games and roguelikes go together quite well, and one of the hidden gem titles to feature that combination is Lightbulb Crew's Othercide. Essentially what you would get if you made a roguelike version of Firaxis' XCOM games with an eye-catching noir art style and some horror elements, Othercide is pretty challenging initially, but gradually becomes more forgiving and fun the more you play and unlock meaningful permanent upgrades. Othercide has been on sale before, but for the next few days it's back down to its historic low, and it's a deal almost too good to pass up.
