Borderlands 3, Gears of War 5, and More Coming Soon?

The ever vigilant Wario64 has recently spotted a fair amount of listings on the Walmart Canada online storefront that have many trying to curb their excitement. The main theory is that these listings were simply created to hold a place for games that might be announced at E3 2018. Don’t have to scramble to list a newly announced game if you already have it up on the site!

Included within these listings are titles that absolutely do not exist yet, and have not been announced:

  • Splinter Cell
  • Forza Horizon 5 (Presumably this is a typo, meant to read Forza Horizon 4 )
  • Just Cause 4
  • Rage 2
  • Borderlands 3
  • Gears of War 5

Lending credibility to the potential announcement of the above games are the following pre-order listings for already announced titles:

  • Insurgency: Sandstorm
  • Tom Clancy’s The Division 2
  • The Last of Us 2
  • Final Fantasy 7 Remake
  • Metroid Prime 4
  • NBA 2K19
  • Beyond Good and Evil 2
  • WWE 2K19
  • Super Smash Bros
  • Lego DC Villains (Incorrectly spelled as “Lego DC Villans”)
  • Dreams
  • Destiny Comet (DLC)

There are a couple other pre-order listings up on Walmart Canada that just don’t seem to make any sense. First off, Dragon Quest 2 is there. Could this be a remaster of the classic game? Could it be referring to Dragon Quest Builders 2 ? Perhaps it’s just a mistake. It’s really hard to say at this moment in time. The other bizarre one is a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One listing for Assassin’s Creed , the latter one is misspelled as “Assasins Creed.” Is it another potential remaster or reboot? Who knows.

All of the above listings are completely unconfirmed by their representative developers and publishers. But it’s possible we just got a sneak peek of what’s to come at E3.
