Call of Duty: WWII Takes up More Space on PS4

Call of Duty: World War II is all set to release on November 3, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PCs. It’s already shaping up to be potentially one of the best Call of Duty games in recent years. So it makes sense that lots of fans are going to be pre-loading the game before it fully releases. This will mean a much longer wait time for PlayStation 4 players over those gaming on the Xbox One.

It’s already been revealed that the Xbox One digital version of Call of Duty: World War II will take up 45GB of hard drive space. As it turns out, the PlayStation 4 requirement is a much higher 80GB. This was discovered by a Reddit user (NightRaptorX5Text) on the back of a digital PlayStation 4 card for Call of Duty: World War II . It lists the 80GB requirement as a minimum, so Sony fans need to be prepared to delete some data to make room.

There are guesses that possibly the 80GB number is a bit inflated. Some games use a higher number to include the space required for DLC for the game, not just the base space needed. That could be the case with Call of Duty: World War II , but it’s hard to be certain. At the very least, a larger space requirement for the PlayStation 4 version of the game over Xbox One makes sense because it’s PS4 Pro-enhanced. This same technology could be available on the Xbox One X version of Call of Duty: World War II , but it will most likely be downloaded later as a patch.

Do you have 80GB of spare space on your PlayStation 4 hard drive to devote to Call of Duty: World War II ?
