Check out Halo: The Master Chief Collection’s “Terminal” Trailer

The Halo: The Master Chief Collection has received a new trailer as of Saturday, July 5. Entitled “ Terminal ”, the video in question is presented in a way that’s similar to how the terminals in Halo 3 and Halo 4 (and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary ) present their snippets of background lore and information.

Narrated by the Arbiter, the video itself showcases a brief glimpse in what could be his backstory between the events of Halo 3 and the upcoming sequel Halo 5: Guardians . Judging by the Arbiter’s dialogue, it could be suggested that he is speaking to the recently revealed SPARTAN Agent Locke , who made a brief appearance in the Halo: Master Chief Collection’s E3 announcement trailer.

In a recent interview with 343 Industries’ general manager Bonnie Ross, it was revealed that the Halo studio is currently focused on developing Halo titles for Microsoft’s Xbox One right now, following inquiries of more PC releases of Halo titles.

Furthermore, franchise community manager Andy Dudynsky has also revealed that Halo: The Master Chief Collection (which is touted to run at 1080p, 60 frames per second ) won’t be making its way to the Xbox 360 because the last-gen console simply won’t be able to support the bundle and what it brings in terms of visual fidelity and enhanced features.

The Master Chief Collection is slated to release on Tuesday, November 11 this year–just about exactly 10 years since the original Halo 2 initially launched–exclusively for Xbox One.
