Borderlands 3 Will Take Over September

Borderlands 3 Will Take Over September

We have a Borderlands 3 release date! After being announced at PAX East 2019 , Gearbox Software wasted no time in dropping even more details about the upcoming game. Most important is knowing we won’t have to wait too long to play it. Borderlands 3 will let us head into Vaults with the new hunters Amara, Flak, Moze, and Zane on September 13, 2019. That’s when you can get it on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

There’s a catch with the PC version of Borderlands 3, though! It is a temporary Epic Games Store exclusive. You will only be able to find it there for the next year. It won’t show up on other digital storefronts until April 2020.

As is common with such major releases, there will be multiple variations to choose from. The preorder for all versions is a gold weapon skins & weapon trinket add-on. You get that if you get the $59.99 standard, $79.99 deluxe, and a $99.99 super deluxe edition. The standard version just gives you the game. The Borderlands 3 Deluxe Edition gives you the Retro Cosmetic Pack with Vault Hunter head & skin, Echo Device skin, and weapon skin, the Neon Cosmetic Pack with the Vault Hunter head & skin, Echo Device skin, and weapon trinket, the Toy Box Weapon Pack with two toy guns, toy grenade mod, and weapon trinket, and boost mods for loot and XP. The super deluxe edition has everything the deluxe edition does, as well as a Butt Stallion weapon skin, weapon trinket, and grenade mod and what is essentially a season pass that will eventually give you four campaign add-on packs with more stories and missions.

This was all accompanied by a new Borderlands 3 trailer. This showed us Amara, Flak, Moze, and Zane in action, as well showed the Calypso Twins, the new cult leader villains, in action.

If that left you wanting more, an even more robust, extended gameplay reveal live stream has been set for May 1, 2019. Better mark your calendars!
