It’s almost hard to believe, but the end of 2024 is nearly upon us. Accordingly, that means many around the US are celebrating Thanksgiving while also gearing up for the consumer event of the year. Black Friday is traditionally a great time to score some unbeatable deals on a variety of goods, and the last several years have seen the gaming deals on Black Friday be some of the most popular for both gift givers and gift receivers. This year is no different, with plenty of games heavily discounted (including several The Game Awards nominees) along with some steep hardware discounts. Interestingly, there are some incredible deals to be found on PC hardware and components, which make that steep price tag for the new PS5 Pro seem even less appealing.
Each of the major retailers here in the US (Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and others) has some significant Black Friday gaming deals to take advantage of. And for PC gamers, the ongoing Black Friday sales on digital storefronts, key resellers, and the MicroCenter site make the end of November a great time to clean up on either hardware or software. Notably, the potential for PC component prices to rise due to promised tariffs could make right now the best time to buy. We’ve gone through the trouble of collecting some of the best deals available across each retailer. Better yet, we’re providing links that readers can use to scope out and cash in. These are the best gaming deals for Black Friday 2024.
PC Deals
The following hardware and software deals are some of the best bargains to be found for PC gaming.
PC Software Deals
Steam Autumn Sale
The annual Steam Autumn Sale that traditionally runs during Black Friday has just begun. From 11/27 to 12/4, the Steam storefront will feature hundreds of discounts on popular games, including several titles at their lowest prices ever. Some of the notable inclusions in the current sale are:
- Marvel’s Spider-Man ($29.99, 50% off)

- Resident Evil 4 (Remake) ($19.99, 50% off)
There are hundreds of other games available in the sale, including several titles as low as $1 or less. I personally used the sale as an opportunity to catch up on some titles I had on my Wishlist for months, including catching up on the DLC for Case of the Golden Idol.
Green Man Gaming
In addition to the official Steam sale, several key resellers have deep discounts on hundreds of games right now. One of the more trustworthy key resellers is Green Man Gaming, which currently has several noteworthy titles at lower prices. Some of the notable inclusions are:

As far as Steam key resellers go, CDKeys is one of the best and most patronized. Traditionally the place to find unbeatable discounts on popular games, CDKeys‘ current Black Friday sale is host to some of the best discounts on software available. Some of the notable sales are:

Along with both CDKeys and Green Man Gaming, Fanatical is a key reseller that players can essentially trust implicitly. Like other key resellers, Fanatical has an excellent sale going on right now for Black Friday that includes several highlights. Some of the better inclusions are:
- V Rising ($20.64, 41% off)
- Starfield: Shattered Space ($20.69, 31% off)
- Dark Souls Remastered ($17.79, 56% off)
- Horizon Forbidden West ($35.69, 41% off)

PC Hardware Deals
The potential for tariffs to impact the cost of imported PC components is leading to a surge of consumers buying parts that might have otherwise held off. Accordingly, several of the major retailers are cashing in on the uncertainty surrounding the PC component marketplace by slashing prices on several essential parts. Between CPU, GPU, Motherboards, RAM, SSDs, Monitors, and more, nearly every modular part of a PC build is currently experiencing some of its best sales in a long time.
Amazon
Some of the more notable sales on Amazon include higher-priced components (especially monitors) that are still expensive, albeit less so than they normally are.
- ASUS 27″ QHD OLED Monitor ($549, 27% off)

MicroCenter
Without a doubt, the best gaming deals to be found on PC hardware during Black Friday are at Micro Center. Micro Center continues to be one of the best places to buy PC parts, both in terms of their great pricing and their impeccable customer service. Combined with the ability to perform maintenance, tests, and diagnostics on PCs and their components, Micro Center offers a service that the other major retailers simply don’t. They also have some of the best Black Friday deals on components.

PlayStation Deals
There are some hardware deals to be found on PlayStation 5 hardware this Black Friday, especially with the recent release of the PS5 Pro. That said, most of the discounts you can find right now are centered on software, with some of the absolute best PS5 games’ physical versions heavily discounted.
- Final Fantasy XVI (50% off at Amazon)
- Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (43% off at Amazon and Best Buy)
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (40% off at Best Buy and on PSN)

Nintendo Switch Deals
Even though the Switch is over 7 years old, Nintendo’s hybrid console shows only marginal signs of slowing down. Unit sales are still respectable this late into the console’s life cycle, and there are surprisingly few discounts to be found on hardware. However, as far as software is concerned, there are plenty of deals on Nintendo Switch physical games during Black Friday (not to mention a massive ongoing sale at the Nintendo eShop).
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (57% off at Walmart)
- Super Mario Odyssey (50% off at Best Buy and Target)
- Kirby and the Forgotten Land (30% off at Best Buy)
- Pikmin 4 (33% off at Best Buy and GameStop)

Xbox Deals
Our list of the best gaming deals on Black Friday culminates with Xbox. Interestingly, Microsoft has spent the better part of the last 18 months pivoting its business strategy from hardware sales toward making sure that the Xbox ecosystem is accessible on just about every modern device. Of course, hardware sales of actual Xbox consoles are still an important pillar of Microsoft’s business, and the manufacturer has come through with some great deals on the Series X and Series S. With Game Pass the current best deal in gaming, even just a Series S is a great stepping stone to hundreds of incredible games at a reasonable monthly fee.
- Xbox Series S ($250 at Best Buy, 17% off)
- Xbox Series X ($400 at Best Buy, 11% off)
- Seagate Xbox Storage Expansion, 2TB ($130 at Amazon and Best Buy, 35% off)
