Gearbox is planning to release an iOS version of Borderlands this month in the form of Borderlands Legends.
A page from the Borderlands 2 digital strategy guide confirms the existence of Borderlands Legends, which has been “specifically designed for mobile and tablet.” The game is purportedly due for a launch this month on the iPhone and iPad.
The portable version will feature original Borderlands heroes Mordecai, Lilith, Roland, and Brick, in addition to the inclusion of thousands of weapons.
Borderlands Legends will see players killing enemies for cash, as well as being able to level up, purchase weapons, earn experience and unlock new abilities. Each character will boast its own unique skill tree.
Missions for the iOS title, meanwhile, will be randomized and accompanied by a “strategic cover system.”
