A really weird but incredibly cool new indie game called Pause Screen from Battletoads has just been released. It’s about, appropriately enough, the pause screen from Battletoads .
Bear with me here, it’s more awesome than it sounds.
You start off on the grappling level, that infamous plunge down and incredibly long pit. However, no matter how long you fall, you seem to fall forever. Your game is glitched, and outside of your normal commands, the only thing you have at your disposal is the pause screen that it’s funky music.
Of course, if you keep brute forcing in commands, something is bound to happen right? That’s what the challenge of this game is, figuring out how to get out of your glitched game into something reminiscent of progress. It’s a fun little game and worth a try, and you can download it here.
